Ravenfeather raced back into camp to try and find Troutail. He needed to talk to him about what had happened at the Gathering. "Troutail! Troutail!" He called, searching for him.

CloudFang heard Raven feather's calls. She saw NightFlame pad into the camp after him. CloudFang flicked her tail at TroutTail.

Troutail heard his mentor calling and he padded over to him. "Yes Ravenfeather what is it"? Troutail didn't have to ask but it was a habit of his.

[Shiningkit looked around wildly and started to run off toward BreezeClan. She turned around quickly and ran towward NightClan.]

"]  NightFlame padded into the camp after RavenFeather. He saw CloudFang and twitched his tail in greeting to her. She had missed most of the gathering but he had filled her in, through thoughts. NightFlame yawned. He was tired, but he refused to go to sleep. He sat down near a tree stump and looked up at the stars. [/

CloudFang saw the kit run off into the forest. "Hey wait!" CloudFang ran after the kit but the kit had crossed into BreezeClan. "Oh, i hope she doesnt get into any trouble." CloudFang padded back into the camp. She saw NightFlame yawning and purred amused. "Trying to stay awake sleepy head?" CloudFang pawed his ears playfully.

Ravenfeather saw Troutail and raced toward him. He panted. "Troutail, I wanted to talk to you about what happened at the Gathering." He told him quickly.

Troutail sighed "okay, go ahead and tell me how I messed up big time at the gathering". Troutail waited for his old mentor to start lecturing him about gatherings but he stood there. "Aren't you going to start telling me about gatherings and how the sacred truce and on and on about all the codes I almost broke"?

"HA ha ha, very funny." NightFlame said. He felt CloudFang's paw flick his ears. He swiped his paw at CloudFang's ears playfully. Soon the two of them were playfully fighting and swiping paws at each other. NightFlame lay on his back and laughed. "We are acting like two kits." He said.

CloudFang laughed. She looked down at him. The two of them were face to face. "I know. but sometimes its ok to act like a kit. It helps you forget all of your troubles." She said.

Ravenfeather shook his head in half-amusment. "No. I'm not going to lecture you. I'll only do that to you when I join the elders someday." Then he got back on topic. "But I wanted to tell you, that you aren't the only one not entirely trusted by all the clans." He hesitated for a second before continuing. "Once, when I was still a young warrior, I fell in love with another warrior from Stormclan. Her name is Falconfrost. We where young and foolish, and the our clans didn't know about it. But one day, after several moons of meeting her secretly, she told me she was going to have my kits." He continued. "Anyways, a few days before she was suppose to give birth, Stormclan's former deputy, Mallowtalon, was found dead with his fur in Falconfrost's claws. There former leader, Dreamstar, wouldn't listen to Falconfrost when she told him her side of the story..." He paused for a second, remembering the pain he felt when he heard the next part. ...And exiled her from Stormclan. Only a few cats among the four clans believed her story, even though she was telling the total truth!" He spat bitterly. "And I am one of those few cats. And because I loved her, and defended a "murderer" and a cat from a different clan, some of the our clanmates -even alot of the cats from the other clans- do not trust me completely. As such, I've had to prove my loyalty three times as much as any other cat." He added. "Also, I wanted to tell you that I believe you when you said that a badger killed your former mentor. Cats should always trust there own judjment of another cat before listening to rumors and gossip." He waited for Troutail to respond.

Troutail was amazed, his mentor knew exactly how he felt, Troutail finally replied. "Ravenfeather, I-I'm not sure what to say, thank you, and sorry. Although I may want to tell you something, if a certain piece of info got out about me I'd be finished. You're the only one I'd trust with it".

NightFlame got up and shook himself. "Yeah. I guess its ok to be selfish once in a while." NightFlame said. He sat down and licked his paws clean.
