Amara looked at Roulin and smirked. Well let's watch as all three numbers hit she said to Roulin. Amara took another sip of her drink as the first number and color she had picked was called. Then the second...then the third. The people were amazed as much as the dealer was. Looking at Amara and Roulin he shoved chips their way. Looking at Roulin, Amara laughed. "So should we do another round of this, we're already double what we had when we first came here" she said to Roulin. "And how much are you trying to acquire, I at least want enough to buy some new clothes and some things for Aiden" she said to him.
Aeon shook her head. Laughing a little she couldn't keep her laugh under control. "I swear you are just like a little kid...the point of life is to try new things" she said looking at him and back at the menu. "Well try the muscles they have here, they're seasoned and kind of spicy" she said to him. "And you need to start eating better mister so you will have a spinach salad as well" she said smiling at him. She then conveyed their order to the waiter who then ran off to the back to deliver their order. When she saw the biscuits, she took one and began to pick at it. It tasted pretty good, the first time she had tasted something like it. When another waiter came by and poured the couple some of the wine Aeon had ordered earlier. Taking a sip she smiled at Moli and awaited what he had to say about the dining experience so far.

FalconBlade7591 As soon as the Mastering Owl began to get closer to him, he discarded his facade, and like the escaping act on Sebastian's cocoon,he would ear through the paper like a hot knife through butter. Tai, clenched his armored arm, and just as quickly as he finished this motion, the spears began to retract , whipping around as they returned to their origin, as soon as the returned to their liquid viscosity the entered though his skin and in an instant, his body became covered in spikes and needles, Impaling an pushing away all the cards holding him back, Tai's body could no longer keep up the punishment, His body shuddered and he paused, he gasped and coughed, a small surge of blood erupted from his mouth. He grasped his chest and coughed, his heart had burst , the needles then softened and began to chew away at the cards restraining him. Tai's eyes began to lose their light, and suddenly they reignited in rage, he was now controlling his blood flow on his own. As soon as the small inconvenience was taken care of, the spines began to return to his body,. He looked up towards Che and snickered, blood lightly trickling out of his mouth, He got into a position and quickly began to focus, his body began to show more definition, he was now controlling all his bodily functions on his own accord, his muscles began to swell lightly, defining themselves, and his eyes began to glow brighter, his heartbeat was now nonexistent and his body was now at the peak that only few humans could reach even within the rush that they use in their hastened breaths of true fear. The restraints of sanity were also completely gone....
Tai shot forward and reached into the ground, with a low grunt and heave, a low rumbling was heard as a boulder the same size, if not bigger than Che's glass ball was being unearthed from the arena ,"Hehehehe....COME ON!" he growled in a distorted voice. He heaved i over his head and prepared for the Mastering Owl to get closer. "So much for that...." Che's ball of electricity was blocked efficiently by Tai's countermeasure. Him simply lifting a boulder to protect and to hold for defense. Whatever the case was, Che wasn't about to let up on the young Owl. It had been a while since he had to push himself to this limit so maybe later he'd thank the two men with a round of drinks. None made by Tai or utilizing his recipe though. Che didn't want to envision a portal happy Sebastian nor did he want to meet him. That is, if the seemingly tired and listless butler had such a side to him.
The electrified Italian was still on the offensive even after Tai prepared his defense. It was nothing to him and his elemental force. Blood Manipulation or not, it was still just liquid. The Mastering Owl's eyes winced in thought on his next advancement. He could go all out, which didn't seem like a bad idea, or he could just go for Sebastian again...or he could ponder how Kate managed to make her way downstairs? When the figure of the Russian woman became clear to his blazing eyes, he cocked a brow in confusion and scowled in irritation. "Woman! What're you doing down here!?" barked the elder combatant. "Get out of here! Before you get---" Che had fallen into Sebastian's portal and was now falling through the air.
Tumbling head over heels now, Che's scowl could stretch no further. He was now more angry at himself than at Seb who had once again stuck his hand into his plan. He couldn't blame himself falling into this portal on Kate. Of course, afterwards, he'd give her a stern talking to...or maybe not. The thought of her retaliating in some way kept Che at bay. Then again, this positioning wasn't bad. He was over Tai at a nice angle meaning he could still do something in this situation. If that was the case, then this was it. The Owl's position was too good and he wasn't going to waste it. Charging himself to a good voltage for the younger Owl below, Che allowed his element to stream downward at a diagonal angle towards the man. The boulder above his head would easily be destroyed by this, but Tai himself had a chance to come out of the attack with something left to his power. The size of Che's elemental form during his full bodied attack may have been far too large to evade...

