Tam eyes him strangely and after giving himself a firm shake to try and set things right, he walks over to where the cub is resting. "Is something wrong, Kero? Shall I call Shar? Oh, I know, she gave you your shot, didn't she?"

Tam shrugs and climbs up on the bed. "Bored then?" he asks with a smile. "I see she's let ye at least go to relieve yourself. Thank heavens for that. I was getting tired of changing the pads. So what are you allowed to do?"

Tam makes a face and lies down on the foot of the bed. "Ye needed cleaning this morning for more than one reason, kiddo. See that bluish material under ye? It's a pad to protect the mattress. Let's just say, individuals who are unconscious don't have control over certain bodily functions and leave it at that. Someone had to take care fo ye and I certainly wasn't going to let ye sit in it."

"Well, I could read to ye... or tell ye some tales from me misspent youth... or we could play a game... hmmm... what would ye like to do?" asks Tam lazily.

"Master Talesian, would ye mind not saturating the bedding." scolds Sharmistra walking in with a armload of dry bedding.

Tam sheepishly gets up and flashes her a smile of apology. "Sorry, I need to think of a better way of drying this mess."

She stares at him as if he is not only blind but foolish. "Your element is light, right?" she demands testily. Tam nods hesitantly. "Then make yerself glow... light puts off heat... honestly, sometimes I think all men need a keeper." she grumbles making Kerobian move so she can change the bedding.

Tam winks at him and saucily trots back to the bed, purposefully leaning against Sharmistra. "No need... seems I'm already dry..." he teases gently. "And technically I'm only half a man... so I guess I'm not entirely hopeless."

She aims a mock swing at his head and drags the wet bedding out into the hall to be picked up by one of the temple's servants.

Tam reclaims his spot at the foot of the bed and cocks an eyebrow at him. "Ye know... funny thing... she was probably right... I just never thought of it."

Tam sighs. "Resistant does not make ye immune, Taro. And that blade went deep, a bit too deep. Shar called on Lathander to help pull it out and initiate healing but I'm afraid that is all he did. No god performs absolute miracles when he knows it is not necessary... not even Ao... especially not Ao. He sets things in motion and watches how they play out. It is up to us to manufacture our own miracles."
