Duo winced as he felt the pain increase on his shoulder. However, there was no time to heal himself. But the way things looked, smashing the mirriors was a good idea. He dragged himself to the top of the stairs, cursing as the shadow leaked out along with some of his human blood. Finally they made it to the top of the stairs. There was a big set of double doors at the end hall. There were intracately designed and looked to lead to somewhere important. However, something wasn't right. Where were the guards? It was simply too easy. Duo tested it by putting one foot foward on the flagstones. Nothing happened. He took one more step only to find it safe again. He looked at Zant suprised. "I thought there would be some kind of trap... ya know? Keep your guard up. But she is in there. I know it. But.. there is someone else with her... and he is very powerful..."
Kurogane moved to the door, while he kept one eye on Cielene. He then peered out through the peek hole to see Duo and Zant approaching the room. "Dammit all.. how the hell did they get this far?! The guards are one thing.. But the mirror master!?" He straightened his clothes and grabbed his sword from the wall where he left it.
Cielene blinked slowly, trying to recollect what happened. She saw Kurogane and immediately closed her eyes again. She prayed that nothing had passed between them. She peeked out one eye to see his expression. He seemed.. mad and a tad bit worried. She wondered why.
Jesse followed behind Link quietly. he did not enjoy the darkness. he felt vulnerable. He had fought on the dark side of Moon enough to know that there is more than meets the eye in the darkness. He continually checked over his shoulder, half expecting a dark creature to attack him.

She got out of her bed and sighed. "Skull Kid, I need you to keep some puppets on the side just in case. If we need Jesse, we'll have to take him in." she told him.
"Ok... but I need to be quiet." he answered as softly as he could. But, he stepped on a twig, alerting animals and maybe, humans too.

Kuri blinked seeing Jesse continue to glance over his shoulder. She looked back at Link, he should have a lantern. She got up and flew over to Jesse giving him light when she landed on his shoulder. "Scared of the dark?" She asked, with a tilt of her head. It was strange to see someone so uneasy in darkness, her brown hair slid over of her milky white skin, folding her wings on her back.

Assis smiled as he took her hand, beginning to channel the energy through his body into the sword. He called out the power within the crystal, and the body of the red scimitar was encased in brilliant blue light, just like it had been back in the town. Only this time, the light was brighter. It had gone past blue and stopped on white. The sound it was emitting was more intense than before, having more variations in pitch, and also louder than before.
Without warning, Assis pulled Diness up onto his back, securing her legs and arms around him before he trudged out of the cave at full-speed.
”Hold on, fire-woman!”
With that, he hopped up into the air, swinging the sword down under his feet. He planted both feet on the face of the sword before rocketing forward into the air. The noise that came with the trail of light energy flowing behind them was like a banshee, screeching through the night. It was almost painful, the noise. Then again, the sword was carrying two people. It would take all of its strength just to stay up.
Gripping Din’s legs around his waist, he fired off the sword’s full-power. Or at least, as much of it as he could without losing control. He was going slower than normal with her on his back, but he didn’t mind. Her company was becoming more and more welcoming by the minute. He even took comfort in her touch, relaxing as he lowered his back into a crouched position.
At this time, they were going full-speed, watching the woods speed by beneath them in a dark blur. The noise that was coming out of the back of the sword had quieted to a low whistle, slightly muffled by the wind. The air was cooler up here, just slightly thinner than that of ground-level. They were above fifty feet into the air, riding the red scimitar like a surf board.
After they reached sixty feet up, they leveled out, streaming across the sky at speeds of up to thirty miles per hour. At this rate, which was faster than what Assis had expected, they would probably reach the town by the time the Moon reached the top of the sky. As the wind rushed past, he raised his head up next to Din’s, just in front of her head and to the right.
”How is it back there? Are you holding on ok?”
He had to raise his voice for her to hear him, since the wind was so noisy up here. For this reason, he would probably stay quiet for the duration of their flight. That is, so long as everyone keeps their hands and feet inside the vehicle at all times.

