 Larkanna felt him become tense when a girl name Valerie was mentioned. Looking over at him, she gave him the look that told him that he'd have to tell her later or she would bother him to the point where it came out eventually. "Yes, I know I've heard that the levels you've got in store for everyone are targeted towards ridding yourself of me. Anti-witching spells are useless as well as trying to put magicless-tongue potion in my drink." Reaching forward with her free hand, she flicked open a tiny vial filled with a green liquid and poured a single droplet into the contents of her goblet. There was a hissing sound and colored smoke rose from the gold cup. Many wizards and sorcerors looked at her, impressed that she'd seen something like that coming. Many asked her if they could use it and she allowed those who wanted to check their drinks do so. Several others hissed and steamed. She still smiled pleasantly, as if she were talking about the weather over tea and snacks.

Silvus smiled and then started to laugh and started to clap " Oh my!" he said "What a grand show this is." he said " My boy you have certainly picked the perfect partner!" he said " I don't know how you got bound to her but fate sure was doing you a favor." he said but went eerie quiet when Lilletbegan to speak. Lillet laughed holding a steaming cup in her hands " My dear witch, I do not need the aid of a simple game tower and its levels to destroy you." she said " I could crush yuor mind with a single word and rid you of yuor magic with but a soft snap of my fingers." she said. She smiled " I commend you on making it this far even with the restriction in place...I find it rather odd you were able to use any magic at all." she said and smiled. She turned gave Larkanna a deadly glare " But how do you plan to stop me when you can't stop the one with the world's end curse." she said and her gave turned towards Elkand. Lilelt was very well aware that Larkanna wanted to stop her but at the moment and with her current skill and powers Lillet could cruse Larkanna easily.

"It's not wise to underestimate our power or bond, Lillet." Lark said, continuing her peaceful charade. "You might be more powerful when it comes to magic, but there are greater things than magic, though you might not think so." She was doing everything in her power to keep herself sitting and not throwing her own magic at the wretched woman. Glancing nervously over at Elkand, she knew that their peers were finding this conversation confusing and completely foreign to their secluded thoughts.

Lillet simply laughed " Oh yes yuor bond with our little Elkand." she said " Neither of you are strong enough to even put a scratch on me and yuor bond is something I can easily." she waved her hand in front of them leaving a silver trail but a second later that silver trail shattered " Shatter." she said. Elkand's eyes went wide as he suddenly felt the bond between him and Larkanna vanish completely but everything hit him hard. He held his head and put it on the table as his head was already starting to pound hard and all of the things Larkanna held as part of their bond suddenly came rushing into his head. This shocked everyone at the table but no one made a move to help or even stand just whispered to themselves.

The moment their bond was shattered, Larkanna felt the pain crash over her like a tidal wave. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she covered her eyes with her hands, trying to rid herself of the pain. Power began to simmer through her veins once again, bringing her back to her original state of magical strength, which had once been enough to easily change the universe. Even with all of her power renewed, lonliness filled her entire being. She felt hollow and fragile, though her magical abilities might state something different.

Elkand continued to hold his head as the pain continued to remain strong in his mind. He was squeezing his head trying to adjust to the rush of power and pain...his darkness was completely his now and he had to get used to it being present in his mind but the shadow was large. The mark on his hand seemed to light itself of fire as if trying to eradicate itself from Elkand entirely so he had no chance to reconnecting with Larkanna.
Lillet chuckled " So Larkanna how does it feel to your powers back?" she asked " Power that was said to be enough to shatter the fabric of time itself." she said " But how does your soul feel?" she asked " Empty? Hollow? Like your missing something important?" she smiled " Thats the kind of thing a bond such as yours brings it strengthens and yet weakens you." she said " A beings magical power is only strong when the user feels compete." she said " Would you like me to repair your bond?" she asked " You only have a minute before its gone forever." she said.

"Please! Please repair it!" Lark egged, surprised by how quickly she begged. She had enough power to do it herself, but it wouldn't be the same. Everything felt as if it had no meaning or purpose, like she couldn't hang on, like she was worthless. By know, she was on her knees on the floor, doing everything she could to keep herself from curling up into a feeble position.

