Stella saw the jewelry store insignia and gasps, looking at Gage with curious eyes. "Thats it? Thats all your going to tell me?! Now thats hardly fair.." She once again smiled at the waitress and took her plates from her. Sipping her tea and playfully glaring at Gage. A million thoughts ran through her mind as to what the insignia could mean.. Only one in a billion things..

 ɢαɢєGage chuckled and smiled at Stella as he started munching on fries dipped in ranch "Fine." Gage pulled out the bag and tossed a box on the table.. If she were to open it, a ring sat inside it.... ((not the simple band, only the diamond and sapphire one.)) he looked back down at his food and kept eating as he waited to see her reaction, or if she even gave one. "You can open it if you want."

Stella found it hard to swallow the most recent bite of food she had taken. She looked at the box and then at Gage, but didn't reach out to grab it. "I don't want to make you feel like I forced you to show me. I want you to show me on your own time." She slowly pushed the box back toward him, and took a sip of her tea so she wouldn't choke on her food.

Gage smirked and reached across, turning the box and opening it. "Relax, you don't have to answer, you don't have to take anything from it right now... Just know it exists, and is in my thoughts." he shrugged and looked at the open box before he started in on his burger

Stella looked at the ring inside the box and set her fork down. For fear that if she took another bite she would choke. She reached out and closed the ring box and looked at him. She herself wasn't sure if he was asking or just letting her know his intentions. For the moment she was speechless, watching him eat his burger.

Gage picked up the box and set it back in the bag as he looked over at her "Please breathe Stella, I'm letting you know I've got the thought in my head... And that I'm serious about you..." He continued eating after smiling at her

Stella had actually forgotten to breath so she took a few deep breaths and picked up her fork again. "I'm sorry. I just guess I didn't suspect that you were serious about us." She took a bite of her salad and chewed it slowly. The gears turning in her head as she thought of how it was all going to go down.. When it did that is.

Gage shook his head and shrugged "Did you expect me to just love and leave you?" he stopped eating, looking up at her with one eyebrow arched as he waited to hear an answer... Did she really think that low of him... That he could do that to her?

"No.. Its not that I thought that. I just wasn't sure if you were at the level that you are stating. I mean... I wasn't sure if you were ready for a bigger commitment then we already have to each other." She looked at him and felt bad for what she had said earlier. It had obviously seemed to upset him a little. It hadn't occurred to her that that would.. Potentially hurt his feelings.

Stella looked at Gage and bit her lip gently. So she was right. At least he was being honest with it. She finished her salad and pushed the plate away from her, taking a bigger drink from her tea and leaning back a bit in the seat. She didn't know what to say, it was all a little confusing. So instead she sat quietly and waiting for him to finish his meal, obviously lost in thought.

Gage pushed his meal away and paid their tab before he stood, picking up the bags. He glanced at Stella and took a deep breath "This is kinda why I wanted to leave it until later, but at the same time, I could have lied to you about it, couldn't I? And wouldn't that be far worse?"

Stella stood up and walked out with Gage, checking to make sure her hair was alright. "No. I'm glad you told me. Otherwise I might of freaked out and been rash. I just graduated high school, I am not at that level yet either." She smiled a genuine smile and took his hand in hers. "Don't worry." She leaned close to him and kissed his cheek softly.

Gage looked down at Stella and sighed. "Sorry for seeming so pissy, it's just... I know you aren't there yet, I know I'm not there yet, which means we sure as hell aren't... But I want you to know that you aren't some fling to me.." he shrugged one shoulder and sighed again, looking up at the clouds that were threatening rain above them

Stella felt his mood drop, seeming to match the clouds that were now looming over head. "Your not mad at me are you...?" She looked up at him with wide eyes. Hopefully the cloud didn't open up on them, if her shirt got when it would be see through. Not that she thought Gage would mind but it was his to see not anyone who may be in the town at the time.