((Random Genya Post!!!))
Our favorite Alchemist Owl was completely oblivious to the fights going on, but when he noticed injured people enter the room, he knew he wanted to help. Alas, Aeon beat him, and they were healed before he could help the injured with his potion. "Eto.... " The boy shrugged as he took in the sights. He had seen the baby Aiden and he thought it was cute that it was ...well... a baby.
Yes, Genya was experimenting with the items he had in his bag, the bag that seemed to hold so much more stuff than it looked like it could hold. It was, as Ben jokingly referred to it as, Genya's magic bottomless bag of tricks. To Ben, it might as well have been because the Shield Owl didn't understand the science.
A light bulb flashed in Gen's head as he rushed over to the phone on Will's desk and then picked it up and dialed. He had forgotten to talk to Benkei, and now that he had a phone that could call international (because Gen's cell phone did not have international service), he could call Ben! Gen's logic was that since Will had business in Japan, he must have phones with international capabilities from the States. And so...he dialed.
Meanwhile, back in Japan....
Ring~ Ring! Banana phone!~ " Tsch..." Ben grumbled as he smacked the cell phone on the floor next to his bed. His bed was a wooden mat, so it was low to the floor. It was late at night in Japan at the moment because of the time difference from Las Vegas, and Ben had fallen asleep only to be awakened by this oddly familiar ringtone. Somehow, Benkei Thorinagano's ringtone had gotten pranked again. Maybe it was Nova...because Nova had made Ben's ringtone Banana Phone in the last roleplay. Nova and Ben hadn't really been in touch for a while now though. Ben looked at the incoming call number and blinked. It was "restricted." The Japanese Owl answered the phone and was met with his cheerful brother's response. Tsch.... Because of Genya's accent, Benkei heard "Los Veegos" instead of "Las Vegas." The Shield Owl looked at the window and then swore he saw what he thought was Naoki's shadow. Did this woman ever stop? She had seriously been stalking him.

Tai reared back, the boulder held tightly as he prepared for his next onslaught, with a heave he chucked the boulder at Che to counter the attack as he charged it, he darted to the side with inhuman speed, as he vaulted over another rock he gripped it with both hands, and with the momentum and fluidity his adrenaline was giving him, he twisted his body and ripped the long slab or rock from the ground, as he set his feet on the ground to complete the vaulting motion hurling the stone projectile in another attempt to knock the flying bug zapper out of commission. Tai realized how narrowly he avoided the attack, despite being so focused in crushing hi opponent, he was still able to notice a new scent...fresh blood, just drawing blood would be thrilling to him at this point, the extra ammunition would be a bounus, he quickly directed his focus to the new victim, without another word, His eyes flashed once ore, and his hands suddenly began to glow a deep red, with a thick scarlet aura emanating from them, this was not Che...so he was sure Will would not mind if he left her body to be cleaned off the walls, or more decoration for Sebs's taste, this thought was now behind him, like a hungry cheetah, he rushed towards her, both hands at the ready, to tear this one to ribbons in the blink of an eye.

