Emnast nods slowly. "So... what am I then... I... I feel so different..." he says looking down at his feet and shaking his head. "A dragon... to be sure... but there's a furnace inside me... something burning bright..."

Let us just say he has a rather shocking breath weapon. Wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of it, nope not at all.

Emnast starts to disagree with his assessment of his age, then he looks at Paladine, who had been merely slightly larger than he to begin with, but who now towers over his head. "I suspect a touch of cosmic irony in this shape and size..." he grumbles testily, then sighing he flashes Kerobian a weak smile. "Tis a wondrous form, a melding of the two of us into something completely new... but the price was far too great. And as we have work to do, I would far rather get to......"

Suddenly Emnast staggers and with a stunned surprised look on his face, he crumbles in place.

Paladine sighs and shakes his head. "For one so old, you would think he'd understand the limitations of one's physical body. He'll be lucky if he can walk tomorrow, much less a week from today. Kero, take him home. Not to his home... he has been through much and even though he believes he understands the loss he has been dealt... I doubt truly he has felt it's full effect. Returning him to there will only drive the fact home in a way that may actually drive him mad. Once you are certain he is safe... return... we have to reformulate our battle plans and quickly. Your young apprentice said that most but not all our young have been infected beyond restoration. I would... if we can at least free them from their misery and save what few we can."

Paladine meats him near the border of the two realms and flies with him into Elysium. Of Tamara there is no sign. He takes him to a large clearing where the heads of the dragon clans are discussing the recent events.

"Is it true... our young... are they..." begs a small ruby dragon.

Paldine nods thoughtfully at his words. "How to you propose we capture them then. Both your brother and Shia advised against coming into contact with them. I saw the aftermath of that worm on a full grown adult creature. Therefore I have no wish to harbor one within myself, though I doubt truly it would find me an easy meal. Still most of us here would be fair game to it's intrusion. And do we even know how it spawns? Is it through contact? Is it airborne? Or does it need a more direct pathway... through an inflicted injury?"

"She is not without her own resources. For all I know she could be having tea with your Master or sulking in her palace. I would like to say I could trace her movements, but in truth... nothing binds the two of us except a shared purpose. The need to rescue our young." says Paladine with something that bordered a growl of disgust.

"You named her and oath breaker and indeed I too have said this is so, but her people should not share her fate. Would you condemn many for the sins of the one?"
