No one was going to like that he made a major change this late in the process, but they weren't the author. He was entitled to an extension here and there, right? Besides, he thought it would do the story some good; It was too late to twist the story, but new surprises were to be expected. Since his inspiration always came from his perspective and life experiences, he felt now was a good time to work on a new book. No sequels or anything, a new story entirely. Brainstorming it, actually, since it was a little too soon to be drawing from this particular experience. However, reuniting with an old lover and finding out about an illegitimate child, why not write about it? Well, how would Lillian feel about that? Well... While he thought on this and printed his newly typed page, he noticed a blur zip past his open door way, standing and leaning to get a second glance. Looks like the munchkin was up and about, probably smelling breakfast from downstairs. He chuckled, rooting through his drawer for a stapler and stapling in his new page. He read over it once more and went back to editing, drumming his fingers to his music. He could finish this midway through next week and be done until he was ready to start his next book, minus approving the cover design and watching how well it was marketed. When he heard foot falls stampeding up the stairs, he turned down his music and leaned against one side of his chair. He quickly identified his daughter as she ran in and fell on the carpet, his brows furrowed as he turned his chair to accommodate her presence and hugged her back. "Good morning, sweetie. Are you okay after that fumble?" He pulled her back, pressing his hand to her forehead. "Oh no, I think you bruised your funny bone! We need the cure, asap!" He gasped, lips parted in awe and shock, just trying to see how she would react. "Luckily for us, I have the cure right here, lots of...tickling!" He stated, grasping her sides and searching for ticklish areas. 『 Estate #: 1504 Lumiere ┋ Funds: $467.75』 『 Temper┋Stress┋Happiness lvls:✎✎✎✎✎┋✎✎✎✎✎┋✎✎✎✎✎』"My words are useless if they don't deconstruct the limitations that keep the creativity in you from flourishing." -TY HavensOut Of Chamomile:

There was no need for her daddy to think she was a weakling just because she was a girl. "I'm tougher than I look!" She wanted to be as tough as her mommy. If she idolized anyone, it was her. Her mommy was always so strong; especially physically. She had seen her mommy do some amazing things and at first she just thought her mommy had superpowers, but now that was't just the case. Her mommy was something entirely different; not human.
Her gaze traveled to his hand as it moved up to her forehead. What was he doing? She didn't have a temperature, why was he checking her for one? Sela gasped. Bruised her funny bone! "Fix it daddy!" she replied quickly, almost urgently. What if her funny bone was important! She didn't want it broken for long. He needed to hurry up and fix it! His shocked expression only made her feel more worried and scared. She didn't want to be broken! Oh, he had the cure? Her head tilted slightly, puzzled by what it could be. "Ah!" she shrieked in laughter as she began flailing and wiggling in his lap as he tickled her. "Stop it daddy~!"
Lillian turned her gaze up at the sound of the joyful noise. What were they doing up there? At the soft ding, Lillian opened the waffle maker and pulled free what felt like the billionth waffle and set it on the plate with the rest. "Let's see..." she trailed off as she shuffled around the kitchen. Grabbing three plates and accompanying utensils, she put potatoes, eggs and bacon scramble and waffles onto each plate. She and Ty had bigger portions while Sela had a far smaller one. On Sela's plate, Lillian cut up the waffles for her before setting the plates on the table and beginning to clean up. "Alright you two! Breakfast is ready!" she called as she continued to wash the dishes.

