Tam pulls him close and curls about him, sheltering him in his wings. "Hope could ye find me a blanket for him, please." he asks nuzzling the cub's face. "Shh, Kero. rest. I'm right here. I'll keep you warm, you'll see."

*Hopian soon returns with a blanket from the cottage, a very-warm one...apparently he held it before a fire before bringing it...Kero snuggles into it immediately, relaxing in the warmth*

"Shh..." whispers Tam, laying his head down beside the cub's "You need to rest, little one. And don't worry. I'm going to stay right here, nothing and I mean nothing is going to chase me away."

If you think anything but death could get me to leave Kero's bedside, Tammy, yer nuts...he's my brother and my best friend...besides...Salunia would never forgive me if anything happened to him...

"Good, that makes two of us. Mica... I'll leave Sharmistra to you. She's probably drained. She used her connection to Lathander to heal Kero injury. No doubt she is going to wake up starved and more than a bit testy."
"Starved.. yes." comes a voice from the other bed. "But testy... never... I AM never ever testy." grumbles the healer as she lifts herself up on one arm. "Is he ok? Did it work?"

Never testy, eh? And just what do you call that? And Kero will be fine...he just has to recover....I swear...he seems more accident prone than me...and I'm as erratic and impulsive as my power source, so that's saying something!

Tam nods. "I agree. The likelihood of anyone landing on a shattered bit of ancient sword in the middle of a pasture is mind boggling slim in this region. Leave it to Kero to find one."

Honestly, though....the real danger will be tetanus...once he recovers his energy...my blood will refuel him...he just needs the night...do you have tetanus vaccine, Shar? Or must I procure some?

Shar nods. "Aye, I have it. This is a farming region. Injuries are quite common here that involve deep punctures and tears. I will wait until he awakens though. But didn't he have the shot as an infant?"

No....he didn't.....not to my knowledge anyways....and before you scold...miners are usually resistant to such diseases....I merely think we should, as a precaution against such a large wound...

She nods and starts to close her eyes then suddenly she sits up with a start. "Wait a minute... I knew I know that voice..." and she stares at Tam for several long moments. "Naw... it can't be..." she whispers and collapses back to the bed.
"Ye know... this could be funny...'cept it isn't funny at all..." growls Tam indignantly.
She props herself up again and glares at him. "Lathander be praised... it is him. What the heck..."
"Don't ask..." growls Tam testily. "I'll tell ye later... right now I'm bushed." and he yawns widely before closing his eyes and pretending she wasn't there.

"Go away, cat.... ye bother me..." growls Tam without opening his eyes.
Mica chuckles softly and drapes another blanket over Tam shoulders. "Now that is a case of the pot calling the kettle black if ever I heard one." he teases gently.
"One black one here is Kero..." grumbles Tam drifting into a light slumber.

Tam wakes a few hours later and notices Hopian sitting nearby. "Here, ye get some rest. Come by him and I'll sit watch over him fer a bit. Yer looking quite pale fer one so white..." He yawns and sits up, the blanket falling from his back. "Ugh. it's so dang warm in here. But I guess he needs it that way." He moves away from the bed so Hopian can lie down. "Are ye feeling alright? Seriously, Hope, yer as transparent as a sheet."
