Uhm... what kind? Just a regular computer microphone, that's all. ^-^ They might have different types, like ones that sit on your desk, or ones that have a headset... just pick whichever one you like better. :3 I have a headset kind, but...
I don't have a laptop, but check on the side to see if it has a little outlet that has a microphone symbol next to it. If it does, then yes.
Uhm... I downloaded this program today so I could record. x3 It's free and it works just fine if you have Windows. :3