He then remembered to let her breath, pulling his hands away and glancing at the door when Lillian summoned them from the kitchen. Chucking at her reaction and the cute way she laughed, he tucked Sela under one arm and carried her downstairs. "Smells good." He commented, releasing their daughter at the table and looking at the blonde. "I could handle the dishes, Lil." Pushing at his hand, her legs kicked helplessly as she watched their surroundings change as he carried her downstairs. Sniffing the air, she continued to huff and grunt softly until she was sudden set in her seat at the table. Ooooo! Waffles! She loved waffles. Leaning in towards her plate, she sniffed at the food and smiled to herself; it all smelled super yummy. "Mommy, did you put cheese on my eggs?" Sela asked as she looked over at her mommy briefly. Lillian paused in her actions, pressing a finger to the middle of her forehead and squeezing her eyes shut. She knew there was something she forgot! "Sorry baby, I forgot. You'll just have to eat them without it," she replied. Sela frowned slightly as she turned back to her plate and began eating.
Lillian's gaze turned up to the wolf that stood beside her, "Thanks, but it's okay. You've already done enough for us, I don't mind doing them." She motioned to the table with her head, "Sit down and eat, I'll just be a minute." Turning her attention back to the dishes, she continued washing them. It had always been that way between them. If one of them cooked, the other cleaned, that way the labor was split between them evenly. Even when she was just learning how to cook in his dorm and he was the one standing right there helping her, he somehow figured it in his head that she had been the cook and ended up doing the dishes for her. Where he got that crazy idea, she didn't understand.

Funny thing is, she had never owned a stuffed owl before he bought one for her the other day. Stuffing some waffles in her mouth, she stared at him as he spoke. "Mhm!" she nodded with a wide grin spread across her lips. That reminded her! What did she want to do today? "But I didn't bring my bathing suit...Plus, I only have one friend here. It won't be much of a party." She shrugged with a rather indifferent look as she dropped her gaze to her plate and continued to eat. Her feet kicked absently through the air as they dangled off the edge of the chair. Since she wasn't in school anymore, how could she really make friends in this new place? Where they lived before she had plenty of friends, even with her quiet personality.
"Here you go baby," Lillian muttered softly as she set a cup of milk down beside her plate after finishing the dishes. Taking her seat with the two of them, she looked between the two. Silently she began to eat, listening to them and thinking about what Sela had said. Maybe they could find a park so the little girl could interact with kids her own age. Lillian pursed her lips in thought. Or maybe they could see a movie; there were a few out for kids right now. And then the two of them could have lunch. Oh! Even better! They could have lunch in the park and then go see a movie. They'd have to stop at home first to change and clean up, but that sounded like a great plan. Nodding in satisfaction to herself, she went back to eating.

Did he really think she'd have that many friends? Could she even make that many friends? It was doubtful, to her anyways. At school, other than doing as she was told, she usually only read in her free time; which in preschool there wasn't much of surprisingly. Everything was scheduled; even nap-time. Looking back up at him as he got up, her expression changed to a disappointed one as she shoveled more waffles into her mouth. Did he have to go back to work just yet? They were having breakfast as a family again and she didn't want it to end so soon! She should have said something, but he was gone before she even really got the chance.
"Don't worry, I will," Lillian replied, having been rather quiet through their entire breakfast. Not that it lasted very long. She was too busy thinking of things that she and Sela could do together. Looking over to her daughter, she pursed her lips slightly to see the look of disappointment on her face. "Oh baby, don't make that face. You remember when mommy was that busy; daddy works that hard so that he can provide you with everything you could ever need," she said, trying to reassure the little girl that she shouldn't be upset that her father had to work. "But I only want daddy!" Sela replied firmly. "I don't want or need anything else." The blond was a little surprised by the small outburst, but she could certainly understand the thought behind it. They didn't have each other until earlier in the week, so she could kind of see how she would want to spend as much time as possible with him. "You get to spend time with daddy all by yourself, all the time and it's not fair!" she continued to argue.
Lillian sighed heavily through her nose. They didn't spend that much alone time together, the only reason they spent the day together yesterday was because he didn't want her to leave. She didn't really want to either, but still. "Baby, all we do when we are together is talk about you-" "No!" Lillian drew her head back slightly as her eyebrows raised. Before she could even try to continue, Sela pushed out her chair and ran from the table. Her hand came up in exasperation as she watched the tiny body run away. There she went and it caused Lillian to growl to herself in frustration, dropping her head into her hands and running her hands down her face slowly.