((NPC---Sebastian))
Che had fallen prey to Sebs portal all because he had allowed himself to become distracted by a new arrival. The butler raised an eyebrow and wondered how the hell Kate had managed to find this place and turn up without being obtained by the ‘security’ set around the arena’s dark and gloomy hallways. Obviously, Kate was able to sniff Che out like a bloodhound, able to access the private lift and avoid any soul that lurked between the casino and this place. “I should have a word with those on duty…I know Deimos was running around here somewhere unchecked as well. Lucky woman…” Turning his attention back to Tai and Che , Seb was rather amused. Tai had safe guarded against both Che’s attack by using his animal like nature. The more and more Tai felt like he was not being taken seriously the more drastic and animal like he would become, this was something Sebastian had learned over the short years he had spent with Tai. Of course, Che didn’t know Tai and so he probably would have expected what the semi crazed boy did next.
While Tai’s argument later would be that he was told that he was not allowed to kill Che or whatever, he would probably still end up in deep s**t should he actually kill the pink haired new comer. Sebastian let out a small sigh as he lurched forwards into a quick sprint “I guess I should end this before someone ends up crying or dead~” A portal opened up directly in front of Seb and helped to close the distance between himself and Tai. The portal opened up in front of Kate and Seb promptly bolted out of it and towards Tai. “Now now Tai…this is no way to act towards a guest” A smirk played on the butlers lips as he evaded Tai’s hands and nailed the berserk younger male in the face with a tightly clenched fist. A small sickening crunch could be heard signalling that Tai probably now had a broken nose, nothing that can’t be fixed of course.
Twisting his body round, Sebastian quickly hit a few pressure points on Tai’s body before finishing up with a swift kick to the boys back that would lead to Tai falling over. “And just too make sure his down….” The ever so efficient butler produced a long needle from inside his jacket and injected the liquid inside into Tai’s arm “A mild sedative” He muttered to quell any worries anyone might have. Standing up and placing a cap on the needle before placing it back inside his jacket pocket, Sebastian smiled down at Che. “Well now…I believe this is where we call it a day.” Bowing lowly, Seb let out a small chuckle “Tell me Che, is this how you always deal with people? You do know that the more you antagonized Tai the more berserk he would have become. Perhaps next time you will be able to deal with him more efficiently…” Straitening up Sebastian picked up Tai and flung him effortlessly over his shoulder.
Sebastian spared Kate a small smirk and indicated towards a portal behind her “That will take you to your rooms for the evening. I am sure Will has already told you that you are all free to play in the casinos and gamble to your heart’s content. Che, there is a portal behind you as well…be sure to take a wash before stepping out tonight. I don’t think the other guests will appreciate the stink.” Patting Tai a few times on the back Seb turned on his heel with his trade mark smirk in place and strolled away casually. “You done alright today brat…But next time you try to attack a guest I will have to act accordingly and put you to sleep like the beast you are~”

Just inches from his fresh victim he felt something warm, and just as quickly, the world began to spin around him, he did not know if he was hit or if he jut ran into an invisible wall, suddenly as the world slowed down he felt a light sprinkle of sand on him, he had fallen. Tai coughed and sputtered as he became overwhelmed in seconds. He heard a smart as voice again,".....Seb....you....." he stuttered. The blood around his battered body began to growl as it began to grip it's bearings, and began to move to attack the damn traitor,, but so much blood had soaked into the sand, it had become unusable, What little was left began to continue soaking into ground uncontrollably. His heart had burst and his body had no control over the flow, however he was able to reabsorb just enough to keep himself from dying right then and there, as the sedatives had begun to kick in he was still able to maintain his ability, but he could not do anything more than circulate what was left of the blood in his body. Tai felt himself moving again, but not by his own accord, his body felt like a rag doll, and his eyes half open from the drug as he slowly lost consciousness, "....Sebastian...heh.....you cheated..." he muttered in his shorted breath, and with that, he fell silent.

Luca smiled a little at her before addressing the waiter. "Yes, I'll have the Wagyu 16 oz steak." "Very good indeed." The waiter said as he took their menus and went to place their order. Luca looked back towards Bailey, they needed to kill a little time until their meals were to come. But now what was there to talk about? Luca had already popped the big question, and with the recent news his mind was in a million other places. He stared out the massive wall window that surrounded the rotating restaurant, from this position he could see the office building that Will owned, he never understood the Satan owl, but that was probably for the best, to know such madness would have been to admit ones own madness was on the same level.

