"I honestly don't know what the Professor saw in her. She was brainless... Witless... She certainly wasn't strong. In pokemon or physical labor. She could hardly make cereal without screwing it up. I just don't understand it." Keri spoke without a feeling of regret or sympathy. She didn't regret killing her 'mother'. But then again, she certainly wasn't proud that it was herself who killed her. "Love is such a foreign language to me." Keri had said it without realizing it. That thought was one of the many that was meant to live inside her mind and never escape to the real world.

Marshall  _-Sleeping on the floor-_ Marshall looked at her silently " I guess he just loved her, stupidity doesn't mean you can't love someone." he said " If you can appreciate a person for who they are...you can love them." he said and looked at her. He just stared blankly " I see, but still even you know when you love someone." he said as he wasn't going to bring up the fact she mumbled in her sleep and said that she loved him. Keri smirked and ran a hand through her hair which had turned blood red in the darkness of the moonlit room. "Maybe the sub-conscious part of me knows." she pulled her right knee up closer to her body and rested her elbow on it. "It would be nice if it was willing to share that information." she chuckled.

Keri felt his gaze upon her and finally looked over at him. "What?" she smiled wondering why the heck he was staring at her like that.

Now Keri was extremely curious. Just what was it that Marshall seemed to know so much about? Keri could see the slight blush that was starting to form on Marshall's cheeks and had a hunch who he was talking about. But she honestly just wanted to hear him say it out loud. "Go on..." she urged.

The knowledge of that somehow didn't shock Keri at all. But hearing it said out loud certainly did. Keri really didn't really know how to respond to this. All she knew was that her gut was right to begin with and she wanted to just fall into Marshall's arms. But she also knew that that was not the thing to do at the moment. "I see..." was all she could say.

"There's nothing for you to be sorry about." Keri said as she pushed herself off of the bed. "I just need a little time to think is all." she said as she made her way out of the room. As soon as she was in the hallway, Keri turned around to face Marshall through the open door. "Goodnight, West." was all she said before turning back around and proudly striding down the hall as if nothing had happened.

The next morning Jacie woke up long before Marcus and quietly made her way out of the room and down to the breakfast area of the hotel. She silently made herself a cup of coffee as one of the hotel employees put fresh doughnuts into the clear plastic case as an older couple gossiped about life a few tables away from her.
"I heard rumors about a Team Omni sighting in the next town over." the older lady said. Jacie kept her ears open as she mixed sugar and creamer into her steaming glass.
"That's no surprise. There's been a lot of sightings of those fools lately. It's getting ridiculous." the man said. Jacie still listened to their idle chatter as she made her way over to a table a few feet away from them next to an open window that seemed to be sucking in the cool morning air into the muggy hotel.
That morning Keri slept in much later than she normally would have. Most likely due to last night's events. She tried to shake away the nagging voice in her head as she got ready for the day. But for some reason that didn't seem at all possible. No matter how hard she tried, the events of late kept coming back to her. Like a haunting victim of a murder.
