John let out a sigh, before walking to the door. Placing his hand on the door nob, "If your alive, you have to the count of three to speak up or step away from the door. Unless told otherwise, we will asume hostile and attack accordingly... one...two..."

John flings the door open. Behind it appears to be utter blackness until it shifts and you realize that you are looking at the largest spider you have ever seen. It's web fills the doorway and the hall behind it from what you can see, and it gazes back at you, red eyes almost glowing in the sudden light.  [Everyone Roll Init]
