Zant slipped the crystal back into his pocket, " Do you think I would come all this way just to hand over this precious crystal? Hah! You are foolish man, I came for Cielene, and no one is going to keep me from her!" Zant was furious at the audacity of this man to waltz in take Cielene and then try to claim that he could mop the floor with Zant. Well now was the time for Zant to take action and prove himself the better of the two. He pulled a dagger from the sheath on his belt and held it out, pointing the tip at the man, " Let us fight!"
"Perhaps..", Link muttered at Jesse. He had expected there to be some enemies to be fought, he had done this before, but he was fuming over the fact that he had been struck from behind because he had let his guard down thinking that the room was empty..I guess I'm just a little rusty.. He walked over to Kuri's floating figure," How is the decoding coming along?", he asked his voice full of the eagerness that he felt to leave this room.

Diness looked at Assis, seeing him studying her again, it was like he was dying to ask something, but at the same time, he didn't wish to. She noticed him glancing at her, then towards the ground right next to him. This made Diness assume he wanted her next to him. Moving she sat down right next to him feeling the warm air of the night.
"You know, if I was five again... I would have never expected that I'd be all the all the way out here, it was always my dream to get out of Castle Town when my Dad left for war... I wanted to go with him, but I was too little. And when I finally had grown up, I didn't have enough money to leave town..." Diness said, looking around at the darkened field, leaning her head on her arms.
Diness looked over at Assis and gave her a small smile. Moving and lying back to look up at the stars. "Me and my dad would go star gazing... Sorry, you probably don't want to hear about my boring life..." She said, shyly, turning her head. She was worried that she was boring Assis with her own life.
Kuri was looking at the symbols on the door. Each of the symbols had a small hole as if something was missing from it. "Looks like we're going stone hunting... I'm guessing each stone is a different element to each symbol, see, Water, Fire, Grass and Lightning." She explained pointing to four points on the door. She turned moving the orbs and directed the light and saw that there was four different doors with each of their symbols.

Kurogane laughed as looked at Zant's dagger compared to his sword. "Well... You will wish you had doe that when you are scattered on this floor!" The man then forced a kiss on Cielene before taking action. "Too bad you'll never enjoy her! She shall be all mine... A slave to my desire! Ha! Like I planned from the first time I attempted to take over the kingdom!" The man then shoved the girl back, slamming to doors behind her so she couldn't escape. He twisted his sword in his hand back n forth, readying himself for Zant's attack. However, he was more interested to see his reaction to his words.
Jesse raised an eyebrow. then sighed. "Great... more work... and did you say... Lightning?" He had no idea how they were supposed to capture a power like that.

"Well, each stone should hold their own element." Kuri said, floating back over to the doors. "Looks like theirs a torch over each, so each torch should indicate which one we did... It should light up the room. Alright, which one should we do first, or should we split up?" She asked floating down to the ground, her little feet actually touching the ground before there was a burst of light, there stood Zelda, or what looked like Zelda, except there was a few additions, two wings were on her back, her hair was light brown and curly, she was wearing a yellow dress, the triforce of wisdom was on her forehead, and her milky white skin had a yellow glow to it.

Zant shook his head, this man was clearly trying to scare him with his boasting but he had slipped up in mentioning his failed attempt at taking over the moon kingdom, Zant now fully believed that this battle would be a cinch. Zant watched how the man played with his sword, it angered him how boastful and vain he was. Without a word of warning Zant dived toward him, feigning an attack on the man's left side, then dodging off to the side and sliced at the man's hand.
Link took at step back when Kuri changed her form to look like Zelda. "Nice.", he said while giving her a friendly wink. Then in a serious voice Link said, "I think we should split up, that way we can catch up on some wasted time." By now he had given up on the idea that this would be a simple, brief adventure. Link thought for a moment before adding, "Where do you suggest we begin the search?"

Jesse smiled at seeing Zelda's form, but he knew it wasn't truly her. He then sighed; he knew Link was right. "This isn't going to be easy... I do not know this land... therefore I have no idea as to where to even begin my search..."
Kurogane leapt back with speed despite his tallness. However, Zant seemed to be faster than he had thought; His hand had a shallow cut on it. Yet, instead of blood leaking out, it seemed like a gooey black substance. Kurogane simply smiled. The wound he recieved barely hurt. Yet it was only his left hand where he had his sword. He lashed out with his sword at the man's under belly as he sped by him. "You will have to better than that. At least Jesse could handle a sword... He was the only reason I lost..." His face contorted with anger at the memory of him getting defeated by Jesse. But he had trained since then and was prepared for anything.

