Gage turned to Stella and swept her up in his arms, hugging her as tightly as possible without hurting her. He kept her there for several long moments, his nose buried against her neck "No, I'm not mad at you, I'm just generally upset..." he jumped as rain suddenly pelted his back where he was partially bent over Stella and looked down at her "Uh, Stell, you're wearing a shirt that's about to be very see-through... Would you like my t-shirt? I've got a tank top on..."

"But why are you upset my love?" She looked up at him and smiled wildly. Laughing as rain began to fall on top of Stella's head. She looked down at her shirt and then up at Gage, with a sheepish smile. "Yes please." She waited for him to remove the shirt before pulling it over her head, saving herself from the possible embarrassment of a see through shirt. "Once again. Why are you upset?"

Gage sighed and kept them moving toward the car as he shook his head "I don't know how to explain it honey, really I don't..." he kissed her cheek and smiled "But I promise, it'll pass soon enough."

Stella looked at Gage but didn't say a word instead she took his hand and started to walk towards his car. At the moment she just wanted to change into some comfy clothes and head back to the hotel and relax before they had to leave and continue on their journey. She wasn't sure how to feel, and could only hope that what they just talked about didnt ruin things for them.

Gage drove them back to the hotel and when they were in the room, he wrapped his arms around her tightly, smiling at her. "I'm sorry for being grouchy."

"Dont apologize.. I was the one that made you show me.." She kissed his neck and pulled him back onto the bed. She snuggled up against him, kissing his jaw then lips softly. Running her fingers through his hair she smiled and spoke softly. "I love you.. Don't ever forget that.."

Stella smiled and nodded, getting off the bed and pulling him up with her. She walked into the bathroom and waited for Gage to join her. She turned on the shower and slowly stripped, leaving her clothes in a neat little pile before stepping in the shower.

Night fell, and Gage woke up from their post "shower" nap... He sighed and stretched out in bed, curling one arm around Stella and trailing his fingers along her hip. "Time to wake up love, we've got to head out."

Stella yawned and looked at Gage and kissed him softly. "If we must.." She crawled out of bed and found some traveling clothes to put on before making sure all off her stuff was packed away nicely so they could easily pack the bags into the car and be off.

Gage led her out to the car after he pulled on a pair of shorts and a wife beater, slipping his feet into skate shoes. He'd grabbed their things, including the cooler, and headed towards the car, still yawning. "Did ya have to wear me out so much Stella?" he teased

Stella giggled and got in the car and waited for Gage to get in the car before responding. She leaned over and licked his cheek softly and leaned back in her chair. "Because I can't help myself when I'm with you." She winked playfully and leaned back in her chair, grabbing Junior from the back. Gage hadn't told her where they were going and she figured it was going to be quite a long drive.

Gage chuckled and put the car into gear, pulling away from the hotel... He was slightly worn out, and pulled into a mcdonalds so they could grab breakfast before they'd leave for the day.

Stella looked at Gage and noticed how terribly tired he looked. "I'll drive if your okay with that. I don't mind.." She frowned and reached out, touching his cheek softly. While she waited for an answer she thought of what she might want to eat. Her mind once again wandered the the ring and the thought that neither of them were ready for the commitment. They were both young and had a lot of time to make their decisions, even if it meant not being with each other.

Gage ordered once they were both ready, and shook his head at Stella's words "No love, I'm fine..." he leaned over, kissing her cheek, and smiled, seeming normal once more as he paid for their food and grabbed it.
They'd been on the road for hours, and were finally in Colorado Springs when something rather un-expected happened. They were driving down the highway when a semi decided that he wanted their lane, forcing Gage into the wall.... The car he drove played ping pong between the wall and the truck beside them....
What seemed like forever and a day later, the sounds of sirens filled the air.... Gage wasn't moving in his seat, a long gash across his forehead bleeding freely as the ambulances arrived, their lights flashing against the night sky and the blood streaked down him as he laid in the seat against the door where it was crushed in.
