Luna puts her clawed hands over her ears and cringes. "Agwo, stowp it... " she moans, crouching down by Asu.

Agro finds himself gently snatched out of the air and tickled by Mr. Parguntin, then released. "Now Now, Agro." Says the teacher, "It's not singing time just yet. We'll see what the big ball tells us to do today, okay? Now, let's get inside. After all, it is a little chilly out here.
And so the five mundanes, three boys and two girls, and the four magicals, one elvish boy, two dragons, and a kitty, tramped inside, following Parguntin to his fun classroom, leaving their parents behind for the very first time in some of their lives.
Sitting on the floor, Mr. Parguntin circles them around himself, smiling at them as he has Wortecain (Wort for short) take the ball and flip it into the air. It flies up, landing on...

three.
"Math time!" Cries Mr. Parguntin, getting up and going to the chalkboard eagerly. As an elf, he wasn't good with Mathematics until Amestru had showed him how useful they could be a few years before he started teaching. They were still one of his favorite subjects.
Telling the students to get into their desks, which have been labeled with the name tags he had shown them yesterday, to indicate where they sat, he stands and waits for them to get in order.
"Hey, look at the little pussycat" jeers Billy, under his breath. "She's so scared...I bet she's gonna cry later today. Cry for her Mommy, Boo Hoo." Chuckling, he takes a seat next to his chortling friend Joe. These two were fast shaping up to be the bullies of the classroom, that was sure.

As Agro heard the small meatbag that was billy he was slightly angered, only Agro could pick on his sisters so in the blink of an eye just as billy sat down he found that he landed straight on the flood he chair 2 feet behind him. Before Billy could see who did it Agro was rifling through his desk looking for a pencil

Asuna turned hir attention to billy and extended hir extremely sharp claws and took a blank piece of paper and slowly sliced it showing just how sharp they were. Still not aware that shi had a foster mother yet shi gowled and mouthed "I don't have a mommy you dumb excuse for a child" Seems the DNA modification had produced a small side effect of multiple personalities. Shi then turned and looked for hir desk and sat at it

Luna examined her desk with interest. Sure enough, there was her name, LUNA, written on a colorful card taped to the top of the desk. It was a rather short desk, like Agro's and Asu's, and didn't have a chair like the humanoids' did; but it did have a colorful cushion to sit on while she did her work.

"AGRO!" comes a clapping voice, that of an angry teacher. "Come right up here and move your name to yellow. You may think you were unseen, but I saw you. Sit in the corner until I tell you to come out. We do not fight in my classroom. If there is a problem, you tell me before you try and solve it. Do I make myself clear?"

Luna watched her brother move his marker and sighed. Daddy was going to be unhappy, but she hadn't been watching so she didn't know what he had been up to. Still Asu seemed upset and so was he, and that made her wonder what was going on. Sitting down at her desk she looked around the room, examining each of the students closely. Did one of them try to hurt Agro?

Finally, after a few minutes of observing the class, Mr. Par lets Agro out, and after the dragon returns to his seat, he moves to the Chalkboard, smiling at the class.
"Now, who here can count? Raise your hands."

Shi looked at mr. P for a moment. Shi was never taught to count. Hir attention went back to Billy. Hir mind was one tracked now. Shi wanted to keep an eye on him

Luna eyed Asu worriedly. Her sister wasn't paying attention. Slowly she snaked her hand into the air. She could count, up to one hundred, sort of. She didn't know how the numbers looked but she could count. Trying hard to listen to Mr. Pargutin, she also kept her eye on Asu. Something was wrong here. She could sense it, but what?
