Keva tries as Kerobian suggests and the shield waivers for a bit, but doesn't open. Swearing he tries another, "Baa Baa Black Sheep..." but it fails too even more spectacularly than the first. The shield doesn't even fizzle.
"Any more ideas up yer sleeve..." he asks testily. Then he chuckles bitterly. "At least we won't starve... and I know a spot we can den up... but we might get people worrying a bit if we don't make some sort of showing by nightfall. Damn... why does Dad have to be such a stickler for details."

"I'm not a wolf..." grumbles Keva but he tries... and once again it waivers but doesn't fall. "Maybe my accent is off..." he growls testily. He tries again and again it fails... Frustrated, he tells Kero to try... but the result is much the same.

*Kero nods...then gets an idea....he conjures a memory of Amestru talking...and replaces the words with Keva's words...so now they are Okami...and he plays that through his own vocal cords*

Strangely enough... although it sounds just like Amestru, the spell merely repeats it's fizzle act.
Keva suggests they try another rhyme. He sings "Three Men In A Tub" and gets nowhere. Then he tries "Pease Porridge Pot" and again the field waivers.

Well... ye can hear snores from close by, seems he has put several of the forest's inhabitants to sleep, but the field just sits there.
Keva laughs and shakes his head. He tries "Little Bo Peep" and "The Baker Man's Song". It just sits there for the former but once again waivers when he does the last. "Damn, what gives..." he hisses climbing back up onto the rock. "What do those rhymes have in common anyway?"

"'Pease Porridge Hot' isn't about baking... it's about the never empty soup ppot that always used to sit on the side of a fireplace. Ye just kept adding things to it... not quite a stew... not quite a soup... ye never knew what would be in it from one day to the next." grumbles Keva with a sharp bark of laughter. "But hey, maybe ye got something there... "

Keva scratches his ear and then brightens. He sings "Polly Put the Kettle On" and sure enough the shield waivers. "I think we on to something here." says Keva hopefully.

Keva sighs heavily. "There's hundred of them... and a lot have to do with food. That last waiver wasn't a good one though. I wonder if we can weed it down even more. Ye got any suggestions?"

Keva glares at him. "Hey, Dad knows them... by heart and he's no spring puppy ye know. I was hoping for some help here. Now that yer longer looking at me like I'm lunch or anything."