Lillet smirked and waved her hands over the silver fragments that were their bond and it instantly reconnected " Now do you see what your trying to destroy?" she asked " Even with yuor bond you have no hope of stopping me." she said " Now I'm tired...its time to rest." she said " But I'll leave you with one last taste of my power." she said " Zalem." she whispered and snapped they were teleported to their room but Larkanna was hit with an intense rush of fear and anxiety and her vision would be altered to see her worst fears over and over and over again and it would seem so real it would be hard to differentiate between what was real and what was false even after the spell's effect was done.

Larkanna felt their bond be repaired, but the moment that it rushed upon her, she was forced to see her worst nightmares. She no longer had all of the power she had moments ago and wouldn't be able to break it without focusing with Elkand, but she couldn't keep herself from being entirely focused on the images before her eyes. Imaginary demons of all shapes and sizes lunged at her, sending her into defensive mode, which meant that she began lashing out with spells to send them back. They began to overwhelm her and just when she was about to be consumed by the mob of hellish creatures, it changed and she watched all of her loved ones, including her families, past mentors, and Elkand be slaughtered.

Elkand started her as she to see then nightmares but he could not see what she was seeing. To him she looked like she was just babbling incessantly probably due to her increased fatigue but soon he heard what she was saying. His mother had used a spell on her and it was obviously very strong. He moved over to her however he was very tired and grabbed her arms. She was flailing them around wildly as if trying to reach something or keep something away from her. He held her close and tried to connect their souls but he found it difficult to reach as it seemed to be surrounded by a dark shroud and fear and panic. He tried to speak to her, to reach her even with the spell in place " Larkanna. Larkanna you have to listen to me." he said " Try and calm down and just focus for a moment." he said still trying to connect but it was nearly impossible. He knew must have been seeing something terrifying and cruel for her to be acting this way beacuse to Elkand it seemed to him someone like her feared almost nothing and even if she faced her fear it wouldn't be as scary as it seemed to be.

The next thing she knew, Larkanna was being pinioned by something unseen by her nightmarish eyes. Struggling, she thought that it might be some sort of invisible demon or creature, but then there was a voice that broke through it all. It told her to calm down and focus for a moment. Stopping long enough to feel a strange sensation pass through her, she could tell that he wanted to connect their souls. Closing her eyes and leaning against him, she ignored the imaginary creatures screams and wails as they tore each apart, making sure to leave her for last. "They're dead!" She cried. "Everyone's dead! Elkand... Elkand's gone!"

Elkand stared at her a little shocked at what she said and he tightened his hold on her getting closer to her ear " Larkanna just focus." he said as he wasn't able to connect. His step-mothers spells were obviously strong as he had never seen anyone act this way even with a fear spell. He now saw the danger she posed to everyone whether they be witch or wizard and he finally saw she needed to be stopped otherwise she could stop them in their tracks and destroy their goals entirely and not to mention their lives. He desperately start to try and calm her down but it was jsut too powerful to break through and she would have to try on her own but it didn't look like she could do it " Larkanna just calm down I'm still here I'm not dead." he said and then started to repeat it to her to give her something to go by if she actually heard here " I'm right here Larkanna and I'm not dead." he started to repeat over and over and over trying to get her to clam down.

Again the voice came through the nightmares and gave Larkanna something else to listen to other than the creatures as they snarled and yowled. For a moment, she recognized the voice. Relief rushed through her as she calmed down, forcing herself to not give in to the urge to fight off the imaginary monsters that haunted her. "Elkand...?" She whispered, strugglging to make her own side of the connection focus. Then it 'clicked' into place and she could tell that he was there behind her, holding her back from destroying something.

Elkand nodded " I'm right here Larkanna." he said still holding her as he felt her trying to connect as well. He pushed himself to get past her barrier and made a small connection with her " Try and snap out of it Larkanna." he said " Its just an illusion none of it is real." he said thinking she was starting to connect the dots and make her way out of it. He was making sure she didn't start flinging killing spells at everything since they were in the room together and there was no door. Hr hoped she snapped out of it soon as he started to worry.

Larkanna began to fight off the spell using his calming words and the knowledge that he wasn't actually dead as the illusion before her eyes said. Finally, after several long minutes, she managed to break free of the spell and she blinked several times to realize that she wasn't in that god-forsaken dungeon filled with monsters and all of her loved ones massacred before her very eyes. Glancing about to make sure it wasn't just a trick of the demons, she felt Elkand's breath on her neck. He was there holding her back from hurting herself or the others. Turning, she threw her arms around him and buried her face in his chest. "You-you were dead!"
