Tam offers to heat water for the hip bath in case anyone need to clean up while he dries and puts away the dishes. Then he tells Kero to get his work together so he can take it to the temple in the morning.

Tam nods his thanks. "Very good, dulcha... now who wants to bathe first?" he asks pulling out the copper tub and putting it in the middle of the kitchen. He goes to fetch the blanket they use as a curtain and check on the water.

"I've got some nice smelling bath oils, princess. They'll make you smell pretty." says Tam wisely and hauls forth his collection of bathing lures. Kero no longer fought the idea of a bath, but sometimes he still had to be enticed.
"Let's see.. this one smells like cinnamon... and this one like those flowers Kero loves that bloom right after the snow melts... and this one smells like oranges... do any of those sound interesting?"

Tam draws himself up and frowns down at her. "I have you know I love flowers myself. I grow them in my garden and I have a very special black roase someone gave me once that doesn't die. It is very important to me. Tell you what... you take yer bath and I'll go bring it down from it's shelf so ye can see it... trush me... it's really old... at least six years... maybe more..."

He goes to the living room and pulls down a crystal case from the top shelf and puts it on his desk, opening it fills the room with the scent of a fresh cut rose. It was called a black rose, but in truth, it's petals were a deep dark purple and they were as fresh and supple as the day they had been when he found it on the kitchen table after a rather disastrous encounter with his swedh. He runs a gentle finger along the edge of one such petal and smiles to himself, then turns to find Kero staring at him.
"Something wrong, Taro?" he asks in confusion.

Tam nods. "Then you can take one once the ladies have finished. Why don't ye read to me fer a bit. Ye haven't done that for a while... and I do enjoy it when ye do." He sits down in his chair by the fire and closes his eys, waiting for Kero to find a story.
