The older dragons are all amassing at the field, forming lines and flight formations. But Paladine is further up his mountain, speaking with Luceil through the shimmering wall.

Paladine looks up with a sigh. "No respect... even... this one has been telling me of what you two were doing for the young kitsune prince back at Alysian's realm, and wishes to know if his work is done or should he return."

Paladine chuckles. "I would that you were here safe behind this shield. Alysian's realm may be out of sync with the world at large and thus untouchable, but it can still be compromised. Here at least I know you will be safe. Listen to the elders who remain behind. Hlal-son and Silveria have agreed to guide the young. I wanted someone who would not sleep the day away in charge and Hlal-son will not lead them astray. He could use your help in the library as well... for I have given him free rein to plumb it's depths and you know it's twists and turns like the back of your hand. Mayhaps between the two of you, a true draconic history may finally be composed."

And then it does, with no fanfare, disappearing completely. Luceil darts in and gives Paladine a fierce hug. "Do you really have to go..." he asks worriedly."

The Great dragon nods his head and holds him close. "It is imperative I go."

"Hey... I'm not going to die... I might get roughed up a bit by my sister's troops but unless she herself faces me head on... I'll survive. I just want to end this before she steps onto the planning field for real. You be brave now... and help Hlal-son and Silveria as best you can. And don't forget to check in on Igniska once in awhile. She's going to be very lonely."

Paladine watches at the last of his draconic troops fly through the sky and then launches himself afterward, turning once he had achieved a certain height and raising his hands begins to match movements being made below by both Hlal-son and Silveria. And between them the shield forms once again, even more dense than it had been in the first place. Tamara joins him in the sky, looking down at the blurred scene below.

"I know it hurts to be severed from your source, but you are securing their future, E'li."

The great platinum dragon nods silently then follows his people on to the Fields of Elysium.