Because they had quite some time to kill before their orders were brought out, Bailey began to think of what they could talk about. Luca had already asked her to marry him and they had spoken of her mutation. What else was there to discuss? She looked down at his metallic arm. She'd always been curious about it. She was sure he had never told her how he had gotten it. There were days when she was afraid that her vectors would go out of control and he would then end up with two metal arms. Not thinking about that was hard, but she pushed it out of her mind, not wanting to ruin this time they had together for who knew when they'd have time like that again. "Um...you know I don't think you've told me anything about your past," she said shyly. "I mean, I know you're English that much is certain, but I kind of want to hear about your past, how you got where you were today, how you discovered your mutation, how did that metal arm of yours come to be. Of course, if you're not comfortable in telling me, I completely understand."

Erin noticed that Cecilia's jaw muscles tightened when Roulin was mentioned. Her brow furrowed slightly in concern about that. "Does it have anything to do with Roulin?" Erin asked tentatively, "I don't know much of what's going on, but I'm sorry if I upset you. It was completely unintentional." Erin then returned her attention to getting the two of them down to the casino floor. "If you're ready to go, so am I." She replied, following Cecilia towards the door. However, just before Cecilia opened the door, Erin froze in place. She had just remembered the clothes she was wearing. "Are you sure I'll be okay wearing this?" Erin asked. She wasn't frightened, she was just being overly cautious.

Kate had not even been watching for five minutes when she was noticed by Che. Her eyes narrowed in irritation when she heard him call out to her. The words he used were a tad on the offensive side. "Just pay attention to your own hide, Presidiomini, and I will worry about my own!" Kate called back. And that was when she noticed the beast-like Tai rushing straight towards her. Kate didn't think she would actually have to defend herself really. But she was about to try her phasing method when Sebastian came to her rescue, if one could even call it that from Will's butler. As such, Kate really didn't have to do anything to keep Tai from tearing her throat out and using her blood as part of his arsenal.
The Eternity Owl relaxed as much as she could relax in this situation. She didn't have to defend herself now as Sebastian seemed to have put Tai out of commission for the time being. "The help was not needed..." Kate said to the butler before Sebastian left with the unconscious Tai draped over his shoulders like a sack of potatoes. "Well, that was not very entertaining." Kate commented aloud to no one in particular.
She looked over her shoulder only briefly at the portal Sebastian had indicated. She didn't have to listen to the butler. He was just giving them a convenient way of returning to their own rooms for the evening. But now that Che's match was over, there really was nothing in this room to keep Kate busy, so she turned back towards the portal, about ready to head back to her room.

The last thing Cecilia wanted to talk about was Roulin. Even though Erin had just finished pouring out her feelings so to speak, Cecilia could not bring herself to do the same. Despite the fact that there was a part of her who could feel the emotional scars, which hurt worse than the physical scars she had gotten, there was no way that she would be able to confide in Erin about it. "It's nothing. Everyone has relationship problems. I'm just going through mine right now. It's nothing a little ice cream and a few sappy chick flicks won't fix," she said, her lips turning upwards into a smile of playfulness before answering Erin's question about her outfit. "You look fine, and no...no one is going to give you any problems. Now come on," she said leading them out of the room.
The casino was just downstairs. Cecilia had considered teleporting both of them via wormhole, but witnesses might have panicked, not to mention it would have been Erin's first time and it seemed to leave people rather disoriented with the feeling of being sucked through like a high powered vacuum cleaner. The Herald didn't want to make her friend uncomfortable. So she decided against it and decided to just walk down to the casino. Once there, it was clear that this casino was one of the biggest hotspots in this city. Getting through the crowd would be rather tough. Cecilia took Erin's hand. "Just so we don't accidentally get separated," she said as she walked in weaving her way through the crowd making sure she had a good hold of Erin so that the Artistic Owl wouldn't get swept away by the ever increasing crowd. Once they reached a clear area of the casino, Cecilia immediately let go of Erin's hand.
"Okay, I'm not sure which games you have played before. But from what I can see there's regular Poker, Black Jack, Roulette, I think I see a variety of slot machines. Um...I think that's it." Cecilia was partial to Black Jack. It was perhaps one of her favorite card games and it would be easy to walk Erin through it. But whatever Erin chose, Cecilia would be fine with. A cocktail waitress stopped by with a drink while Cecilia waited for her friend's answer. It looked to be a Cosmopolitan. "From an admirer," she said, her voice loaded with meaning. Cecilia blinked. An admirer? Had some guy taken a liking to her? "Who is it from?" Cecilia asked with minor curiosity.
Who was this so called secret admirer. The waitress pointed at the bar. Cecilia peered around her and looked. There were a few people sitting at the bar, but only one man with deep red hair. It was impossible to see the rest of his features as his back was turned. "Is it that man with the red hair and blue button down shirt?" she asked the waitress curiously. The waitress shook her head. "No, it's from that person sitting two seats away on the seat to the left of him." Cecilia looked again and sure enough, a woman who appeared to be in her mid twenties maybe was smiling at Cecilia and raised her glass, also a cosmopolitan in salute and winked at her flirtatiously.
Her hair was cut short and she was rather plump, but had an attractiveness about you, but that did not steer away from the fact that Cecilia wasn't a lesbian, nor was she bisexual. Her cheeks tinged red with embarrassment, she took a step back from the waitress. "Um...thanks, but I'd like to order my own drink if you don't mind. A mudslide please," she said producing her credit card from her wallet and placing it on the tray for the waitress to ring up the drink with. The waitress nodded and left. Cecilia sighed. They hadn't been here five minutes and already she had been mistaken for a lesbian. "So as I was saying before that awkward moment happened, anything in particular you think you would enjoy playing?" she asked turning back to Erin.

