[I stopped, staring at the thing in front of me. It didn't resemble my mate at all. Tentitavly, I circled around it, my ears flat. Who was this? Was it Blazeheart?

Obviously, it is.
No, it's not, you idiot!
That's my dead mate! He was just tortured by StarClan or something!
You are the stupidest she-cat I have ever met!

I growled loudly, and my green eyes cleared once again. I stood up straight, and stared it right in it's demonic red eyes]
"You're lying. Tell me, what's going on? If you hate StarClan as much as I do... Maybe we could work something out. I could let myself be your eyes, as long as you don't hurt me, and in return, I want a favor.."
[In the end, my eyes were clouded once more, thoughts humbling together, unable to make one end meet the other. He did kinda look like.. No. Stop it. Shut up]
"I want to see my mate again! Just once more. Alive and well!" I begged.
[Surely if this thing was against StarClan, it had to have some power, right?]

My hatred for the stars is far more vast and deep than you currently understand." [forsaken let out a chuckle at her wish.] alive and well, careful what you wish for my dear~ [the demon bowed it's towering head in respect for the she cat.] "kekekekke my dear, in thanks for your offer i promise you, the next time you see me you will not only recognize me but i will be the mate you so dearly love. you will never be left alone to suffer as you have suffered again." [with that. the demon looked down, deep into her eyes. she could feel herself growing cold on the inside and for a split second could see what it saw. she could see herself, standing infront of it, she could see her very own soul, glowing and shining in her own eyes. then all in a split second, she felt the connection snap! Forsaken then closed it's eyes. when it opened them they were the same shade and color of her own, slowly they faded back to the demon's original glowing red eyes.] "kekkekke our deal has been set." Forsaken focused, trying to summon the late Blazeheart.] Do you hear me? your precious one is awaiting your arrival. kekekke _____________________________________ ...can cure me of this curse.

Set me free. Let me die.
[I felt the air in my lungs as the demon took over. I could see myself clearly, it was like I was in two places at once. I couldn't wrap my head around it. Once safely back in my own body, I stared defiantly up at Forsaken, my tail twitching back and forth, green eyes narrowed]
"You have no idea what you're getting yourself into. I'm not your regular she-cat, but who knows? Maybe we could both benefit from this" I meowed, my mew taking on a bored tone.
[Standing up, I ruffled out my calico fur. It hadn't been groomed in a while. From what I had saw from Forsaken's view, I was in need of a good grooming. All fear of the demon flooded from me. I didn't fear death. As long as I wasn't going to StarClan, I was fine with it. I twisted around to clean the base of my tail, twitching my ears.
Once finished, I turned my head to look at the spirit]
"You know, you havn't told me your name. Or anything about you"

_____________________________________[once Forsaken had seen Birdsong's lack of fear the demon felt free to be itself. it bared its long dagger fangs in a sadistic smile, its eyes wide with interest. Now that it did not have to worry about her fleeing from it the demon chuckled, she was right were it wanted her!] "oh? you see some benefit in this for you besides what i have promised you? are you maybe suggesting a deal with me? kekekekeek go ahead, i am dieing to hear~" [it narrowed its eyes as it slithered around her like a hungry shark that had cornered its pray.] "and do not take me for a fool. i knew the moment i felt your presence that you were no ordinary she cat. in fact, most cats in general dont think the way you do. i wouldnt be here if i didnt see something special in you. i am not the type of cat to waist my time." [the demon looked down on her, it's eyes narrowing.] it would seem she has seen through my trick... she is not as lost as i originally though. [Forsaken gave her a polite dip of it's head along with a charming smile.] "i am the forsaken one, but my associates call me Forsaken. that is all if not more than you need to know..." _____________________________________ ...can cure me of this curse.