As he rightened himself, he turned his music back up and picked up his book draft. He could finish twenty-five more pages and call it a day, it was only recommended he make very specific changes and here he was typing whole new pages and all. Tossing the packet down with a dull snapping thump, he made sure he was on the page he'd last looked at and began reading from the next sentence. Now back in a work-oriented state of mind, he ignored the quiet murmuring downstairs and highlighted a word he wanted to replace with a synonym . He paused when he heard rapid movement for a moment, imagining Sela was running off to get ready for the day or occupy herself with something. His door was closed now so he could cut down on the distractions, but he couldn't help a curious inclination as he wondered what they would be up to today. He imagined Lil felt the same way, but with a considerable amount of worry, when she left him with Sela this week. Chucking to himself, he turned the page and eased back against his seat as he read. There was somewhere on the next page where the words didn't run as smoothly as he wanted. 『 Estate #: 1504 Lumiere ┋ Funds: $467.75』 『 Temper┋Stress┋Happiness lvls:✎✎✎✎✎┋✎✎✎✎✎┋✎✎✎✎✎』"My words are useless if they don't deconstruct the limitations that keep the creativity in you from flourishing." -TY HavensOut Of Chamomile:

xxxxxxxxxxxx Lillian's Outfit: Simple ║ Sela's Outfit: Warmer Weather ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Lillian groaned to herself as she got up from her seat and trudged her way after her daughter. She half expected something similar, wanting to spend time with her father and all. But throwing a fit was not what she had expected. Even her wanting to spend nights at a time here at his house with him, but to just flat out refuse to do anything without him seemed like a bit much to her. Pushing open the door to the bedroom, Lillian saw her daughter sitting on the bed in a pout, arms crossed and glaring at the wall. Well, she didn't seem happy at all. Walking in, Lillian sat on the bed with her, looking at the wall she was staring at, "How about this, you and I go to the museum today and when you see your daddy again, you can have him take you and tell him all about the exhibits. Show him just how smart you are," she suggested as she glanced at Sela from the corner of her eye.
At the mention of going to a museum, Sela shifted her gaze to her mother, slightly. She did like history. She loved learning about it and all the strange facts that helped shape the world today. And maybe there would be some good history books in the gift shop there. Plus, her suggestion did sound fun. Sometimes it sucked to be so easily swayed. Looking at her fully, Lillian turning to her with an expectant smile, Sela pouted a little more before sighing heavily, "Alright fine!" "Great! Now get dressed," Lillian cooed happily as she got up and left the room to clean up their dishes. As her mother left, Sela pulled herself from the bed and began getting dressed.

xxxxxxxxxxxx Lillian's Outfit: Special Day ║ Sela's Outfit: Warmer Weather ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ With a soft sigh, Lillian turned off the water and sipped at her coffee. She hated it when her daughter was mad at her. Even though she knew it wouldn't last too long once they got to the museum, it was still depressing. Setting her cup down, she leaned against the counter with her head hung low. She had no idea what she was doing. A situation like this, she had never been apart of; never dealt with. Sure, her own father was absent, but he wasn't the fathering type; not even close. She'd probably have better luck with a potato than her own father. But at the same time it was very different. She was the one raising Sela, not nannies and teachers. Her alone.
Sela came down a few minutes later, still looking as sulky as ever. "Okay mommy, I'm ready," she said as she shuffled into the kitchen. She didn't want to leave just yet. She hadn't seen her daddy in nearly two days. Was it so wrong of her to want to spend time with him? She hadn't seen him for five years, all her life practically! It felt like she would never get to see him again if she left constantly. She knew they didn't live together and that just made her sadder and sadder. She just wanted to see him everyday. She wanted to wake up with him and have breakfast with him. She wanted him to be there when she got home from school or somewhere else. She wanted him to come to holidays and be there when she went to bed at night. Was that so much to ask for?
Lillian's gaze drifted to her with a small smile. "Alright baby, let me get ready and then we can go," she replied as she walked over to her, placing a hand on her head and lightly ruffling her hair. Walking up the stairs, she entered the spare room they had used and grabbed her bag. Dropping it onto the bed, she unzipped it and pulling her clothes out. Laying them on the bed, she pulled her night s**t off and threw it into her bag and began putting on her clothes. When she was finished, she went to the bathroom to finish getting ready. Brushing her teeth and washing her face, she put her hair up in a ponytail and left the room. Walking down the hall, she bit softly into her bottom lip before knocking on his office door and slowly opening it. "We're getting ready to leave. You should say bye to her," she said as she leaned against the door.