Zant scanned the hall looking for anything that would indicate a trap door or some sort of trap, but he saw nothing of the sort. "You're right this seems too simple..", Zant trailed off, he figured that the sooner they started down the hall the sooner they could discover the trick to it, if there was one, and save Cielene. He motioned for Duo to followed him as he took a few steps forward. Suddenly the floor began to shake slightly and there was a rumbling noise. Zant jumped around to see their only exit being sealed off. "D***! and I had hoped that this would be easy.", he cursed, but he did not have much time to dwell on his crushed hopes as he heard the doors on the other end of the hall swing violently open and slam into the wall. Zant quickly turned about and found himself face-to-face with a very sinister looking man.
Link was glad that Kuri had taken up a spot on his head. In his haste to leave Ilia he had forgotten to grab his old lantern, and the dark, Link felt, was always better left alone unless of course he had to travel through it then it should be very well lit. It seemed that they travel for a long while down the tunnel when they come upon the end of it. Link looked about and from what he could make out the room that the tunnel had led them was conspicuously round, as if someone had carved it out of the Earth. In the middle of the floor was what looked like a sealed off passageway with some strange symbols carved into it." Wonder what this is all abo.." Link did not get to finish because as he spoke a crushing blow was landed upon his back causing him to fall to his knees.

Jesse shook his head. "I do not fear the dark... I fear... what lies with in it." However he suddenly heard a yell from Link. He leapt forward. "What is it!?"
Kurogane glared at Zant "I'm suprised you made it this far... And.. My, my. If it isn't Duo! I see you've come crawling back!" The man looked aat Zant. there was an immense power coming from him. A power... he recognized. And who might you be?"
Cielene opened her eyes immediately. If Duo was there... then that meant... Zant! With out another thought, she hopped out of the bed and dragged a sheet around herself. She looked out from behind Kurogane. She gasped seeing Duo's condition. "Zant... You're here!" She managed relieved.
Kurogane growled at Zant. "So... you are Zant... I thank you for keeping her safe while I conquered the Moon Kingdom... But that was all I needed you for..." He pulled Cielene close to him and kissed her cheek roughly. "Indeed... bad timing... We were in the middle of something... before you dropped in..." Kurogane grasped the girl's waist and crushed her against him.

He sighed as he went to a far enough distance so they couldn't see him He turned on his lantern and heard Link. What could that be?! he asked himself as he got close enough to see them, but that meant they could see the light he forgot.

Kuri blinked when she flew quickly over to Link. "Link! Are you alright?" She asked, lighting up the room even more with her glow, her triforce on her forehead started to glow and suddenly balls of light emerged from her and scattered everywhere illuminating the circular room. She looked around, trying to find the source that had harmed Link.
Diness blinked eyes when he grabbed her and and pulled her onto his back. Almost fearing for her life, but felt a exhilaration run through her when he lifted off the ground with his Scimitar. After a while, Din managed to get a look around, the sky was star and it seemed the wind seemed to whistle around them, almost making Din shiver, but she held it in and kept her arms clamped tightly around his chest. "T-t-this is ama-amazing." She gasped.
She built up her courage and glanced down at the ground, seeing everything they were flying over was just a blur, but she was looking on how high up they were, but she quickly looked up, seeing lights in the distance, that had to be Kakariko Village, but it was still a far ways away.

As they soared through the air, a warm gust blew in from the mountains. The air suddenly became toasty, and the chill in the air had gone for the time. Even though Assis was wearing no shirt, or cloak, he didn't mind either way. This actually made him want to go faster. Of course, if he tried to go any faster than this, he would quickly lose control, not to mention he would wear himself out. With the breeze coming in from the mountains, that was enough to wear down his concentration. He had to constantly regulate the balance between the air in front of him and the breeze flanking him. Although he was more than capable of holding steady like this for the full ride, he knew that he would feel sore the moment they landed. As soon as he went to relax, it would hit him.
It had only been an hour since they'd began, and they were already passing over the southern half of Eldin field. They were making much better progress than what had been expected. Assis looked at the lights in the far distance. he figured it might take another half-hour in the air. With the warm breeze coming in from the mountain due northeast of here, this would be a comfortable spot to rest in, if only for a short while. At least, it would be for Diness. She seemed to like the warmth. After all, her spirit was fire-oriented. Assis turned his head to look back at Din, the wind pushing his hair over the right side of his face. He was hiding the look of concern behind his composure. He had felt her body tensing all over, shivering just slightly every so often. Despite this, he looked back at her alert and coherent as ever.
"Excuse me.... Diness? Would you like to rest here?"

