When Light arrived L was crouched in a chair and said "Ah! It's good to see you again Light. And you brought the cake!"

That was strange. Maron thought, but her thoughts were interrupted .
"Miyako, Maron, Chikai, and Hatsuharu. None of you were in class yesterday. Care to explain why?" the teacher asked.
"Well..."Miyako began, but stopped as she saw Chiaki's silencing glare.
Maron looked to Haru wondering if he could provide another interesting excuse this time.

"We were the victims of our society's unfair judicial system and it took us the entire day to turn the murky water into clear water," Haru said simply as if this happened every day.

The teacher stood dumbfounded while some of the stuents in the class snickered.
Chiaki, Maron and Miyako simply nodded their heads in agreement.
"Well, then...shall we get started with class?" the teacher asked covering the awkward moment.

L ate some of the cake then swallowed it "We beleive that Kira has returned and I would be glad if you and your father would help us in this once again." he takes another bite "We know this because a whole mass of criminals have all been killed off, and apearentlly...It was all from heart attacks. So...Will you be able to join us once more, Light?"

Maron simply stared forward the entire class, thinking, Before she knew it the bell had rung (rang?) for class to end. She got up from her seat and turned to Momij and Haru.
"Maron, we have gymnastics after school, remember?"
"Sorry Miyako, I can't go. One f my friends is leaving for a while, and I want to be there to say good bye."
"Who do I know her?" Miyako pried.
"No" Maron answered simply. She then turned to Momiji and Hatsuharu
"Do you guys want to walk home together?"
