Kojiro would turn at the last second, taking the wooden weapon to the thigh instead - an injury to the groin muscle still but not one that would prevent offspring. He would turn and deliver a wound to its leg instead (since he raised once for called shots, not thrice), a blow to match the one he had received. His blade would stab through its leg, and it would scream out, but otherwise didn't seem afraid.
Miyako postpones for a few seconds...
Denbe showed no respect for the elderly as he roundhoused the older goblin's skull, a blow that was almost neck-snappingly strong. It reeled from the blow, but managed to recover its senses.
Miyako saw an opening as Denbe backed off, flinging her dagger at the heartiest-looking bakemono, the tiny blade plunging into it's back. A definite wound, though it didn't seem to be deterred much.
The goblins would continue their attack. The elderly one would come darned close to hitting Kojiro with his stick, but the wound he had just received caused him to miss by an inch! The flames then seem to cripple him!
The eyepatched goblin doesn't even come close! The flames then seem to injure him further!
The angry goblin was too blinded by rage to threaten anyone in his state! The flames then seem to cripple him!
The large-eared bakemono was trying to injure Kojiro with the hilt of the dagger sticking out of its back! It seemed to be a poor tactical decision and it didn't even register beyond Kojiro's armor. The flames then seem to cripple him!
Masuyo... yeah. That... yeah.

Masuyo looked on in marveled horror as the corrupted creatures continued to beat on the human torch. The Bushi and kami seemed to have things well under control, and since Kojiro was still flailing around inside a space no one else could effectively help with, she was quite at a loss for what else to do... until the putrid smell of roasting goblins reached her, and with the highest level of irony, gave her an idea. Putting the scroll back into its satchel, she cast about in search of an appropriate stick.

Masuyo, her job complete, would call it a day and begin searching the area. She finds a stick, but it is more of a TWIG than anything, and easily breakable.
The odd-eyed bakemono seemed to still be fairly rambunctious, but the fire proved to be an adequate barrier between Kojiro and more pain. The fire then seemed to hurt it further!
Non-spellcasting samurai, go!

Kojiro continued to stand his ground and fight the bakemono. He had not heard any of them shouting over his equipment....not that he could tell, so he took a slice at the eye patched goblin! Obviously, he was the leader of this band and Kojiro would gain much experience from fighting him.

The Hare would back up, looking at the swarm of goblins trapped in the small, swordy inferno that was Kojiro right now, looking like they were roasting quite well on their own. Even so, he felt a little uneasy leaving his companion solely on the principle of "magic will protect him for us."
"Ancestors preserve..."
And darting forward, the Hare would shout, "KAI-UP!" focusing in on the most successful- and least injured- goblin thus far, making sure that he could do to it what the fire seemed to be doing to the others. Hopping- not so much up but off the ground, as he seemed to be ducking already on his way in- the Hare dropped his Katana, bracing his hands on the walls of the shrine to keep himself aloft for just a moment- to deliver a mighty-not-really-flying Heel to the dopey looking bakemono.

Instead of using her last remaining knife however, Miyako flicked open the fan at her side, and used that to slash at the creature (non PC) closest to her since her player is tired, trying to do work, etc and needs to post before the DM.

Kojiro would find that their assault was weakening, even if their determination was not, and went for the apparent leader-looking bakemono. With a slice that cleaved through his wrist and delivered a fatal blow to him, the goblin fell still against him, his hide beginning to bubble!
Denbe would rush forward, NOT leaping like a hare into the shrine that can barely fit the combat as is, but still delivering a devastating kick that seemed to internally shatter the point of impact in the goblin's skull as it fumbled too into Kojiro, bubbling and boiling.
Miyako plays the random chance game, and based on my d6 roll, she whaps her fan against the angriest-looking goblin, showing him what for! He didn't seem too grievously injured from it, but he definitely wasn't any better off.
The angry bakemono with a purple mark on its arm would continue battering at Kojiro, but its wounds were getting the better of him and he was losing too much steam to be a threat.. As the fire wore him down, he would collapse against Kojiro, using him for support.
The elderly bakemono would whack weakly against Kojiro's armor with his curved stick, each hit presenting less force than the last. The elderly one suddenly caught fire and fell, writhing and Out, into Kojiro! His flesh too began to boil like the others.
The big-eared goblin would huck his rock at Kojiro at point-blank range, missing by a large measure, before flopping down, ears and all, across Kojiro's back, worn down by the flames.
Masuyo, you're up! Anything clever up your sleeve?