Luca's eyes widened ever so slightly at the mention of his past. He looked down at his right arm, the mechanical one which now characterized him so perfectly. "For the most part my past wasn't anything special. I was a kid, growing up in England with my father, mother and brothers. I was the oldest, a trouble maker of course. Starting fights with the neighbors, you know typical kid nonsense. After the Owl incident I began to feel very strange, my body constantly gave off a small discharge, which usually came about in the form of static shock. My father, who was also an Owl took me into a special research facility where they tested my symptoms, and gave me a regiment of steroid based hormones which stabilized my electric based powers until I could control them."
He reached up taking a drink of his glass before continuing. "Shortly after my father began training me in the family trade, he was a 'handyman' that's what my brothers and I called it, but really he was a mercenary, and a damn good one at that." he smiled a little thinking of some of his earlier training mishaps that he had gone through. Shaking his head lightly he continued. "It was with him that I was trained in hand to hand combat as well as tactical fire arm training and finally my owl powers. When I was a bit older I started doing missions, but unfortunately with the success of my first two I got cocky. On my third mission a friend and I were to perform some task for a pharmaceutical company's president. On the mission however the resistance that we faced was much greater then our intel had been lead to believe. My partner, a friend of mine growing up through the training died that day, and my right arm was torn away by an explosion." He looked at Bailey flexing his metallic fingers as he looked over his hand.
"I learned from that, I learned to be cautious, to never take chances lightly, and to always assume the worst in a dog fight. So here I am, a gun for hire under the contract of Lucien working for the UNS...Well perhaps not anymore given the circumstances but you understand. My owl designation, this arm, all of it came through pure circumstantial events. I regret what happened to my friend but I've let it help me become a better person."

