She sips at the water thoughtfully, then nods slowly in return. "Aye... You have the gist of it. I... I find myself torn, dulcha. I... I love you.... so very very much, and I find it amazing you find me desirable. It tends to wipe me clear off my feet. But there are a few things about it that bother me...

"I'm not a prude. I know that you and I truly do not share a bond of blood, therefore it isn't incest or anything like that. But we do share emotional bonds, ones we've nutured between us for many years now... and right now I need to be your parent... and I... I find I can't do both correctly." she says staring down at her paws. A tear slides down her cheek, quickly followed by another. "And... and then there's Bez... He's out there... I know he is... somewhere... And you have Tes waiting for you."

She looks up at him and smiles weakly. "Ye called me a whimp once... guess yer right. But I don't want to hurt them, either of them."

Kero comes and nuzzles her, licking her head.

"Sira, I desire you more than you could ever know. I love the time we get to spend together very much. I do understand where you are coming from, and we both know that it must end in time. But why not take today for what it is? Carpe Diem was a lesson you taught me. Seize the day, sira. It's what we have to do, even with out long lives. You are a fine parent, and a wonderful lover. I have nothing more to ask of you than those, and you do them admirably.

She nuzzles him back and sighs. "Ye always were the more pragmatic of the two of us... even before all this." She edges to one side so he can lie down beside her and chuckles bitterly. "I on the other hand tend to look at the whole picture... and I'd know how'd I feel if it was happening to me... I guess you could say I come by these two green eyes of mine honestly...."

She looks at him, then begins to giggle, which quickly evolves into full blown laughter. "Ye got me..." she sniggers in amusement, nuzzling him fondly.

Kero laughs hard as well, nuzzling back. He really does love her. Their physicality is nothing but the ultimate expression of that love.

"I love you, Sira. And that's the long and short of things."

She finishes off her water then curls up against him with a sleepy sigh. "I'm going to regret this in the morning... I see a hang over on the horizon..." Yawning she closes her eyes and quite literally crashes, falling asleep so fast Kero has to laugh.

In all the years they had been together he had seen Tam drunk but once or twice. Each time had been after something terrible had happened and the bard had resorted to drink to erase the memory or soothe the pain. This time had been a far more joyous occassion. He looked down at the lioness face and realized it seemed fuller. healthier than it had in ages. Their relationship might be troubling her a bit, but it was also doing her a great deal of good. And with that tought in mind he curled protectively around her, adding his own rumbling snore to her softer less abrasive one.

Smiling, Kero nuzzles her in his sleep as their dreams weave together, holding them close as they romp and play as a pair of cubbies.

In their dreams he sprouts a pair of wings and they play a rough game of tag and seek in the clouds. Kero soon finds himself at a disadvantage as he stands out against the snowy whiteness, but Ai shows him how to find shadows amid the billows and places to hide. Come morning, he awakens exhausted, as though the games had been real, and perhaps they had been on some level as they two of them are covers with a touch of misty wetness. He quickly calls to Thryion to dry them off and finds himself face to face with a grumpy white lioness.

"Not so loud... please..." she moans burying her head between her paws.

Kero laughs, and gently goes and brings a bowl of water for the lioness before setting up a hot bath for her.

"Best cure in the world," He says, softly, "is to soak up hot steam, warm water, and a cold drink. You're really dehydrated, and that's why you hurt so much."

**Completely true, and the only proven cure**

She shudders and laps listlessly at the water. "Ugh... heat... just the thought of it makes my stomach churn... " she grumbles softly, but she really doesn't argue. She has lived long enough to know that the so-called cures were rarely anything but. Kero's method worked, somewhat... but only time and burning off the alcohol she had ingested would truly help. Still anything that would help speed the process would be appreciated.

((It does help. The main symptoms are actually caused by dehydration, not Alcohol poisoning. Flushing the body with water can heal many of them, including the nausea))

Kero gently lets her be, going and making a cup of tea to help speed the recovery along as well, plus one for himself, simply because he wanted some hot tea.

**Oh I know it works... but it's not a dyed in the wool 100% cure... and she didn't have enough to worry about poisons in her system... but she is a snow lion. Heat to her is to be enjoyed in small doses**

She follows him into the kitchen and climbs up onto a bench, smiling weakly as she realizes what he's up to. "Now that's something I can stomach... use the leaf that's in the red bag, dulcha... it has soothing properties and is known to help with a throbbing head as well." she suggests as he pulls down the tea chest.

He does just that, putting in enough of the herb to fix up a headache and soothe down a ruffled lioness. He gently brings her her cupbowl.

She nuzzles him fondly then nibbles on his chin. "Hard to kiss like this, dulcha... teeth get in the way, but my head hurts too much to do any shifting right now... will you take a rain check?"