[I stared up at him, her, it, my whiskers twitching]
"Well, we're obviously both going to benefit from this. You get to spy on my Clanmates, and I get to see my mate again. But that could also not be good for the both of us. I can tell you're a solitary cat, Forsaken, and there are a lot of cats in my Clan. And as for me, well seeing him will probably end up hurting me more than helping me" I let out a sigh, "But. Whatever, I can live with it"
[I blinked slowly as Forsaken made's it's way toward me, fangs glinting in the moonlight. I had noticed he had a habit of calling me 'dear'. Or was that Blazeheart speaking? Whatever it was, two could play at that game]
"Don't worry, darling, I would never mistake you for a fool. Only an complete idiot would look at me and think 'Hmm. She seems like the kind of cat to run through fields of flowers, while laughing joyfully'. But, obviously, you're not a complete idiot. Forsaken, huh? I like it"

Most other cats i kekekeek come across dont know what hit them. careful though, dont let your quick wit lull you into a fall sense of security. there is still much about my plans you do not know. kekekeke but non the less i will fulfill my end of the deal. i may be a demon but i take a deal very seriously." [with that Forsaken closed it's eyes as it were falling asleep. after a long silence the demon once again opened it's eyes. but they were different this time. a suprized and worried look on it's face!] "what? were am i? what happ- Birdsong!? is.... is that you, is it really you? what are you doing here? were am i?" [Blazehart reached out, his paw shaking to feel her soft pelt once more. before he could reach her he noticed something was different, he looked down at his paw. it was pitch black with long, cold claws. no light reflected off of it, as if it were afraid to touch the hell cat. Blazeheart screamed in surprise!] "Birdsong! WHAT HAPPENED TO ME!?!?" _____________________________________ ...can cure me of this curse.

[I laughed along with Forsaken, my eyes glinting]
"You're right, not much does get by me. I may be living and breathing, Forsaken, but that does not mean I'm alive on the inside"
[I twitched my ears, gazing at the demon cat. What are his plans?]
"Of course, I don't know all of your plans. It's not like we're best friends who tell each other everything, but like you, I can hold a deal"
[I jumped up as Forsaken mentioned holding his end of the bargain. My ears twitched nervously. The voice that had come from Forsaken wasn't his usual tone. It almost sounded like... Like Blazeheart!]
"Yes! Yes! Blazeheart! It's me!"
[I jumped back, as Forsaken/Blazeheart let out a yowl]
"I-I... I don't know. You're in a spirit's body. That's Forsaken. It's.. Temporary. Only once.."
[I trailed off, so happy to hear his voice again..]

_____________________________________ [Blazeheart looked over at his beautiful mate, who stood before him with joy in her eyes. he reached out to her and held her in his paws. tears in his eyes. it warmed his heart to be in her presence again. the one thing he had missed the most! Birdsong could feel Forsakens cold fur on hers, but she could feel the warmth of Blazehart shining through/] "....oh Birdsong.... i... i missed you so very much! even in starclan it feels like the dark forest without you! it am so glad that you are well. how have things been for you? and..." [Blazehart looked down at his temporary body. its pitch black form, its cold aura, and even more, the lack of a heart beat. he looked at Birdsong with concern.] "...who is this Forsaken. something dosent feel right. i feel so cold." what is this thing, why would she be talikg to such a creature? what happened to my love? _____________________________________ ...can cure me of this curse.

[I snuggled up against him, purring quietly, a happy sigh escaping me]
"Every minute here is agony without you. I have no idea how I go on.." I whispered.
[I looked up at the shadowy cat infront of me, insanity beginning to once again control me. Maybe him and Forsaken could share a body! He could stay with me forever, and I'd never have to be alone again..]
"Forsaken is a demon. A spirit cat. Him and I made a deal, and his end of the deal was that I would get to see you again!" I meowed happily, "All I have to do is be his eyes. No big deal. Him and I both detest StarClan. I don't see how you can bear being up there, with all the horrible things they do. Cold? Well, you're dead.."

