Sora talks trash about the snail, which has a brain to underdeveloped to even magically be affected by it. Colbertron, on the other hand turns its pulpy brain against it, with the stare of a TV host he pumps magic right into the giant gastropod. The cracks on its shell glow with eldritch power and the whole thing suddenly bursts, turning the creature from a snail to a de-facto slug. it doesn't seem happy, but then it's hard to judge snail emotion.
During all this the rabbits are eerily still, then the mole surfaces, again on its knoll of safety, and out of Van's reach. A few more noises, and the last few creatures in the grove again go bonkers, however this time it is all clearly centered on the local warden. The rabbits stab, the once-snail clubs, and then the rabbits stab again. The assault is sudden and relentless, bringing Van very near the brink of his existence, but abating just before he truly becomes one with nature. The mole looks very smug.
((Van takes an double-crit beating for 34 damage, putting him at -17 life, by my count, and just barely missing out on killing him outright.
Van, death save. Fawks, avenge him!