Bailey listened in silence, her aquamarine eyes never leaving Luca's face as he spoke of his past, of the trials he faced, of the arm he had lost. The Diclonious Owl realized that the two of them had walked different paths in their lives for her own past was much different. When Luca finished, Bailey's lips curled into a smile. "It's the trials we face that can make us stronger and better people," she said as she took a sip of her wine. "My life was a bit different from yours. I was born and raised in Louisiana. My family was of the middle class I guess you can say. We weren't rich and we weren't poor. We lived comfortably. My dad worked in the oil field and my mom...my mom was known as a traiteur, which is a Cajun faith healer. She used herbs and other such things that came from nature to heal her patients ailments. She was very good at what she did. The only thing she couldn't do was bring someone back to life. She had said that once that door was closed, it could not be opened again."
Bailey looked down and ran her finger around the rim of the glass creating a small sound that was almost like a soft melody. "I was around five when my powers started to manifest. It was small at first. It started with me waking up in the middle of the night and parts of my dresser or my bedposts being torn off as if something had just grabbed them and bent them until they broke. I had no recollection of doing something like this. My parents sent me to quite a few child psychiatrists thinking that I might have something mentally wrong with me that I would somehow manage to break something in a rather brutal way. The melody stopped and Bailey looked up at Luca. "The psychiatrists couldn't find anything mentally wrong with me, but they prescribed me with some medication. I never took them though. I would always hide the pills I was supposed to take and then throw them out when my parents weren't looking so that it would like I was taking them as scheduled."
Bailey closed her eyes readying herself for the next part of her story. "When I was about seven, I was going downstairs one night to get a drink of water. I heard my parents arguing about me. My dad wanted to send me to an asylum while my mom argued and pleaded with him, but in the end she gave in. I don't remember what happened after that. All I remember was blacking out. The last thing I remember was six ethereal arms emerging from my back. I could only watch in horror as they tore my mother and father apart. I remember screaming so loudly that it woke the neighbors. They came and saw what had happened. My vectors had retreated again. Why they didn't kill my neighbor, I don't know. The police were called and it was registered as a brutal homicide. Because I was so young, they didn't even look at me as a suspect. I had family in other parts of Louisiana, but they didn't want me so I was sent to live in an orphanage."
Bailey looked down again. "I isolated myself while living in the orphanage. I had a room to myself and wouldn't leave it. Being away from the other orphans was the best thing for me as my powers were unpredictable. I lived in that orphanage until I was eighteen and was released. During those years, no one inquired to adopt me. I would often watch out of my window as other children were adopted. I longed for a family, but being in isolation had been the best thing for me at the time. I was too dangerous to be around others. Why I wasn't sent to an asylum, I don't know. Perhaps those who worked at the orphanage took pity on me and allowed me to stay. After I left the orphanage, I only had enough money to move from motel to motel, cheap motels that should have been shut down by health inspectors, but weren't. I had heard of the UNS and searched for them, finally finding them in Paris and well...you remember the result of that I'm sure. I joined the UNS and the rest is history." She sat back in her seat and fell silent indicating that her story was now finished.

Che's bolt-like form easily tore through the boulder that Tai held defensively above his head as if it were simply another shoddy obstacle. The rubble from the blast sprayed out in all directions. The sand the covered it provided a nice shroud for a moment or two but as Che rose from his kneeling position the dust like granules fell to back onto the ground. There he was, staring at Che with blood red eyes once again ready and ripping to attack. The Mastering Owl simply raised his fists. When the young berserker's attention sat upon Che's pink haired lady friend, things changed quickly and drastically. Sebastian, the motionless butler took to the rescue faster than Che could. He delivered actual attacks, something that surprised Che and knocked Tai out using a sedative. Hadn't the elder Owl been in such a serious mode, he may have laughed at the way the obviously psychopathic fighter had to be taken down. Like a psychopath.
"I---You know what, I don't give a damn..." Che began to protest, but dropped the issue immediately. There was no need to contest the man's words as he easily did away with Tai in mere moments. The Italian didn't have needles or syringes like these two apparently did and so that made things slightly difficult. Sparkling and crackling still, he waved as Sebatian made his way off of the field with a mumbling Tai. "And next time tie the leash tighter! Christ...." He'd request another fight with the man in the future. A fight in which Che decided he wouldn't d**k around until he needed to become serious. Now, there were only two people left on the field. Him and the Russian, Kate.
Mysterious or not, she'd managed to slink her way down past whatever Will inevitably had set up whether it was a deadly prank or just something to piss people off. Scratching his head free of the sparks that had been itching his electrified scalp, Che opened one eye and looked at Kate has he hobbled over towards her. First order was a sigh, then a nod expressing pure disagreement. Following that was a deep inhale and then a soft yet churning, "How in the hell did you find your way down here?" Opening both his eyes now, he slipped his hand into his pocket which was still in element. "Do you know you could've died just now? Seriously Kate, it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be so I'd rather fight for one person instead of two alright? So next time I go somewhere in this house with one of those two, just stay put and out of the way please?"

