*Hopian nods*
Truly....I wish I had your wisdom...but I cannot help what I am...and no bolt has ever stood still long enough to be wise...

Mica laughs heartily. "But many a bolt has cut through the haze of confusion to reveal truth. Be true to your nature, Hopian. It is what you are."

*Hopian smiles, slowly dissolving into sparks...then stopos and reforms, handing Mica a small crystal of garnet...and a pearl...*
Here...these are from my daughter...and this moonstone is for Tam...*Hands him a moonstone*...if Kero runs off at the mouth again....tastes like soap, according to Kero...but much more nutritious...

Mica chuckles as he accepts the gemstones from Hopian's hand. "I will never get over the amazement of your people surviving on those things most of us consider too valuable to even think of devouring."

*Hopian looks at him*
I can't eat gemstones....Kero gets that from his mama...he's the only one of us who does...give me meat anyday...

Mica's eyes widen. "Forgive me..." he says with an embarrassed laugh. "I made an assumption... so d. miner lion's eat like everyone else then... and what about those who wear both feathers ad fur?"
It is clear he is speaking about Talesian. As he has never seen Hopian's wings.

Remember who I told you Kero's mama was...what Kero originally was?

"A dragon, correct?" asks Mica thinking back. "One of the earthen born... a gold I think... or was it a copper?"

*Hopian nods*
A gold...which is why he can eat crystals and metal...Golds consume no flesh...it was his copper father who gave him the ability to digest flesh, blood, and bone...

"Interesting. I've never really thought about the diets of the dragon born.... I think I may have found a new course of study to keep me occupied during the long winter's nights." says Mica with a twisted grin.

Or you could study electricity itself...perhaps tyou can discover something I haven't...I'd love to learn something new about this life I hold within me...

Mica shakes his head in negation. "I think I shall leave that study to the artificers. I know where my strengths lie... history and knowledge, both of the mundane and arcane bent... experimentation has never been a strong point of mine, I'm afraid. So you are traveling home then, to your own little one? Will you be making your way through the area again, anytime soon?" He reaches into his desk and puls forth a handful of amulets, star bursts on fine silver chains. "Please, accept these as a gifting from my Lord and I. It is not necessary to believe in him fully to have earned his watchful keeping." There are three amulets in all, each crafted with loving care.

What are they? As Professional interest, you understand...I'm an amulatore, as I said before...

"Merely protection amulets. We call them the "watchful eyes" of Lathander. The medallion itself is a bronze and silver mix, the chain pure silver. May they stand you in good favor." say Mica nodding his understanding.

*Hopian nods, squirelling them away...then dissolves into a shower of sparks...one of which touches Mica...and makes him feel...young...not deaging...but he is filled with energy...yet is not restless...tamed lightning...good for a bit of a high*