"You won't have to go far then this shrine Jesse, I suggest you get Grass, you'll have to go through that door." She said, pointing towards it. "Link, you should get Lightning. I'll get Water and Fire, since I can fly, it should be easier for me, so I'll get two." She said, her wings fluttering a bit, sending sparkles down to the ground. She saw Jesse's smile fade. "Don't worry, we'll get Zelda soon enough, I know this is a delay, but this is the only way to the twilight realm... I apologize for putting this upon you two..." Kuri said, her ears folding back when she thought about how Zelda liked Jesse. She turned, heading off to the door she had assigned herself to. Fire should be first, she stopped right on a small foot of land, everything below her was a lake of lava. She laughed, if this was for a person who had to find their way across on foot. It would be more difficult, fortunately for her, she had wings. Spreading them she flew off.

Link headed towards the door marked with the symbol of lightening, he put his hand upon it and could feel a sort of electrical pulse going through the door..This should be fun.. He pushed the door open and walked out onto a platform. The 'sky' was heavy with clouds, in fact it seemed they were just a few feet from Link's head, that seemed to be the main light source with all of the flashes of lightening emanating from them. Link looked about and spotted the top of a ladder at the edge of the platform. He looked over the edge and saw that there was another layer of lightningful clouds a few feet down obscuring the view of wherever this ladder led to. Link could see no other way to move about besides this ladder so he began his descent..
Zant had jumped back in time to avoid any serious injury from the slash at his stomach which only left a faint scratch. He was filled with anger when the man compared him to Jesse which quickened his pace as he again came at the man, this time his dagger clanged as it came in contact with the man's sword signifying that the real fight was about to begin..

Assis looked sheepishly back at Diness when she said that last part. He was more than happy to hear about someone else's life, even though he had only just realised how happy he was about it. Anything had to be better than his own. Rolling in self-pity over the death of his imfamous father, the man who single-handedly raged war against this land, wasn't exactly the greatest way to live. At least this girl could go back to her fond memories. All Assis had for memories were.... his young training days. How many times he could have died....
Assis smiled as he looked up into the sky with her. He wasn't going to lay on his back, however. It was bare, and the grass would feel like strips of paper cutting into his skin. He never could stand the feel of grass. Wet or dry, it always itched. Sand was never like that. It was warm and comfortable. no matter what time of day or night. At least, it was to him. Still, he looked up at the sky just as she was. It was peaceful here, if nothing else. Despite the noise, which was like nails on a chalkboard to him, he found the sights to be quite tranquil.
"Please, I...."
He stopped for a second, feeling almost embarassed about what he wanted to say.
"Well, I like hearing you talk. I don't get to listen to many people, so when I do, I make good use of our time together."
Of course, when he had said "our time" he had meant it in a general sense, but it had sounded almost as if he were refering to the short time they had spent together just this night. He had, but that was beside the point.
"Uhh.... you wouldn't want to hear my story anyway."
He looked down past his feet when he said this.He was convinced of what her reaction would be when he told her the truth. Although, he still wanted to spend a little more time with her. He could easily take the path to Kakariko village and find the graves himself, but.... he would rather have her company. He wanted her to stay beside him. It was his Gerudo blood, tugging at his mind, telling him to throw himself at her. No matter how much he resisted, the temptation was there. This girl resembled a Gerudo woman, and her spirit held the fire of passion you generally found in them. She was everything he wanted, and he was begining to give in to thetemptaion in his mind. If nothing else, just to hold her hand once. Just to feel what the hands of such a fine woman would feel like was all he could have asked for.

Diness glanced over to him, a small strange look on her face, did he really want to hear about her life? She turned and started to think to herself, trying to think back to when she was with her father, or even with her mother, well, not her mother. She could barley even know what her mother looked like. All she could remember was she had darker skin than her, long red hair like hers and she was a fantastic dancer. "Well, after my mom died, my dad thought that if I took one step out the door, I'd fall over and trip over myself, getting a bloody nose or something... guess that's how fathers are. Anyways, he wouldn't let me out of his sight, or anyone else's sight either... but we were very poor... so when I turned three, he signed up as a soldier, and soon enough, he was sent off to war... I... never saw him again..." Diness shook her head, turning her head back over to him. "Sorry, I don't mean to bore you with sob stories... Besides, I got through okay, I started to be independent... maybe that's why my father was so over protective of me... and in the end left..." Shaking her head at the memories, she hated remembering those memories, they were over, done with, gone.

