YES! finally, a rantbox when i need it.
My rant today: my mom.
She hates Goths. HATES THEM. I bet she'd bash one with a stick (no offense of course) if one got near her. Which by the way, she is refusing to accept the fact that I share too many things in common with Goths to be considered a person that mom wants for a daughter. And what's worse-she constantly disses Goths in front of me. She constantly says that she's not predjudiced, but oh, she is. She says that goths are those biker dudes(maybe SOME are, but it certainly isn't right to make a generalization in this subject!). And then today we started discussing that whole anti military movement of a certain small christian chuch. And she starts mentioning an article that she read about it. Then she says that the Goths/Bikers were th-wait a minute. WAIT ONE. ********. MINUTE! I thought she was gonna say something bad AGAIN, so i cut in and said "What the hell's wrong with Goths showing up at a military funeral?" Then she gets all IN MY FACE! She goes and says "WHY DO YOU ALWAYS ASSUME THAT I'M GONNA SAY SOMETHING BAD ABOUT GOTHS?"

My first rant in the box:
Emos. No, I don't specifically dislike them.
What I dislike, is when they flood my precious GD with those stupid "Why do you hate emos?!" Threads! I've seen about 10 BILLION of them by now, and it's driving me batty! NOBODY CARES!
I can understand one of those threads, maybe an accidental two. But has ANYONE ELSE noticed that these threads are taking over General Discussion?! What is the gaia world coming to?! gonk gonk

Wow, I have a v****a, how observant. Does having a p***s make you stupid?
So, a guy wants to get a crappy little two-stroke engine bike. He says it goes fast and is teh shizz. Wow. It's frigging two-stroke dude. They're a pile of crap. He asks why. It's a TWO-STROKE engine!! duuuh....then he doens't even know the differences in engines....I explain. He gets grumpy because I (who has the audacity to be female) know more about men stuff (pah).
Apparently because I know that two-stroke engines are environmentally un-friendly, have crappy power and are just inferior to four-strokes, I MUST be wrong stare Ha, if he gets it he'll know I'm right when that pile of crap back fires on him and he's stuck in the middle of nowhere up s**t creek biggrin

Okay, I've never ranted in here before, but I think it'll help...
I cannot STAND my twin sister AT ALL! She makes me so frustrated!! Okay, so first of all, she steals my stuff right out of my room (son of a b***h if my room doesn't have a lock and HERS DOES). She acts like my bedroom, my own PERSONAL SPACE is her ******** private free flea market!! She just barges in there and takes whatever she wants and when I go to our mother about it, my sister uses the excuse "She wasn't useing it." and my mother DOES NOTHING ABOUT IT!! She believes my sisters lame excuse time after time and I end up getting a talking to, NOT HER!!
But that's not all, no no. I'm sleeping this morning, minding my own buisness and I hear her waking me up. I allow this because we are supposed to be going ice skating today and I figure I must've slept in. So I roll over to the side of my bed that isn't against a wall and there's my sister WITH HER DIGITAL CAMERA TAKING VIDEO OF ME!!!!! For GOD'S SAKE!!! I can't even wake up in the morning without HER doing SOMETHING to INVADE MY PRIVACY!!! And worse, she put the video on her computer and, for no reason at all, threatened to post the video on the internet for the world to see!!! I deleted it before she could luckily and told my mother and she told me to "Calm Down." Hahaha...Calm down...CALM DOWN??? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO ******** CALM DOWN WHEN THERE'S A GIRL TAKING VIDEO OF ME WAKING UP!!??!!?? Does that seem wrong to anyone else but me? I sleep in a bra and pajama pants because it's so hot in my bedroom. She was going to post that ON THE INTERNET!!! How WRONG is that??? ARGH!!!
*Cough cough...pant* Okay...I think I'm done now...That felt good...

