She eyes the mug with a sigh, shaking her head slowly. "Kero, yer sweet, but your paws are far more dexterous than mine. Can ye find me my bowl please."

She lifts one of her broad webbed feet and sighs. "Thank goodness I"m not locked in this form, I'd really get rusty with me harp, just like before... but I really don't want to swtich back just yet. And I'm no good at meshing forms like some of my brothers can do."

"Alright, sira. If you wish to drink from a bowl like yon Pussycat, I shall indeed seek that which belongs to thee out. And once I have divined the location of thine bowl, I shall endeavor to fill it thereafter with fresh cider, and shall hasten to return it to thee within the timeliest manner possible."

Kero, laughing at his comment, leaves to do just that, sniffing out her bowl and bringing it back filled with fresh cider, drawn straight from the keg he stored in his cellar.

"Here we are, Sira. Fresh squeezed cider, ready for drinking. Now chow down, before all this wonderful food gets cold."

Kero quickly hastens to follow his own advice....before Ai can think of anything else she needs. The food is getting cold, after all.

She scratches her head in confusion. The cider in the mug was perfectly good cider. All she wanted for him to do was pour it into a bowl so she wouldn't have to shift to drink it. Her tongue was long, but not that long, not nearly as long as his. Why did he have to go for more cider when there was a mug full sitting before her on the table. Unless...

She peers hard into the bowl, trying to see if there is anything hidden on the bottom of her bowl that he didn't want her to know about. Not seeing anything she shrugs once more and begins to eat, though in truth she's rather surprisingly full. Her emotional link to the world about her was fully functional, perhaps for the first time in only who knew when, and her store of psychic energy was practically bursting it's bounds. In fact she was soon going to have to bleed it off into the surrounding countryside, simply to avoid having too much. Which made her wonder, could a psychic vampire have a tummy ache from over eating? It was a problem she had never faced before. An over abundance of positive emotion. She had drowned in the depths of anger, gone mad beneath an onslaught of despair. The negative had ways of pulling her under, robbing her of her sanity. But this time her mind was crystalline clear. It was kind of funny, really, and something completely new for her, just when she was beginning to feel she had experienced it all.

But that led her to understand that the hunger she was feeling so intensely just then was actually Kero's; she was feeling his connection to his spell-spring and ultimately through that his tie to the void. And as she realizes this she begins to wonder why she was feeling his emptiness so intensely when she never had before. Were they growing too close? Had he somehow managed to supplant Bez in the psychic bond she had with her swedh? Or was it something completely different? Just thinking about it made her head swim. She felt so good and yet something deep inside said there was going to be a hefty price to pay for her indulgence.

Sighing inwardly, deciding there really wasn't much she could do about it just yet, she pretends to eat... carefully porting bits of her food onto his plate whenever he wasn't looking. Of course he gets really confused about this, but it becomes a game with her, seeing how long she can keep it up before he catches her in the act. Bite by bite, she slowly carves away at her food, until only about a quarter of the pie remains... and then...

Kero cocks his head at her, his green eyes darkening to blue, then lightening in shade until they match the sky.

"W...What's wrong, sira? Don't you like it? I could fix you something else if you don't." He offers, swinging himself off the table to go over to his stove.

As he goes, Tam realizes she has connected to him on a deeper level, and that now she knows his feelings as he knows hers. He was a little hurt that she wasn't eating, but he put on a stoic face, and he did want her to enjoy her meal.

Hopping down quickly she goes over to his side and rubs up against him worriedly.

"Kero, dulcha, I"m quite happy with what you fixed. It's delicious. I love mushrooms and ate quite a few; and the chips were so yummy. I'm so very happy you made them. But I'm really full right now. You fed me so much earlier I couldn't put another bite down if you paid me to. It has nothing to do with how it tastes or what you made... and a whole lot to do with how I feed. For the first time in heaven only knows when, physical food simply wasn't needed. I... I thought I was hungrier than I really was. I haven't been this sated in ages. Ye might say my eyes were bigger than my stomach. It all looked so good, but I simpy couldn't get it down. No room for it to go to."

She nuzzles him fondly, giving him the equivalent of a feline kiss. "I was pretending to eat and filling your plate on the sly so as to not hurt your feelings. You went out of your way to make some of my favorite snacks to go with those pies. And I knew you were starving... you are always hungry. Forgive me?"

**if he was so darn good at reading her feelings he should have picked up on the fact she was full and content as far as the feeding went... her only concerns had to do with his perpetual hunger and why she was feeling it so intensely... that and seeing how long she could tease him by making him wonder if he really did eat that last bite on his plate**

Underneath his fur, Kero blushes beet red, and nuzzles her back, completely embarrassed by what has just happened.

"Umm...I'm sorry, Sira. I never realized exactly what was going on. I should have known...I thought I sensed something, but I disregarded it..."

He's babbling, and he knows it, but he still feels as though he should apologize to her for some reason, if only for suspecting she didn't like his cooking, when she had shown time and time again that she loved it. As well, he is embarrassed because he didn't sense her emotions, which he should be able to do in his sleep by now.

Ai shushes him gently by nuzzling him fondly.

"Hush, yer babbling... what have you got to appologize for, hmmm? You didn't know. I never said anything. To be absolutely honest, I didn't realize the fact myself until I started to eat."

