"didn't think so." says Tam with a wide yawn. He pads over to where she is hiding and noses her out towards Hopian. "Go easy on her, Hope. Her momma is going to tan her hide so she doesn't need it coming from both parents... But maybe, once she's a bit older, she can come for a few days... she'll need to earn the privilege though, so I'll leave it up to you." He sits down in front of Hopian and laughs. "And maybe by the time she does get to come... I'll get this shape right..."

He squirms a bit and sighs. "Kero look at me shoulders... don't tell me... feathers sprouting... right?"

Tam sighs with relief as his wings finally materialize. "I hate when they do that." he grumbles testily. Actually he is rather beautiful, with wings that match his fur, iridescent white, with a hint of all colors in them, causing the shadows in his fur and feathers to fade from one color to the next.

"Ye do that. We have something to work out, remember?" warns Tam with a grin. He stretches out by the fire and sighs. "Tired... shifting shape takes a lot out of me..."

"His holiest days involve the equinoxes, though they also lay claim to the solstices as well. But it is the equinoxes that are most important. There is one coming up, too."

Tam closes his eyes once again and tries to get some shuteye.

Tam sits up and shakes his head, looking down at the sleeping cub, wondering why he had set up a tent when they were sleeping outside... and how in the heck can an animal so small snore so loudly. He stretches his wings and shakes them in place, then tries to regain his humanoid form... failing badly.

Tam growls softly and flies off to the falls, where he tries again. And once again he fails. "Is this a joke!" he cries at the stars. "Because I'm not laughing... I can't stay like this. Ye said I could assume any form I wanted... was that a one time event? What?" In frustration he launches himself into the sky, flying aimlessly until he's exhausted himself, then he glides back down to where Kerobian is asleep. With a grunt of self-directed sour humor, he curls up next to the cub and goes to sleep.
