::As soon as Mayumi began to cast the conversation between the two men ceased with an unnoticable gesture by Warren. The wards he had set around himself were ringing in his head, telling him someone nearby was delving into the arcane arts. The triggers quickly pointed him in her direction. He looked at her for a brief moment to find out it was a spell from the school of mysticism. Concentrating only a bit longer revealed the nature of her spell. Warren's mouth curved into a smirk, he could probably continue along this path and counter the spell, but that would likely blow out her ear drums. There was no need for that of course. Not being one for subtle lies he spoke in a whisper once again to Mortemus.:: We have a little eavesdropper in our midst. Do you think we should kill her?

::Mortemus watched Warren as he identified the spell, he had never really understood mages or what they ever seemed to be doing. What he did understand was that they held a great power that should never be underestimated. As Warren began speaking to him again his mouth curved into a demonic smile.:: Perhaps we should. My spear has not had fresh blood in a while...nor has Ragnos for that matter and she seems to get cranky when she doesn't eat. Not to mention she seems to have slimmed down since last I saw her...

::Eastwood grew less and less comfortable with situation at hand. He had never been the greatest pal in thw world when it came to Warren and he absolutley hated the person he had entered the bar with. He saw the young girl casting a spell and raised an eyebrow. It would be foolish to cast in the presence of Warren, any spell at all. Of course she was probably either ignorant of the arcane arts or was ignorant of the fact that Warren had mastered them. Something else caught his attention, her odd choice at a verbal component for her spell. If he remembered correctly all such words did was help focus the mind on the spell at hand, which is why higher level mages usually removed such a step from their casting. His hand balled up into a fist, this was going to be bad...really bad.::

((I must point out that the conversation was out of earshot from you. I.e. whispered between them. The only person who should be able to hear it is Mayumi))

Mayumi did not like any of the men, other than the dumb bartender, he seemed... well non blood thirsty. She narrrowed her gaze at the table. she stayed careful to not show emotion to the situation at hand. She knew only what she learned from her experiances, and though that be a lot, it shallowed in comparison to one of the men. She focused harder.

Just as david had said something totally idiotic Kai had entered the bar. He sensed the tension and sat next to Mayumi, showing that he was her gratest form of protection against anyone. Kai fingered the switch blades at his belt. He looked at the two men talking at the bar. She must be honing in on their conversation. he thought. he pushed his purple hair out of his face. This better not go bad. he thought.

((I'm going to point out Mayumi has that enhanced hearing spell on as well. In fact that is the only reason their conversation is being heard...for now))

::With but a wave of his hand Warren snapped Mayumi's weave. Not countering it as he would have done since, well...that would have caused a severe injury. This would just get rid of her bothersome spell. Though now he spoke to Mortemus in a tone that was about normal, one that probably everyone in the bar could hear:: So I say we go in 50-50. What you do with your half of the money is your own business. Of course we would need to set money down for expenses that way we could keep things up. If anything people would kill for the chance to have a dance club around here. I know I would personally spend my fair share on hunters. That way they could track down artifacts for me...I do enjoy tinkering with the magics of old.

::Mortemus grin slowly became just a small smirk, he seemed to ponder over what Warren had told him:: True. I personally was never one for such place...though others seem to enjoy them. I was too wrapped up in my duty to King and country as his lead Dragoon.

::Eastwood hurried to get the drink of water for the person who had just entered. As he did he breathed a sigh of relief, thanking god that Mayumi had not been killed just then...or worse. He knew Warren had never liked his private affairs interrupted...and that he also had a flair for torture. The other man he knew would not hesitate to drive a spear through her with less than a moments notice. This was getting tense and it was driving him mad. He knew he would have trouble if a fight broke out. Warren gave him enough trouble but this other person...he stood no chance against the two of them. His thoughts traveled to Warren's words. A dance club...just what was he up to?::

Katrina watched as the bartender got her drink. "A dance club sounds nice..."

You do know they're up to something, right?

No, duh. I felt that strange aura along with you as I came in. Still, there's no need to cause useless panic in here. Just go along with whatever they say to avoid any trouble. Wouldn't want to destroy the bar now, would we?

There was a pause. Normally...I wouldn't really care, nor get involved with any of this. Besides, I'm stuck in your body so I can't really do anything. But....when given the option...and if I was able to fight..... Mentally, Katrina could feel her give a shrug after a long pause. Take the time to contemplate...it's not mine.

Katrina didn't give her a response to that. Though everyone else could see her visibly. She frowned and her once cheerful and happy face suddenly darkened. Of course, if you could have heard that small conversation, the whole 'it's not mine' line wouldn't have made too much sense to you. Then again, Katrina was the only person who knew anything about Sayo. Sometimes, you needed to look past the obvious meaning things and dig deeper.

"That's what happens when she losess control over some magical situation, she gets pissed." Kai said as he kicked back in his chair.

"Court yard, go look in or under a tree, she is a tree person." Kai smiled as he went to his room.
