*Kero stirs under Tam, hugging him close...squashed between them are his pipe and his leopard*

Tam lowers his head with a sigh and wonders what will happen next. Life with Kerobian was anything but commonplace, more akin to jumping from one climatic point to another, and even though he often felt as though he was tumbling from the fry pan into the fire, he wouldn't have changed it for the world.

*Kero soon woke up, and snuggled closer to Tam*
Amrito vek, Sira...

Tam nuzzles his head and smiles. "Amrito vek, Taro..." He snuggles close and laughs deep in his chest. "Kerobian, that pipe has to go... I don't mind the leopard... it's soft... but the pipe is poking me where things do not need to poke... and it hurts... "

*Kero reaches down with a paw, and removes the pipe...just as the scene cuts to Hopian, who has come in to speak with the dawnlord...he's decided to abandon the miracle plan...since nobody would be foold by it at this point...the slate is finished...has been for quite some time...and he is simply going to give it to them*

Mica is pacing in his office. And this slate board... you wish to donate it to the temple, why?" he asks in confusion.

*Hopian shrugs*
What am I going to do with a board of slate? Take it...I know you need it...or have you forgotten who my brother is?

Mica shakes his head. "Trust me... I could not forget if I tried, m'sirra... but such a gift... it is quite an endowment. How will I explain this one to the High Temple's auditors?"

I don't know....I'd stage a miracle...but I don't think Lathander would go for it...

"Wise move. Though, if truth be known, he might have enjoyed making you squirm because of it as well. Let it not be said that my Lord is without a sense of humor. Very well, Master Hopian. I will accept your gift of the slate, for it will indeed be put to good use. And mayhaps it will get Brother Grayson off my back for a time as well. Poor man, all this has truly soured him. He was never the most jovial of individuals, but he did know how to look at things with an even bent... but of late, I fear he's been overly pessimistic."

*Hopian nods...then thinks*
Perhaps...with your permission...I will stage a miracle...if only to ease Kero's guilt about all this...and then Lathander can get his kicks out of making me squirm...after all the trouble m brother gave him...tis the least I can do...

Mica shakes his head sadly. "Although I can understand where you are coming from on this, m'sirra... I will have to tell you no, that is not a good idea. Miracles are not toys to be trifled with. They are gifts, blessings, to be handed out by our Lord and no one else. And true blessings have taken place here. Lathander has blessed this temple with his presence many times in the past few months. That he saved the life of Kerobian is miracle enough for us and should be for you as well. Do not mock him with this pretense."

Mica smiles warmly at him and bows in gratitude. "Please, my friend, do not think me remiss in my acceptance of your gifting. Indeed I am happy you thought to create this for us. And like I said, I do understand why you wished to do as you said. But there is more than the emotional state of yon cub to take in consideration on this. Any miracle, be it true or false, would be viewed by our brethren, not merely by him. A true miracle would be just that, something wonderful and meant to be celebrated... a false one would be living a lie."