The room felt several degrees lower and he suspected the cold was seeping past the window panes as well. Winter couldn't come fast enough, particularly December. He still had to get through October, and he wondered if he'd be celebrating Halloween for the first time if Sela wanted to do the trick or treat thing. Thanksgiving too, he wasn't entirely sure how they would be celebrating any holiday. And there was the thing that bothered him all over again. He didn't get it. How were they supposed to do anything? He felt like, with Sela, they were supposed to act more like a divorced couple than...anything else, whatever they were right now. He sighed and flipped another page as a text message came in, perhaps from one of his editors. When he confirmed it as true, he told them he was hit by a car and hadn't gotten a spot of work done all week. Naturally they would be angry as he went five minutes without texting them back before he admitted it was a lie. After pushing the phone aside, he looked up at Lillian at the door and gave a nod after several seconds. "Goodbye means forever, you know." He informed, getting out of his seat to follow her downstairs. 『 Estate #: 1504 Lumiere ┋ Funds: $467.75』 『 Temper┋Stress┋Happiness lvls:✎✎✎✎✎┋✎✎✎✎✎┋✎✎✎✎✎』"My words are useless if they don't deconstruct the limitations that keep the creativity in you from flourishing." -TY HavensOut Of Chamomile:

xxxxxxxxxxxx Lillian's Outfit: Special Day ║ Sela's Outfit: Warmer Weather ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ❤ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Lillian rolled her eyes. "Well ya gotta tell her something," she replied as she looked away from him. Even though she knew it wouldn't last long, having her daughter mad at her, and seeing her so unhappy, broke her heart. Turning from the door, she walked back down the hall to grab their things before walking down the stairs. "Baby! Come say..." she paused as she looked over to him. "Bye to your father." Without stopping, or much of anything else, she walked over to the door to wait for Sela; leaning against the wood. She was lost in her own thoughts at the moment. It was an unusual habit of hers to become rather cold and distant when she was deep in thought. She didn't mean to do it, but the outside world was less interesting while she thought. Plus there was just too much on her mind right now with this rather surprising twist in her life.
Sela slowly shuffled over to her daddy. Her head was hung low, toes pointed inward and her hands behind her back. She looked smaller than she already was. "...I don't want to say goodbye," she mumbled softly as her ankle twirled. "When will I see you again daddy?" Yes, she was excited to go to the museum, but she wanted to experience it with her daddy; it would be even better with both her parents. She was having a hard time understanding what was going on. They had seen so much of him the last few days that she didn't understand why she couldn't see him anymore. They already woke up and had breakfast twice as a family, why couldn't they do it everyday?

He waited for some form of a hint when she paused, but had none before he found himself standing at the bottom of the stairs. She was being distant suddenly, but before he could try picking at her mind he saw the way his daughter approached him. Frowning lightly, he got down on her level, sitting on the bottom step and leaning down with his hands on his knees to peek at her face. "Daddy never says goodbye." He replied simply, looking at her fallen expression. "Daddy only says 'see you later' and later can be whenever you want. If mommy can't drop you off, then I'll come for you myself." He reassured her gently, reaching to lift her chin. He knew how she felt, he wanted to be with them both, but this was what Lillian thought was best right now. However, seeing their child's face made him cast a look at the blonde. They should talk this over again, he hadn't been sure about it the first time and now he felt that much worse. Sela was their first priority, if the relationship he and Lil had interfered with that, then they needed to correct it. He just...the way things were now didn't feel right. Nothing really was right five days after their reunion, but he felt even this was going in the wrong direction right now. Lillian would understand, wouldn't she? 『 Estate #: 1504 Lumiere ┋ Funds: $467.75』 『 Temper┋Stress┋Happiness lvls:✎✎✎✎✎┋✎✎✎✎✎┋✎✎✎✎✎』"My words are useless if they don't deconstruct the limitations that keep the creativity in you from flourishing." -TY HavensOut Of Chamomile:
