Tam snorts softly through his nose. "Actually I really am not sure, though I've got a few ideas. You said we'd need a form of energy based magic. I suspect ye meant a form of energy that can be easily released. That would imply one of several forms... elemental, death, blood, and last but not least,..." Tam sighs. "sexual..." He looks up at the cat and shakes his head. "Two of those I would not touch even on the pain of death. There are other energy form in magic... heck all magic is based in one form of energy or another... but most of the others are slow to draw on and take an immense amount of time and effort to work properly."

Tam sighs slightly and rolls over to face him. "Just because I don't normally do magic, doesn't mean I don't understand how it works. I live in a magical shell, remember. Have to. The Tam most people see is a construct... a very real physical construct... formed from light, but it is a special case. If ye cut it, I feel it. It is very much a part of me. No doubt because I've worn it for so long. But it is a shell, it feels like a shell. The problem with this shape is, it feels a little too real. As if somehow my angelic core has infused it with.... argh... I don't know what. It shouldn't have happened... not like this. How's Kero?"

Tam shakes his head. but he is listening. "The catch is what... that I can only do this with someone I feel strongly about. I already know that catch... which is why it's not going to happen, Hope. There's only one individual who has even gotten that close to me and if he saw me right now, he'd laugh himself silly before telling me I have finally gotten what I deserve. To top all that I won't belittle myself to approach him. Nope... not going to happen. He owes me an apology he refuses to give... an apology not only to me but to a whole lot of individuals, some of which he cannot give it as they are with us no more. And before ye tell me that holding a grudge is probably why I'm still walking this earth... I already know this... It still doesn't matter."

Tam closes his eyes andshakes his head. "Then I'm doomed to remain a cat. trust me, Hope, there is no way I'll go to anyone but me swedh."

Tam's glare sends icy daggers down his spine. "I thought ye would have gotten the message this morning when I shattered your scrying gem... I'm sorry, Hopian... Ye may think I did something but all I did do was send that pretty lady off with a proper suitor. It was for the better that I did and we both know it."

He rolls over and looks away. "Do you understand what a soul mate is?" He asks finally in a soft voice. "A true soul mate."

"Then I'll gather. Sunlight and music are my true energy forms anyway so I'll go out tomorrow and find me a nice warm rock to start storing. That is, if you will stay here with Kero. I'd take him with... but moving him right now is well... stupid."

"And that is putting it lightly." comes Sharmistra's voice from her office. "I'm sorry, Mater Talesian... but I'm afraid I heard the whole exchange. The two of you weren't very secretive, you know." She walks in with a worried expression. "And when you started telling him about how that form feels so real... I started doing a bit of information digging. I was getting no where, but then you said that your human form isn't your true form and it all began to fall into place. May I offer my observations? From a differing point of view."

Sharmistra nods in understanding. "Well, it would help if I knew exactly what Master Talesian's true form was and how or why he got in this predicament in the first place." She looks at him with a small tight grin. "You did promise to tell me about it, if you remember?"

Tam nods glumly. "Yea... I remember... I was kind of hoping you wouldn't though. The few people who know my secrets the better."

Tam glares at him. "Watch it, cat. Ye ferget what I am... I can't lie... can't break a promise... can't kill... not intentionally that is... I cannot harm another... in any way shape or form... not even to save myself... why do you think I refused so adamantly to physically punish Kerobian?"
