BlackJack1995 *waves back* Hello! Ugh, seriously for some reason trying to decide what classes I want to be is somehow the hardest thing ever. Curse my indecisive nature! crying Yeah, it can be kinda overwhelming. Keep in mind that you get a free respec, so you're not stuck if you don't like something. What were you looking at to start with?

Well I've decided I want to be a Hojo. Other than that the main thing I've decided is that I want one of the classes to be Bloodline because I think it would be a tone of fun to try to make a custom Keystone in the future. For the second class, I'm kind of stuck between Genjutsu and Bukijutsu. The Phantom Slayer style is the main one I want to use, but you need Genjutsu class to use it at its best. I guess I'm just worried if I did that I'd end up being weak at Bukijutsu for not choosing the class and weak at Genjutsu despite choosing the class because there's probably a lot of Uchiha around since they're so popular and I assume for some reason that they're annoyingly resistant to it.

I'll post in sumika's office tomorrow!
We should get a Mockingbird post Monday, and Brooy's internet should be back around then so we can get that mission going soon. c:

If you're only really interested in one style then I would go Genjutsu first and only worry about Bukijutsu later if you get to the end game stuff. Most of the power of Bukijutsu and Taijutsu classes are in their ability to reduce the amount of resources they spend on their techniques, not outright power, and as such they kinda need to be the focal point of your build to get the most out of them. If you choose Bukijutsu or Taijutsu as one of your first two classes, especially paired with Bloodline, then you should be doing primarily taijutsu. Plus, there are numerous ways to mitigate a stats disadvantage temporarily and depending on how you use them you could still be very effective - albeit not as efficient. Take my RPC Coda, she's a bloodline specialist, but still quite effective in a close range fight because of what her jutsu does (Yozen and Ignition combo). Also Keystones are super powerful, I'm sure you could justify something that would strengthen your genjutsu even against Uchiha. You don't even really need a keystone for that. One of Coda's customs is a zone that applies blindness and simply draws on the same concept as the partial toad summons from the show using her contract with the bats.

Oh thanks that's actually some really good information! I was worried at first about having a stats disadvantage if I chose Genjutsu since I want to use a few Tai/Buki styles but really not that many and I'd rather not limit myself to having to focus so hard on them. After you reminded me about ways to mitigate that disadvantage I remembered the Hojo is all about buffing and debuffing with that ink of theirs and looked more into Genjutsu to see that Insanity and Mental Stress are actually really cool. Might not need to pick Bukijutsu or Taijutsu class to start off with after all which I'm grateful for.

I've decided to go with a Bloodline/Genjutsu combo. I'm going to try what sounds most fun if less powerful first to see if the combination of the debilitating ink blends from the Hojo clan and the debuffs from Genjutsu, poison, and the Harmonic Death Arts fighting style to see if it's still possible to fight/grapple with the tentacles in close range. If that doesn't work out my backup plan is just to pick the Dual Ancestry discipline instead and throw blood and ink at everyone with the Hojo and Ketsueki clan lol

Were you interested in continuing / shifting focus on the gates stuff to the office? I asked but don’t think I ever got an answer, and Coda’s been in the office for a bit now with no response so I wanted to check and see if you were going to want to post there or if I was waiting around for something that wasn’t going to show up.

I’ll transition shortly, I have about two posts I need to do before I move Mayumi. I did respond but forgot to address that x.X
