But knowing me, would I ever bring a Pokemon specifically made to just counter one specifc thing? X3 Whatever I brought with Protect would be useful to me regardless. :3

Edit:
You could have type restrictions, or say that only pokemon with their original names starting with "A" can battle in the tourney. Etc.

Perhaps.
So... I'm thinking about making a team devoted to status effects. (Un)Fortunately, many people hate them. It'll be up the wazoo in Toxic, Will-O-Wisps, Hypnosis, Thunder Waves, Infatuations, and Confusions.
Type: Edit restrictions may be interesting, that it would, and Alphabet thing would be fun too, but that may discourage people whose favourites do not fall in the type or alphabet.

Something that might be fun as well, with Diamond and Pearl, is a Physical or a Special tourney. Or perhaps not-fully-evolved Pokemon. Oh, oh! We could have a Petit-Cup-style thing! biggrin

Gaah...! Hacked Pokemon are not cool!
How the hell does one obtain a shiny Metagross, a shiny Gengar, and a shiny Latios? I know that they could've legitimately obtained said Pokemon, but the chances are so rare - especially for Latios. x.x

My favorite pokemon is Vulpix (because it's cute. I'm shallow,) and my favorite type is psychic. Goin' all the way back to the Red/Blue days. X3;
Though my favorite in this latest gen is shaping up to be Luxray.

Right now my favourite Pokemon has to be Absol. He's just so cute and pretty (I'm shallow too, Nova).
As for my favourite type, I enjoy Ghosts and Darks the most.

 ~sighs~ So, I've had Diamond for a few weeks now, but I haven't been able to connect to Nintendo Wifi at all. I read that that's how I'm supposed to obtain my friend code, so can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
As of now, my favorite Pokemon is Latias. I love that cute red dragon <3 My favorite type has always been dragons, so that is still my favorite until further notice. Though, I gotta say that flying type Pokemon are pretty cool too.
My favorite latest gen is definitely Riolu and Lucario X3 Those two are so adorable!

Well, when I try to search an access point, it says that my internet's security settings are not supported my the DS =/
Edit.: I also believe that my home internet connection is DSL.
