I'm glad some people are enjoying fishing, I have seen quite a few people complaining about the difficulty

I'm thinking its just competitive. Who can fill their bucket first and/or who had the most valuable haul? Place bets on it perhaps?

Is it just me or is gaia being pretty damn lame lately? I think I'm gonna just stick to the guild until they fix all the errors.

I totally accept that challenge even though I fail at fishing. I counted up the value of all the fish in my inventory... only seven hundred and something.
Anyway Talon, I often think well when it comes to gameplay mechanics.

Talon But what will fishing with a buddy accomplish? It's a "non-competive play" thing. Believe me, there are whole games & industry for pacifist types defined as "non-competive". I enjoy competition, but not when I'm weak in a game.

I dont believe in a multi-player game thats non-competitive. They just dont exist.

I believe in them but... you can't make a co-op game mechanic for fishing without either being cumbersome or pointless.
CO-OP FISHING? You either fish on the same screen with no goals (which is pointless since it's like fishing alone but with another dot on your screen) or you try to reel in the same fish (cumbersome)? If someone can think up how a non-competitive multiplayer fishing would work and it actually sounds not lame I'm all ears.
Player 2 throws chum into the water to attract sharks? Chum throwing is lame.
But seriously, there's plenty of co-op multiplayer games... just not this fishing.