Erin wasn't really sure about the answer Cecilia gave her to her question about Roulin, but the Artistic Owl didn't want to pry into her friend's private life. After all, she should show Cici the same respect that the azure owl had shown her: let Cecilia open up at her own pace.
Once they finally left the room, Erin fell into step next to Cecilia as they headed down onto the casino floor. She was still very self-conscious about showing her tattoos despite Cecilia's assurance that no one would bug her about them. But as soon as they got down stairs, Cecilia took hold of her hand and began leading her through the crowds. Erin had a tiny bit of trouble keeping up and nearly stumbled twice on their way past the bar and to an area that had more space. She was about to answer her friend's question about what games she knew how to play when a waiter came over and offered Cecilia a drink from an 'admirer'. Erin looked towards the bar as the waiter pointed out to Cecilia who had sent the drink to her. Erin couldn't help but blush a little bit when she saw that it was a woman. To cover it up and not embarrass Cecilia any further, Erin gave a sheepish smile as the gravity herald turned to look back at her.
"Well, yes. That was awkward." Erin commented briefly before starting to answer Cecilia's question. "There were some casinos in Brazil where Elle and I grew up, but I never really played at any of them. I know a few card games though, none of which would be played in a casino." Erin admitted, her sheepish smile growing in embarrassment. "I wouldn't mind playing anything really, just so long as its not too complicated."

Kate had her back turned to him when Che started asking her questions. The Russian woman turned on her heel, a frown on her face. She didn't say anything at first, just glared a little at Che. Then, her eyes narrowed a bit as she raised her hand to smack it across Che's face. "How dare you. You think I cannot take care of myself in a battle? You even go so far as to not even use my name to catch my attention." she retorted, referring to the moment where Che had called her simply 'woman'. Personally, she found that insulting.
The Eternity Owl took a small step back to let Che recover a bit from what just happened before talking once more. "And as for my ending up here... It was no fault of my own. I would rather not waste any more of my time down in Satan's Snake Pit. We've spent more than enough time in there for the past two months than I would like to. Other than that, there really is nothing else to do. Do you expect me to just sit and twiddle my thumbs or whittle the time away?"
Of course, this was a rhetorical question that Che didn't really have to answer. Kate was just going off on a rant now. As stated before, she was insulted by the fact that Che didn't seem to think that she could take care of herself. He seemed to think that she always needed to be protected or coddled. "I am a grown woman, Presidiomini. There will be times where I am capable of keeping myself from physical harm. Or did you forget about my original ability?" Granted, Kate knew that her phasing didn't always work when she wanted it to, but it usually did. The one exception while she was with Che where that had happened was back in Rome. But for now, she was using all of those other times where her phasing had worked to try to prove a point. She had no idea if it would actually work, but it was worth a shot.

That awkward moment done, Cecilia was sure there would be no more. She listened as Erin informed her that she had no preferences so any game would suit her just fine. Cecilia nodded. "Hm..." she looked around and spotted an empty blackjack table. "We can start with blackjack. It's fairly easy to learn. I'll be there to walk you through and guide you through everything," she said reassuringly. Just then, the cocktail waitress returned with Cecilia's mudslide and her credit card. Cecilia thanked the waitress before she turned and led Erin towards the vacant blackjack table where a man was shuffling the cards artistically.
On their way there, Cecilia glimpsed across the casino and caught sight of Roulin who was at one of the Roulette tables with Amara. They seemed to be doing quite well. Cecilia itched to go over there and join the game, but there was a small part of her that had a feeling if she did, he would just get up and go to another table. After gazing at him for a moment, she turned away and continued her journey to the blackjack table. She sat down in one of the chairs and waited for Erin to sit in the other. Cecilia didn't turn and look at Roulin again, but she could still feel him there. Not being a telepath nor an empath, she didn't know if he and Amara were on a date or not, but wasn't about to jump to conclusions as it would only lead to trouble.
