Mica's smiles thins a little but never truly fades. "Yes you could try... and if that is indeed the way you wish to proceed, I will not stop you. But know this... miracles are event that happen through the intervention of our gods, in this instance this god is Lathader. And they are acknowledged by the fact that they are events that could not... would not happen without said intervention. You, yourself, have already said that you would gift us with this slate board, that you, yourself, have prepared this board for us. How then has he intervened? Where do you see Lathander's hand in this gifting?"

Mica lifts one graceful brow and smiles even broader. "Master Hopian. I suggest you think strongly about what you say next."





**Ugh... so tired... must go to bed... soon... take care, Kero... pleasant dreams... must not make contact with the keyboarddddddddd......**

Mica sadly shakes his head. "I was afraid you would say that. For it is an argument most often used by people who wish to lay claim to some form of divine providence. All I can say is this. Master Hopian, did you, before coming to this town, have any inkling as to who or what Lathander was? His worship is more commonly limited to a region far from this sphere. Of his temples in this land, there are but five and this is the smallest of them all. Or did that original thought come from deep within you, from your desire to help one to whom you have strong and lasting connections. I will not besmirch those connections, they are true and lasting. This I can clearly see. But I beg of you, do not belittle our god by forcing your goals on him. To us he is a precious and caring entity."

Mica sighs and goes to sit behind his desk. "Hopian, I cannot tell you what to think or feel. But if you were a true follower of Lathander I would honestly question your motives, if not to your face, then privately within the depths of my heart. As you are not, I ask you only this... if that was indeed the case. Why the subterfuge? Why must you go through the pretense of a grander scheme? Why not simply say both to your small companion and to me and my community. You felt compelled to create the slate and gift it. That form of guidance is indeed well within Lathander's providence... but trying to make s a mountain out of a molehill is not."

Mica notices this and shakes his head sadly. "You are one who lives his life in motion... and as such you feel the need to immediate compensation. Trust me, 'sirra. There are times when the small works far outweigh the large. Do as you will, but do not expect me to condone miracles which are in fact everything but. Now, if you do not mind, I have much work that needs to be done and I suspect your small brother would love to see you. Why don't you go pay him a visit, hmmm?"

Mica sighs and summons several of the temple's staff to move and mount the slate in the class room.

Mica shakes his head with a sigh. "You love him well and wish him to go through a renewed life free from care and worry. Trouble is, to be truly rejuvenated, one must experience all that life can give oneself... the good as well as the bad. Otherwise, why live a life at all."