Assis sat quietly listening to her story. She kept on about how her life was boring to him. The truth was, from what he could tell, that she was the one who didn't want to hear about her life. He could tell because he himself was less than fond of his own past. He didn't even want to begin, for fear she may feel as if he were trying to out-do her with sob stories. Still, he could tell by her attitude toward her past that she was not fond of it.
Assis had never seen his father, not once. Now, Ganondorf was supposed to be dead. The kind of person he was, there was a good chance that the people here would not even have bothered to make a grave for him. As for his occupation, it was not exactly something you just go around telling anybody. He killed people. He didn't want to, but he knew no other way to live. He was trained from youth in the art of killing, if one could call that art. If he could, he would just as soon live his life any other way.
In any case, Assis would much rather hear about Diness and her life as a dancer than to sit and listen to his own. He could escape from his own misery, if only for a moment, just by hearing what someone else has to say. A bit cruel to think it, but he was almost using her to drown his ancient past away. Still, every time he would sit and listen to someone else, every time he would try to forget, it would only more deeply ingrain his own memories into his head. The harder he tried, the hard it had become.
To this day, he still hasn't shared his story with a single person. Although, being the son of Ganondorf, the top Gerudo Assassin, and the sole murderer of over a hundred members of the royal army was not exactly fit for a camp fire. He still considered what he had done to be murder, even though he would have died if he hadn't fought them. After all, at what point did the act of killing escape the reality of murder?
As they sat there in the grass, watching the sky pass slowly above them, a tiny pair of eyes glimmered from atop a low hill in the distance. Assis caught the glimmer, turning his head to look at it. The dark outline that rose above it was small, like a cat or a badger. Assis just watched it, watching them on the grass. After a couple minutes, it finally turned away, scampering off over the hill.
Assis just smiled, making up a story for how it had gotten there. Some small badger lurking through the hills in the field, searching for its next meal. One night, it stumbled across two giants that were making low moaning and clicking noises at each other, as if some kind of language. But, the two giants did not smell like food. They were not eating, so there would be nothing left behind. With that, it turned away to search for the next giant or two, hopefully one that would leave something behind.
Assis turned back to Diness, calm and stoic as ever. He had enjoyed hearing about her, just because, she was easy on the ears. Her voice was like music to his ears. A soothing melody, one that could melt away all of his troubles and fears. At the end of it, he had forgotten about his own life, if for just a moment. He smiled softly, without even having to try.
"So.... do you enjoy your likfe as an entertainer?"
As he sized her up on the grass next to him, his eyes glistened under the light of the moon, tearing her apart from head to toe. With each second that passed, he wanted her more and more. His brain was screaming to her, but would she hear its calling? slowly, his eyes returned to hers. they were bright, and beautiful, like a dream come true. Everything he could ever want was right here next to him. Still, he would not reach out and touch her, for fear that she would reject him. After all, how much did she really trust him?
Well, she had followed him out here into the middle of nowhere, flown across the field on his back, and sat with him sharing her past like an open book. Still, would it be tasteless to come on to this girl now? Here, in the middle of thefield under the night sky, long before they had ever reached their destination in Kakariko Village? Assis thought it would.

"You mean, do I enjoy stepping out into the streets, seeing crowds of people surrounding me, hearing the cheering of people and the smiles on their faces... every minute... but I never got it. If I did get payed for entertainment... I'd be payed very little and I only danced for food on my table... it wasn't really something I wanted to do, even though I enjoyed doing it. People in castle town hated me, though I entertained them, I guess that's why they let me stay... but still, I can see in their faces they despised me..." Diness explained looking down at her arms. They were dark and almost hid in the black grass that barely reflected the moon's rays. She looked back at Assis, that studying look was on his face one more, but she's gotten use to it, the looked like it was calling out to her, something in his eyes was just making her trust him more, she sat up, looking into his eyes. ".. Assis... Thank you, I think you're the only person who has been kind to me besides my own father and Telma, they were the only people who saw me for me... after I lost my dad, I thought everyone looked at me as just, a Gerudo girl, or another dancer...not you.... you're... different... so, thanks... for being..." what now? Her heart was pounding, should she call him her friend? Someone she could depend on? Talk to? Trust, no... she thought different about him. Ever since he saved her from Duo, she knew she felt different towards him. Like she- no... she couldn't... she wouldn't... fall in love... could she? She glanced back up at Assis. "... there for me... I-" but she froze, what was she thinking?! They just met, he probably didn't think that way of her.