" You seem to have this all wrong, whoever you are. Cielene is mine! I have the crystal to prove it!", Zant pulled the moon crystal, which by now had a very dull appearance, from his pocket and waved it the man's face, trying to create some sort of barrier between Cielene and the man. "Now you let her go and we will leave without humiliating you because I will not hesitate to kick your a** should the need arise to do so.", Zant said all of this as calmly as he could manage, while he gave the man a death glare trying to gauge what his response would be. It was clear to Zant that there would be a fight and it would not end well for one of them.
The blow had caused Link to black out for a moment. He blinked his eyes trying to concentrate through the searing pain in his head. " What was that?", Link rasped as he glanced around the illuminated room. He saw only Kuri and Jesse along with weird little balls of light scattered around the ground, he assumed that their source was Kuri. " Did you guys see anything?", he was worried that whatever had hit him would attack again, unless one of them had hit him which he refused to believe. He drew his sword again scanned the room, there was no doubt about it the room was empty. "I already don't like this place..", he muttered to himself.

"Well, I wouldn't expect the place any less to not have monsters or beings guarding it. We'll just have to be on our toes." Kuri said, looking down at Link with a worried face. She moved a few of the illuminated balls over to the door and lit up the symbols on it. She flew over and floated in front of it trying to figure it out, a small tilt in her head.
Dinesss looked back down at Assis, hearing him wanting to go down and rest. Thinking that her weight plus his was probably slowing down their process to get to Kakariko. "Oh, alright." She said, looking back at the ground.

Hearing her confirmation, Assis channeled some of the energy in the sword to the side facing the ground as he let off of what was coming from the back. As he looked down himself, he could see the grass below become more defined as they passed more slowly by it. As gradually as he could possibly manage, Assis came to a stop in the air just above the ground. He lowered them into the grass, crouching as low as he could for Diness. After she was safely on the grass beside him, he took the sword by the handle, hopping onto the grass himself.
The blue glow disappeared from the body of the sword, and Assis slid it safely into its place on the side of his belt. After a long moment of silence, he turned to Diness, smiling softly as he took in the likelihood that she had Gerudo in her family tree. It was really astonishing, her resemblance to his sisters and cousins, in fact all of his childhood friends. All the women he had known since he set out on his own were nearly identical, all of them looking exactly the same. He never minded this, as they were all equally beautiful. Still, this woman was just.... different.
Diness, with her unusual name, had features about herself that made Assis nearly begin to stare at her under the light of the Moon overhead. She held something that made her even more beautiful than any woman he had ever seen in his life. Something in her eyes, her bone structure, her short stature. He couldn't place his finger on it, but he was sure that it was worth finding out. For a long moment, he just smiled at her, wanting to compliment her on the fact that she didn't freak out when he had grabbed her. She just, went for it. He had to respect that.
"Di-.... err, hmm. Well...."
Just before he had said her name, he stopped himself. A name, in fact, was not something to be tossed around so lightly. Not where he was from, anyway. Take his name and drop it in a crowd of Gerudo soldiers, and simply by the meaning it held, you had better have a damn good reason for using it. Assis could kill a man himself just for that much, and not one soldier would have a second thought about it. Diness was just so unique, so fitting for her that he did not wish to take away from its meaning by over-using it. Then again, many times Hylians would choose names for their children even before they were born, names with no defined meaning, and vague origins.
If Diness had a meaning, it would have had to been something fantastic, something easy on the ears and smooth from the tongue. Without knowing the meaning behind her name, he surely could not use it, for he would not know to whom he was speaking. He simply smiled at her, relaxing his posture as he conjured the lightest casual voice he could manage despite breathing as heavily as he was. If he didn't know how to control his own breathing, he would have lost his breath after the first mile. Fatigued as he was, he still kept his stance mostly straight, although slumped as it was. After a deep, relieved sigh, he finally spoke again.
"Did you enjoy yourself?"

