"He says that Lisaya say a lot my world on the dragon's back and it's nice becuase it puts a damp on everyone's magic." Dark Vaati muttered. "He also says even if he was human, he's useless. I can't take him there simply because Rugen will kill everyone!" He sounded excited, perhaps too excited. "Can't you make your people rebel? You would have more of a chance if you weren't the only mage."

Arious raised an eyebrow. "That is interesting... a dampen on your magic? I wonder how much mine would dampen if I went." He rested his chin on his fingers in thought.
Helios shook his mane. "I wish I could. But I am afraid that they wouldn't help much. Most of them work in the mines... I have no connection with them hardly... Lisaya was the one that cared for the affairs of the people. She always sent food to them and such. She is the only reason that they haven't rebelled against me. Besides they are all cowards who would never even try to defy a mage like him. They have seen him destroy villages and such... They would get on their knees and kiss his a** if it meant that he would leave them alone. There is no hope in them. I shall have to do it myself... "

"We should play hide and seek there." Dark Vaati smirked and turned to Helios. "If you went yourself, he would kill you, no? How would you fair if you had some of Lisaya's magic?" Dark Vaati asked, suddenly remembering how Lisaya helped Vaati. He didn't think he used her magic, not all of it at least.

"That sounds.. interesting.." He smiled then remembered the undead. "Oh HELL no! Not with those things there!!!"
He hadn't thought about that. "We did have roughly about the same amount... I would be very useful then... But I do not see how you could get her magic..." He then thought for a second. What he really needed is someone's power like Arious. He had plenty of magic to waste.. but he needed that to get Silver back...

"Lisaya didn't want you to know this but since it's kind of important, Lisaya lent half her magic to Vaati. Not to mention he's slowly recovering his own magic. And there's mine too. Vaati's perfectly happy here, and his hat has oodles of magic for him to constantly regain. Burrow his."

Arious retorted fast. "Tell me how! I must know!"
Helios was mad that Lisaya didn't tell him... cause he knew that he hated it when she gave away magic... it took forever for it to regenerate. "Hmmm....With Lisaya's magic... and possibly the hat and Vaati's, we have hope." Helios grinned, or what looked like a horse smile. "However... you could always come with... therefore I wouldn't have to steal yours... but how should we go about getting the rest of the magic? I have only talked to Vaati once... I think... I have never even talked to the hat... only felt it's power."

"I didn't mean the talking hat. He has magic, but he's like you, unable to use it." Dark Vaati muttered. "The hat that looks like mine, the one on his head, it's the source for all his magic. He wouldn't let the hat go; since he could lose his human form, but have you ever thought to ask? And this has little to do with me, so I'm not eager to go."
Dark Vaati turned his attention towards Arious. "If you have an instrument, there's a song. Maybe the talking hat can teach you. But once you play it, it paralyzes all the Redeads long enough for you to kill it."

Arious pulled at the stubble on his face. "A song eh? I was never musically inclined... but I could learn... I have a small piccalo that Lisaya gave me... but I never picked up the thing once in my lifetime..."
Helios shook his head. "Ah... I thought you had meant the green hat... But if Vaati's magic does come from his hat... what are the chances do you think of him letting me borrow it? I don't want to stoop as low as stealing from him... I don't need any enemies... But I shall ask him... But I still don't see as how we can get Lisaya's magic back from him... without him giving it up easily... I assume I have to ask for that too?" Helios wasn't the social type and he didn't like the idea period of asking for help. "You would lend me your magic... wouldn't you? You wouldn't have to be dragged there in that case..." He neighed with a evil tone to it, but he was only joking about the dragging part. He glanced outside and fidgeted a little. He estimated less than an hour until sunset.

"From what I remembered, Vaati wanted her to take it back. I don't think he wants it,I don't see why he won't let you take it. As for the hat, I don't think he'll give that up but you're free to my magic." Dark Vaati muttered taking out a mask and tossed it at Arious.

Arious glared. "I am not musically challenged... If I wanted to, I could be good at it..."
Helios sighed. "Alright.. I do appreciate your help. But I shall have to ask Vaati for his help to give LIsaya's magic to me. What do I do with the mask though?" He stared at it. The odd thing lay at his feet staring at him.

"It's for Arious so he can hide from the undead, seeing how he hasn't touched an instrument." Dark Vaati said with a smirk. "It's funny really. They aren't even that scary. But with this mask..." Dark Vaati used his foot to slide it to Arious' feet. "They won't notice you're there."

Arious picked up the mask and immediately his eyes opened wide. "This has a very... strange power to it... What happens when I put it on?" Arious looked at it and tried to decipher its mysterious power but he couldn't understand it all...
"Interesting... Does it by any chance do what I think it does?" Helios almost laughed at the thought of Arious transforming. "That would be a sight to see." Helios wondered if his magic had even begun to refill and was glad when he felt a a trickle of energy flowing through him. Unlike Lisaya, his energy recuperated faster than hers. Then he saddened at the thought of her. "Damn him... I can't wait to rip him to shreds..." Especially after betraying me!

"Spot on, Helios, spot on." Dark Vaati smirked again. The masked resembled that of a ReDead itself, or at least the mask they wore. Dark Vaati grabbed the mask and placed it on Arious' face, keeping his hand there to hold it in place.

Arious flailed his arms as he felt a burning sensation through his body. the mask seemed to grip his face as he screamed. He felt the foreign magic flooding his veins and burning every inch of his blood. Arious tried to rip the mask off but his whole body was numb. He fell to the ground clutching his staff. "I... Will... Kill.. you... for... this..." He grunted as he fell over in a faint.
Helios shivered as he stared at Arious. He was changed... He looked like a corpse that had been dried out in the sun... however... it had the same look as Arious... the reddish brown hair...the tallness... and what looked like violet swirls outlined his body. "That is interesting... and cruel... but indeed, entertaining!" Helios padded up to Arious and bit his foot. "Ha he may look like a corpse, but he still smells like flowers...." The body moved under Helios muzzled and sat up.
"What the... what did you do to me? I feel... weird!" Arious tried to stand up, but his speed was gone and he felt very slow... and old... "Damn you... where did that mask go?!" Arious was about to say something else when he saw the state of his skin... "What in the.. I.. LOOK like I am a dead body!" He gasped and stared at himself... He didn't know whether to study the new form of magic, or kill Dark Vaati.. both seemed like good ideas.

"Huh, I'm surprised you can even talk, quite honestly. I'd help you up, but I'm afraid I would break your arm off." Dark Vaati's face was in a sneer, obviously highly amused. "Remember how I said the ReDeads wouldn't even see you? It's simply because you are one!" He laughed at this, all the sanity leaving him quickly.