Marketplace inflation has gotten WAY out of control ever since the price guides were moved out of the exchange. It's insane and just plain stupid. I feel sorry for anyone actually attempting to quest for these items now.
Before you say it, I am fully aware and understand the concept of supply and demand. This is different though, this isn't a slow and steady rise in prices because there are more people on gaia who want items then there are items, it's just out and out extorssion. People are being greedy little nit-wits and not willing to budge an inch in their lust for gold.
Those people who are trying to quest for large items are pretty much SOL since things seem to keep going up a few k every day or two. Soon it's going to be nigh impossible for anyone who doesn't sink real money into the site to even get ahold of sealed envelopes, much less older donation items. ~_~ It's out and out ridiculous and insane.
Why is this happening? Sheer greed.
Why don't people stop it? Because those who have the power to do so, don't have the desire to do so since they benifit from these ludicrist price hikes.
I'm getting fed up with it all really, sad but true. I'm fed up with how greedy and selfish everyone is about their items, and every time I see a thread in the exchange that states they won't even consider going below market pricing (not even a 100 gold break or something) I feel a bit sick.
Why is this kind of maliciousness running rampant on gaia and why can't anything be done to stop it?

Maybe ranting will help.
"My Ex-Best Friend: Serene"
We're fine one day, and the next day, I don't think I even recognize her anymore. I like this guy called Brandon and I used to tell her everything, so naturally I told her. She was all encouraging and supportive about me 'cause I had this HUGE crush on him.
Her exact words: "Go for it! Ask him out or something. If you don't, you'll regret it."
She seemed so nice about it and about my feelings for him. Well, pretty soon, Brandon and I started dating and that's when all that s**t started. She started coming up to me and bitching at me. "Why are you going out with Brandon?! Don't you ******** care about my feelings? You knew I cared about him for so long? What kind of ******** friend are you?!"
I was TOTALLY shocked.
In my mind, I was thinking: "She NEVER said a word about this to me. I never knew she liked Brandon too and she was totally spazzing out at me about it. She was edging me on to date him and then she SUDDENLY changes her mind."
She started hanging out with those "SKINNY BLONDES" who always go to the mall, buy a million pair of shoes, and giggle a lot. She even dyed her hair platinum blonde to be like them.
I knew her since grade 2 and we were so inseperable. But now, all that has changed and she even talks behind my back and makes fun of my "gothic-ness".
She would say: "Look at her black hair and her makeup. She's such a slut, whore, b***h..."
AND THE LIST GOES ON.
What have I done to deserve this crap from her? She was once a "goth" too and now she became one of those ignorant girls.
I HATE HER SO MUCH NOW AND I ******** FEEL LIKE s**t BECAUSE OF HER! OHEMGEE, WE WERE BEST OF FRIENDS FOR SO MANY ******** YEARS AND NOW WE DON'T TALK AND SHE BITCHES ABOUT ME TO HER "NEW" FRIENDS. I FEEL LIKE I'M CRAMMED INSIDE A COFFIN WITH A ROTTING CORPSE BECAUSE OF HER.

Another rant so soon? It's not really a rant. More of silent muttering in a dark corner.
I just had two of my friends over at my house for about an hour. Luckily, no one but me was home, because I would have gotten killed.
After coming into my room, Friend A takes over my computer and starts looking for porn. After realizing I had no porn on my computer, she tries looking some up. I had to seriously pull the plug out from my computer to stop her.
While this is happening, Friend B decides to go through all my drawers- looking for one that had my underwear in it.
Through the entire hour there, they went through all my stuff, raided my kitchen, and even broke a braclet I told Friend A not to mess with because it was barely held together. She decides to mess with the very part of the bracelet I told her not to.
To convince them not to mess with stuff, and to get them out of my house before I got caught, I had to threaten them with a knife. I even had to go so far as to hit them with the blunt end of the knife.
I refuse to let anyone at my house, ever again.

Today my mom went in my room and took my boots all my chain pants, eyeliner, nailpolish, spikes, and just about anything else "gothy". evil She is making me wear a pink dress with frills to a wedding today! I CANT TAKE IT!! eek gonk And the shoes...White with a little bow on them are muderous!!

Although she may notice a few of her own favorite things missing...Of course she went straight to me when she couldnt find them...I simply told her when she returns the rest of my things i will return hers.