"Thank you very much Assis, that was quite the experience. How did you learn to do that?!" Diness gasped in amazement almost toppling over into the grass. She regained her balance fairly easily and stood up straight. She was use to dizziness due to her dances and her tricks in Castle Town. She glanced back at Assis, tilting her head when he stared at her. She was used to staring, most people would stare at her because of her skin, it was darker than most Hylians, for she was of Hylian blood. Others (mainly men) would stare at her beauty, which drove them to stalk her in the streets. A lot of them were the guards who protected the town, who were suppose to protect the town. Now, they were running it, with Zant and his pet Duo. However, she was sure Assis was not of these categories, she didn't meet him until the city was attacked. And now, she was traveling with him towards Kakariko, of course, she's heard about the abandoned village that lied to the east from Telma's stories. The bartender was always all over the map, and when she was, Diness would take over the bar, telling stories to customers about her adventures. Diness would always dreamed about getting out of the city when her father left for war. She wanted to travel around, see new countries. Though, the girl could barely defend herself, and she didn't have enough money afford a carriage. She would just stay within the walls of Castle Town. "Do you wish to sit down Assis, you look exhausted." Diness finally spoke, looking over into his eyes, slowly walking over to him, she pushed him to sit on the ground.

Duo grimanced. "Forgive me..." He managed before he vanished into the shadows. He made his way back to his room and immediately began using bandages to stop his shadow substance frok leaking out of hise body.
Kurogane suddenly exploded seeing the crystal in the man's grasp. "How.. did you.. get that..." He growled dangerously. His gaze turned to Cielene threateningly. "He stole it from you... That would explai why you refused to give it to me. No worries... this mn shall be uickly disposed of!" He turned back to Zant. "Hand over the crystal... and maybe I will kill you quickly."
Jesse followed silently. "Perhaps... it was a shadow creaure. We have those all around the dark side of the moon. However they disappear in the light...."

Assis was about to respond, denying his fatigue although it had been written all over his face. Before he had even had a chance, however, he had been nearly forced to the ground by this woman. She had exherted herself into him, basically giving him no choice but to sit. So, he landed quite roughly on his butt, letting out an "Umph!" as he looked up at Diness, bewildered. By this one act, she had shown a side to herself that was far beyond anything he would ever dream to come from the common Hylian.
Diness had flashed him, for just an instant, her passionate nature. This is the kind of behavior he might have expected from a Gerudo woman. It was almost playful, yet in a way, she had made him to rest the moment she had sensed his weariness. This woman, Diness, had to have been the daughter of a strong Gerudo clan, somehow having gotten mixed in with the people of Hyrule.
Immediately, as he stared up at her in sheer admiration, he had begun to ask himself why such a woman would choose to live with the common filth of Hyrule. He had almost wanted to ask her, but it seemed rude. Although he did not know her reasons, he should not pry into the decisions she makes for herself. She is a strong woman, indeed, and the more time that passes between them, the more he becomes helplessly infatuated with her.
Sucking in his curiosities, he sighed in relief as he tried to relax under the thick, moist air of the field. He was just not comfortable here. It was warm for night, which threw his body off significantly. Not just that, but he was having a hard time catching his breath in this atmosphere. He was begining to get light-headed as he sat there, the sudden change in posture affecting his blood pressure and causing him to see spots.
He fought it as much as he could, wanting to look into Diness' eyes once again. However, he could not even bring himself to reach up and tug her hand to get her to sit next to him. If he tried, his whole arm would tremble from the rise in blood pressure. His nerves were getting over-loaded and he could scarcely breathe as he waited for Diness to join him in the grass.