[he looked down at her through Forsaken's glowing eyes. through them he could see her soul, it was cold, hurt and alone. he felt pain in his heart.] "Birdsong, how could you say such a thing? you made a deal with a demon!?" [he grew angry.] what did Forsaken say to her? is it trying to trick or harm her? [he growled quietly to himself.] if you lay one claw on her Forsaken you will regret it dearly!!! i will hunt you down! "What were you thinking? what if it is trying to trick you? you have no idea how Forsaken may use what you see against you! i dont know what i would do if you got hurt! and starclan has always watched over us, why would you think they are cruel? i dont understand..." [I flattened my ears slightly, green eyes shifting nervously]
"How could I say such a thing!? You have no idea how hard it's been without you! I can't.. I can't do this anymore!" I yelled.
[Gouging my claws deep into the soft earth, I tried to steady my breathing]
"I'd do anything, anything at all, to get you back. Even if it means making a deal with a demon cat, or climbing the tallest mountain, or isolating myself from everyone. Don't you understand!"
[I stared up at him, thoughts blurring together. I laughed, and it was cold and lifeless. Exactly how I felt]
"StarClan? StarClan?! Don't even get me started on StarClan! They don't watch over us! They don't watch over me, or anyone else. All they do is take the ones we love. They took you from me! And they'll end up taking Mapleleaf! My daughter.. Our daughter.. Oh, how I love her.." I sobbed.
[Slowly straightening up, I stared him right in the eye, knowing he could see straight into my soul]
"Don't worry about me. I don't fear getting hurt. Or dying. As long as I don't get sent to StarClan" I spat, "I'll be find"

_____________________________________ [Birdsong's explanation hit him like a dagger! he gasped! her pain was overwhelming. at that moment he felt he to, would do anything to be with her, to protect her from the harsh world and the loneliness, but it was hopeless. they were now in two different worlds, connected only by a demon, and who knows when it would decide to snatch control away from him wt one sudden and cruel tug! an expression of sorrow grew on the demon's face.]"i am sorry i had to leave Birdsong, i love you so much that it hurts, even in the after life. but please, live for me. dont throw yourself away! please hold on... for me, and more importantly our daughter. she is still here and need you. weather i like it or not i am a starclan cat now. please dont lose hope in us, in me. my greatest wish is to watch over you, as your angel. but i cant do that if you dont have faith!" [I was struggling to breathe, sadness and depression threatening to overwhelm me]
"What're you sad for! It wasn't your time to die! Can't you understand!!? StarClan took you from me! It's a part of some sick, evil, twisted plan to send me spiraling into insanity! They took my parents, and you, and made Galestar choose Frostclaw over me, and soon...soon..they'll kill her too. It.. I. Just.. I"
[I was choking on my words, claws turning up the earth as I tried to make sense of it all. Nothing fit together. Blazeheart was a StarClan cat. Was he against me too?
"I love you, Blazeheart" I whispered, "But I cannot have faith in StarClan. It's just not.. They're not.. Just no"

[I pressed up against him, shaking, feeling unable to go on. What was left here for me, anyways? Nothing. Nothing left to convince me to stay. I didn't want to be here, alive, anymore]
"It's not your fault. You were always too busy trying to protect me, and the Clan. Like a good warrior. You relied on StarClan to protect you, to make sure you could stay here with me, but they ripped it all away.." I whispered.
[He would've made such a great father, but StarClan took him away. He never even got to tell her how pretty she was, or what a great warrior she is. Mapleleaf had never known her father. I bowed my head, pushing my nose into his fur, straining to hear a heartbeat, any sign that signaled he was back, for good, but heard nothing. Just my own thoughts]
"She doesn't know who you are," I meowed softly, "Mapleleaf, I mean. No one knew we were mates. And you died a moon before she was born. She would've loved you, and you would've protected her just like you protected me.."
[I broke off, unable to speak. If only he was still alive..]