She purrs as she rubs her head against his. "Funny, isn't it. When ye feel good, you don't always stop to figure out why yer feeling so fine, but when ye are under the weather, every ache and pain gets tallied. And just so ye know... I'm feeling rather good right now. Don't know how ye did it, dulcha, but ye brought me back online... completely. Or at least it seems that ye did. I'm going to have to do some soul searching and cataloging of my abilities to see if it is indeed true. I may just be grasping at straws here... seeing the gold and ignoring the dross."

Smiling, Kero nuzzles her again, and whispers something in her ear that makes her blush furiously.

"Well, perhaps not that, but I know for a fact there is nothing drossy about you. You, my kechara sira, are piure Gold through and through."

With that, Kero smiles brightly and nuzzles her, leading her back to the hearth to lie down with a bowl of cider as he goes to finish off the meal. Once done, a feat which takes him a surprisingly short amount of time, he returns to his Sira, a familiar gleam in his eyes, one that has her groaning internally...hadn't they done this enough today?

Ai shakes her head as she makes rooom for him on the pallet. "Again, dulcha? Maybe you shouldn't have eaten so many mushrooms after all...." she teases with a deep rumbling purr. Before he can do anthing though, she lifts up a paw to which she has strapped the grooming brush and grins wickedly.

"So what shall it be... this.... or that?" she asks with a low throaty chuckle.

Now he's torn. Truth was, a proper groming was just as satisfying in many ways. And he really did need one. So did she from the look of it. But he really did have his mind set on something else.

Smiling, Kero forms a plan that incorporates all three things, and rolls onto his back, exposing the tangles and knots on his belly to her.

"Okay, Sira. I choose this. Groom away, as is your payment, then allow me to return the favor. After all, you need it just as much as I do."

Chuckling to himself, Kero waits for her to go to work. Rolling over had exposed the fact that he was perfectly ready for the other choice available to him, and he intends to make her ready when he grooms her. It is a good plan, in his mind.

"Sybarite!" laughs Ai rapping him gently on the side of his leg. "Roll over. Back first. If I'm going to groom you, you're going to have to cooperate here. Save the best for last, hmmm?"

As he rolls over laughing, she begins to comb the tangles out of his thick dark fur using long firm but oddly gentle strokes. Begiining with his head and working her way straight down to his tail tuff she soon has him purring, shining like her favorite gemstone.

"There..." she declares, nuzzling him as she urges him to roll back so she can tacke the mess underneath. "Yer gorgeous once again. I do declare you are one handsome cat... no one who sees you will be able to say otherwise."

The bottom of his fur is like night to day, so snarled with knots it makes her wonder what he's bee crawling through. Grinning she decides to pretend she doesn't see anything other than truly tangled fur and begins beneath his chin, using strokes that are so gentle they almost seemed to be caresses, as she carefully works the knots free moving ever so slowly down his chest. Somehow she manages to find all his sensitive places and by the time she's done he is truly squirming.

"A...And you call me a sybarite, Sira?" Coughs Kero, trying to control the fact that he is twitching fiercely.

Well, two can play at the game, and he gently takes the brush from her, urging her to lie down on her back so he can groom her, which he does. Starting out on her back and sides, he gets her beautiful as well. Once he goes down, though, he changes his tune. Long strokes, designed to simulate a mate's caresses, tease every sensitive spot on Ai's body, giving her a taste of her own medicine in regards to that kind of feeling.

By the time he is done, Ai is so edgy, she can't lie still. Growling low in her throat, she closes her eyes with a moan. "I want... I... I need... to fly...." she hisses through clenched teeth.

**How's he going to cope with that request? And the fallout of such a possibility? Does he even realize what she's talking about? I don't believe he would. He's way too young and far too sure of himself. Most likely he going to see her request as a tribute to his expertise. Sorry, but he's been pushing her buttons all day... and well, the northern spirit would just like ye to know he's sort of pushed one to many. Of course, she's probably pushed a few herself egging him on. But I'd like to say we have a bit of a crisis on our hands here... what happens when a primal creature (one who has been said to be the first born of the pool of life, one who may actually precede the pool altogether) mates with one who admittedly sends everything back to it. I know you say he's sterile, but... well, I suspect such a thing wouldn't matter here. Nothing dead going into that body would stay dead for long... (Sorry, I just tossed ye the proverbial hot potato... on purpose. You seem to want to keep this thread in the "bedroom" so to speak and that wasn't exactly my intent by getting them together. stare Not angry, but let's get back to the story... and ye better come up with something good, kiddo. Don't mind if you take where you were taking it, but I really want to write a bit more than a Kero tries to get Ai beneath him every chance he gets role play. Not my cup of tea, iffin ye catch my drift. So if you go there, just realize I'm going to twist it up a bit. wink )**

((1: Honestly, I was seeing how long ye'd let me get away with it. 2: Don't worry...I have a plan to handle the whole "Bedroom" bit.))

**Then handle it,my friend... how is everything down your way? We came down into 100 degree temps, but it's finally cooled off a bit... thank heavens. Mom's better and my dad is doing great. I'll be back on the third, but very very late. Probably won't be able to check in for any length of time until the 4th sometime.**
