John nods firmly at Kerobian's approach. "To get back on the horse when once ye've fallen is a difficult thing to do, young cat. I can see we'll make a fairly decent rider of ye yet. Now do ye know why ye fell? Ye leaned to instead of fro... what not?"

John leads the pony back to the barn and helps the cat down. "I've got some liniment ye might need tonight. It smells to high heaven but it will help numb the aches yer probably feeling already. Why don't ye rub her down. Use that towel over there and put her out in the loose box, then join me up at the house. I'll go dig it out fer ye." He walks away leaving the cub standing there with the pony. After a few seconds the pony nudges Kerobian worriedly.

*Kero shakes himself, shoving away the pain, and rubs down the pony, making sure he pays special attention to anywhere he senses pain...once he leads her to the box, he comes towards the house, wincing*

John meets him a the door and leads him to a rough hewn stool before a beautifully carved table. There he's poured a cup of strong medicinal tea. "Drink this now and head on home, youngling, while ye can still move. But before ye sleep tonight, have Mater Talesian rub ye down with this. Iffin ye can get to the baths tomorrow, a long hot soak will help. Agnes has been known to open on a worship day's even, iffin the need is great and well... iffin ye go to her rself, she see ye truly need it."

*Kero starts to nod...then collapses....when John places a hand on his fur, he finds it matted with blood...apparently that fall opened more than a bruise...and Kero's black fur hid it...*
Note: Very easy...we had a student once who cut his head, and his black hair hid it until it dripped into his eyes...he put his hand on his head, and it came away covered...

John shouts for his wife to come give him a hand and he carries the cub to the table, placing him on it with extreme care. They are giving him a careful once over then there is a loud pounding on the door. OPening it, the poor woman screams in horror, for at the door is a white winged lion, who shoves his way pass her without a single word.
"What happened? How is he?" demands Tam in a rush, ignoring how John is slowly reaching for an ancient sword over the fireplace.
Hearing the bard's voice, albeit altered slightly due to his form, John relaxes slightly and shakes his head. "He took a bad fall in the field. Never complained. Climbed right back up and road her back in he did. He never looked too bad... a bit woozy... I was giving him instructions on what to do for the stiffness when suddenly he keeled over."

Tam asks John to help him put the cub on his back and carefully tie him in place. Then going outside he begins to fly to the temple, calling for Hopian as he cuts frantically through the air.

*The lion is there soon...but cannot do anything...and Safira, when she sees him, merely looks away*
There is nothing I can do....my power cannot restore lost blood, and his blood is nearly gone. I can close the gash, but that is it, and it would only be a waste of power I might need.
*Now Tam sees why she is often the most reviled of the Gem-Children...she is as cold as her icy magic...and she represents cold reality*

He lands at the temple calling for help. Sharmistra is one of the first on the scene and she carefully lowers the cub down to the ground. "Sir Lion..." she tells Tam not knowing who it is she is speaking to. "I fear he is almost gone. Without a transfusion... "
Tam whirls on her. "Transfusion..." he cries frantically. "Use my blood... trust me, it will work."

"Come inside then... to the clinic. This needs to be done in a controlled environment. Keep pressure on that injury..." she shouts at an aide as they go to move the cub.

Inside the clinic, Tam begins to glow as he paces off to one side, frantic with worry. Soon there is no need of lamps as he is illuminating the entire room quite nicely.