Suddenly, without any warning at all, Assis reached out and took her by the hand. He lowered his head, his hair casting a dark shadow over his eyes. His hand shook just slightly as he tried not to squeeze hers too hard. If she could see his eyes, they would be holding back the tears he had been holding in for so long. So many years he had gone without crying. When whis woman finally confessed her heritage to him, he was utterly mesmerized by her every breath, moreso than he had been before. Finally, he was ready to give himself completely to her. Even though they had just met, he felt as if they had known each other for an eternity. Perhaps that was the Gerudo blood in his veins talking to him, but.... perhaps.... it was something more?
"Please...."
Assis' voice cracked as he finally let loose, letting go of everything.
"....Just stop."
Tears began to fall down his cheeks as he hid his eyes behind the dark shadow cast by his bangs. He was taken by her. He believed every word of what she had said, and he absolutely felt her pain as his own. Take away the similarities between them - being trampled upon in their home lands, working only to keep food in their stomachs and thugs off their backs, and the heritage they shared - and he still would have cried for her.
Silently, Assis was scolding himself in his thoughts. This was completely unprofessional. He had fallen for a girl he had just met that night, not knowing her for more than a few hours yet. Maybe it really was their blood, the Gerudo instinct to grab the nearest member of the opposite sex and run with them, as long as they shared a common ancestor. He didn't mind. He just wanted her to know that he understood. He wanted her to know that he was there, even though it was obvious, as he was sitting right next to her. He was there, but he wanted to tell her still. He wanted to tell her his heart was open to her. After all, she was the only human being who had even tried to trust him, that he could remember. His childhood was a bit, fuzzy.... and everything after that was dark and undesireable.
Assis quickly stood up, turning toward the east again, toward their destination. He wiped his eyes clear with the back of his forearm, flinging the tears out onto the grass to his side. As was common for him, he forced himself to return to the stoic, centered warrior he had appeared as. He was here to do something, and he would not be distracted. He was El Assis, of the people Gerudo. He had his objectives. After the cemetery, the girl could do anything she wanted to him, and he would not stop her.
"I'm sorry.... Diness. We have to keep moving."
Assis grabbed the handle of the red scimitar, sliding it out and holding it out to the side as he let the energy flow through the body of the sword, once again enveloping it in briliant, blue energy. The sword hummed as Assis gripped the handle, focusing the energy toward the point. He waited for Diness to come and take his shoulders once again so that they could continue. Just as long as she didn't argue with him, he would be able to contain himself long enough to get through the cemetery. Hopefully, the graveyard would not have his father's grave, so he could leave and be done with it. Then again.... isn't that why he had come here in the first place?

Kurogane smiled at he felt the man's power. "Ah this shall be entertaining, none the least! I haven't had a good fight since that cursed Prince!" He shoved Zant back, his red eyes glowing with lust of battle. He then leapt forward and did down slice, mangaing to cut Zant's arm. "Not so fast with all those robes I see..." He then turned and vanished into the shadow. However as soon as Zant recoved, Kurogane appeared above him and smashed the hilt of his sword right in his face, cracking is helmet off. "There... now I can see whoI am up against... What the?" He saw Zant's skin and looked atsonished. His skin was oddly colored.. and he had glowing orange eyes. "What the hell are you?!"
Jesse nodded and went through the door, wondering what lay on the other side. He felt almost helpless with other his weapons. He needed to get them back from Duo, like yesterday. He found himself in a cave that opened up into a prairie. The wind blew strongly, making the long grass dance. "This is too easy..." He said looking for anything odd in the distance.

Zant's helmet had protected him for the most part when the blow came, but still he felt a throbbing pain on his forehead. With the helmet gone Zant felt naked, but he had no time to dwell on this feeling as he saw the shock on Kurogane's face and sensed now was the time to attack. He went into shadow and faster than one could blink reappeared behind Kurogane and stabbed his dagger hard into the man's back..
Link continued his descent through the clouds, unable to see anything except what the constant flashes revealed to his, which in this case was just more of the clouds he was in. After a time as he was systematically moving his leg down to the next rung in the ladder he felt instead solid ground, "Thank the Gods!", Link exclaimed as his muscles were starting to feel strained from all of the laddering . He gladly let go of the ladder and plated both his feet firmly on the ground, yet he was still within a giant lightening cloud so his vision was greatly restricted. Link sighed as he looked about unsure of what to do, when he noticed that in one direction the lightening flashed with a greater frequency than the other. " I'm guessing that's where I need to be heading.", Link muttered to himself as he set off.
