To his surprise, Sharmistra is nodding furiously. "That's it then... this is one of his true forms. Not all the angels were homanoids, were they, Master Talesian?"

Tam starts to shake his head then stops, stunned. "How did ye know...." he demands in a low dead voice.

Sharmistra smiles at him sadly. "It is in our dogma... in a way.... We worship Lathander, true, but through him we also worship Ao... the One, who was served by five winged lions. It says so right there in chapter 5, verse 12...."

"That is enough Dawnmistress...." comes Mica's voice from the doorway. He walks into the room and smiles sadly down at Talesian. "As I was saying last earlier... our oracles are rarely wrong."

Tam is by him in an instant. "I'm right here, Taro. I'm right here...." he says in a soft loving voice, sending dagger like glares at Hopian and the others.

Tam sighs dramatically and laughs. "How low can I fall... now I'm not but a substitute for his stuffed toy... " But he is grinning from ear to ear and he pulls the cub close and curls about him.

**Trust me... Tam knows this... he was only cracking a joke at his own expense.**


With a sigh of contentment, the great white lion shelters the cub with it's wings and gives Sharmistra a wink. "Some things are worth being banished for..." he whispers in a low quiet voice. "Ye just have to be willing to pay the price...." Then he closes his eyes and a low rumbling purr begins to fill the room.

Sharmistra gives the white lions each a hard look, then shakes her head before returning to her office with Mica in her wake. She closes the door between the rooms and turns to face him.

"Dawnlord Mica... you stopped me, why?" she asks worriedly, wondering what it was she had done wrong.

"Master Talesian came to me some time ago, to ask for our aid and I gave it, freely.... I have known for some time now who and what he was, but to put a label on it is to endanger both him and Kerobian. There are some who would stop at nothing to cage one such as he and trust me, they would use the cub to get to him, if they knew how precious the little one was in Talesian's eyes. For their safety, I command you to speak never again of what the three of you were speaking this night."

"But..." she begins, then seeing the sternness in his eyes she bows her head and agrees to remain silent.

Tam cracks an eye an grins. "Smart move, Kero... that shot may just keep ye alive.... so be brave when she gives it, okay? I have come too close to losing you today to even want to argue about this one."

Tam begins to groom him, carefully cleaning his fur, ignoring the cub's squirms. He is trying to remove the scent of blood which is more than a little disturbing to him.

Tam merely holds him in place with a firm paw until he is satisfied that he has gotten him clean. "There," he says finally. "Now you don't look like something the cat drug in...."
