Tam moves to the side of his cot and lays a paw on the tiny dark body, pouring all the energy he safely can into the cub. "I'm here, Kero... hang on, kiddo... don't leave me alone... please don't go...."

"I'm working as fast as I can..." snaps Sharmistra reaching for some gut and a needle. She locates the injury and gasps. "Morning Light!" Tears begin to pour down her cheeks. "Hope... I... I can't fix this on me own. And I know not your god or gods... May I?" she begs, looking him deep in the eyes. "I need to call on my lord."

Sharmistra removes her rayed sun symbol and places it on the injury and covering it with her hands prays with all her heart. At first nothing seems to happen, then suddenly Tam's glow flares and the symbol beneath her hands does the same thing. Breathing heavily, her eyes glazed and unfocused, Sharmistra lifts the bloody symbol and removes a jagged piece of metal. Beneath it lays a patch of snow white fur and no sign of the horrendous gash which had been there. She tosses the metal off to one side and checks the rate of the transfusion, then before she can do anything else, she quietly collapses where she stands, sinking silently to the floor.

Tam catches her head before it hits the floor and eases her down. He looks at Hopian and growls. "Can ye handle that on yer own. I know nothing about transfusions."

Tam looks about and locates the shard. It is caked with dirt and buried in layers in rust, but it's shape is undeniably that of a forged weapon, or rather a piece of one. Tam tosses it into a nearby waste basket with a snarl of outrage. "I hate war..." he growls savagely.

Tam snorts angrily. "I was a player in that war for far longer than you and it has never done anyone any good. People die.... good people... bad people... it doesn't matter. And most of them are innocents."

Talesian shakes his great head and moves to Kerobian's side. He is nuzzling the cub's face when a voice from the door catches both their ears.

"When a child of the heavens comes flying in on wings of light, heralding a new age, bearing a child born not of blood, then shall ye gird thy loins and prepare to go forth in my name."

Mica comes walking in with a sad smile. "And here I thought I would spend my final years here, in peaceful seclusion. Teaches me to mock the oracle's visions."

"Yet slumber ye do not... Hopian. In truth... tell me, how many of the twelve lie bound... one... two... are do ye all stir..." growls Tam testily. He nudges Sharmistra and sighs. "Mica, she needs to be moved and since all the others have fled... might ye give me a hand."

Mica smiles at Hopian. "And yet the battle will commence, in ever growing waves, until it washes over all creation, drowning all beneath it's deluge. I know my dogma, Hopian. As I am certain does Talesian. Forgive me, I fear I overheard your argument and before you berate him further, I must remind you whom you are speaking to. For the five came before the twelve, though but two remain to lead us on. He was a witness to the first wave, one that washed across creation long ere your birthing, I fear."

"Stop deifying me, Mica. I'm no god... nor am I a saint. I am nothing more than a confused traveler, lost along the way." growls Tam testily. "All I do know is that if everyone got along, things would be so much better."

"So speaks one born of love to spread love." says Mica calmly.
