" Agreed." Laguna stated, raising her glass for a moment before taking another sip. She then heard a voice outcry at the Doctor's words...it was the girl. Laguna had forgotten about her. As she heard the doctor explain his feelings, Laguna nodded, looking over at the young mage. " See, it's not the children. It's the world around us, always threatening to destroy what we create. That's the problem." Laguna stated. She felt more at ease now than she had hours ago, her anger towards other all but forgotten, and her hunger calming as the blood she drank restored her energy. And here she was, next to a good looking, albeit unavaliable, man as they talked about their problems over a few drinks. Laguna knew it was the Doctor's kitchen, but at that moment it felt like a decent bar. And to her, it wasn't a bad feeling.

She stared at him for a little while longer, silent as he spoke. Her shaking subsided marginally, rage slowly being replaced with sadness and a little of her trademark fear. The gleam in his eye hadn't escaped her notice, and she steeled herself in case he were to try anything, but she couldn't help but feel ashamed at her outburst. It was not in her place to ask something so personal, nor cast judgment upon someone who had only recently helped her. "I..." she began, letting her gaze finally drop to the floor, "I am sorry, sir...I guess...I was just jealous of the two of you."

Someone approached the alley, looking into finding something snazzy in the famous dumpster of Pete. The poor soul was hardly in reach before a large, and quite frightening, canine was growling at them. But that was probably not the part they would cry themselves to sleep over for days to come. Because suddenly, someone inside the dumpster banged on it loudly. "Puppy... SIT." And very well, the hound sat itself down in a flash. And just as the person thought that the coast was clear, a living corpse stood up in the dumpster. "Sorry, he's wary of strangers..." With a screech, said stranger went running out the alley. "Rude..." Orrin gave a sour look out the alley, before leaning down to flick the dog's ear. "Thought I told you to behave. You know you scare people when you do that. We scare people..."With a sigh, he crawled out of the dumpster, even filthier than before. Though the dog wasn't picky, and came jumping up on him, as happy as ever. "No. DOWN. I'm not in the mood... Where were you anyway? I thought you were supposed to keep me out of trouble... Or get me into it? Nevermind..." He leaned down and gave Puppy a quick petting, realising that he too had been cleaner when they last met. What's wrong with us? The suddenly quite annoyed zombie looked around. Where would they go now? After all the eating and sleeping, he was as healthy as he ever got, which was indeed a rare occurance. Even his pulse had sped up a tad, and he was slightly warmer to the touch, though it was hardly of any notice. But with his mind properly in place, the green guy wasn't a very happy fellow anymore. He sighed again. I should probably give the Doc an apology... I'm sure he's worried, having someone like me roaming the streets. And that car of his... Wait. Did I really call him Herbie? Oh, for crying out loud... Snapping his fingers, Orrin went back into the tunnel. "Come one Pup, we've got friends to talk to. Then we need to go find my stuff..." The zombie could only hope that he'd left his other clothes in a better state. Or else he'd have to do... Laundry. The very thought made him shudder.

"With your remarkable abilities, you have little to be jealous of my dear. Especially not of petty tragedies. It would seem everyone here has something special. I am not in the habit of harvesting testicles, but if you wish a family, I'm sure I could come across some." He probably should have spoke of his children more gently. It was an honest answer, but he should have found a way to come off as less 'holier than thou' and less of her being crucified for a simple question. "Perhaps an easier method of starting one would be in forming ties with those around you? You seem like a safe, nice person. Shouldn't be hard for you with all these 'anons' running about."Silenda seemed different than the surgeon. People around him just seemed to have a habit of dying, one way or another. He gave himself one last pour of the scotch before capping and putting it on the table away from him. Since it was his counter, he was currently sitting on it as opposed to standing around. Sciurus merely gave Laguna a nod. Agreeing with him wouldn't keep him from cutting someone open, and the empathy of others would only be another way of manipulating them. The surgeon had stuffed his empathetic side in a box long ago. But given what she had taught him about succubi... and given what she could do to him if he even tried, he had no reason to cut her up now.

"These abilities only mock. Stealing another's creation for my gain, while I cannot create for myself," she said, her voice growing a bit faint, "and even that sort of solution would have no use, I would have no use..." Her arms unconsciously crossed in front of her, the bowl set aside on the counter. She slid down onto the floor, her knees pulled to her chest. She was tired, too much energy had been expended in the past day than had been in a long while. Eyes slowly closing, she allowed herself to drift off into a light sleep.

That Green Gentleman Anon {/Laughs off the chair at the image of Orrin popping up and scaring the heck outta somebody/} Voyager grumbled to himself as he wandered through the tunnels. Ain't my fault if ya scared the poor guy away... He would've liked to stay, if only to make sure Sciurus didn't slaughter anyone, but did kinda feel guilty about leaving poor Orrin alone. His rocks were silent for once, not that they would have been of much help anyway. Voyager's skills were in finding places, not people. Orrin could be halfway to another city by now, and all Voyager could do was have the night off until Doc decided to yell at him properly. He understood Sciurus' concern at least. People didn't react well to zombies, even here when all sorts of creatures showed up. But in terms of eating people, that's just something zombies did. Orrin had probably eaten people long before doc had met him, and would probably continue to as long as he wanted. But if Orrin apparently didn't like eating people, then what was everyone so worried about? "Zombies can take care of themselves man... Bet the dude will come back whenever he's sure you're not gonna stab him again." Voyager muttered.

*E3 Begins today!!! Who else is excited!?* Laguna noticed Sciurus put away the scotch. Seemed like everything was turning out alright...except that she hadn't found Xashowd. She decided it might be a good idea to resume her search. She poured some more of the rum into her frozen shot glass then capped it. Taking one last large swig, she started thawing the glass, drinking the rum she'd made it out of. Once it was gone, Laguna picked up the bottle, hopped off her chair, and walked over to the cabinet where the alcohol was stocked, placing the Rum back where she'd found it. As she walked back over to the stool she'd made, she heard the girl's personal lament, and looked over as the young mage fell asleep. She frowned. Now that's just Bull. Everyone has a use, something they're good at. Even Thieves aren't ashamed of their talents. Laguna thought, only not saying it aloud because the girl was sleeping. Laguna didn't know much of the mage's skill, but given the amount of books she carried and the net she'd pulled out of one, it was safe to say the mage could take objects from the stories in a book. The only question was, could she take objects from the same book more than once? Laguna shrugged, figuring that mystery was best saved for another day. She walked over to the counter, grabbing the blood pack she'd opened, using her powers to keep any of it from spilling out. " Well, it's been fun Dr. Sciurus, but it's about time I resumed my search. Thanks for the drink and the conversation. Maybe next time we'll meet on better terms." Laguna stated, walking out the kitchen door. She left the frozen stool there, thinking the doc might like an extra seat in his kitchen, and headed out to the halls once more. This time...this time she'd find him. Perhaps it was time to head back to the first signatures she'd sensed...those two in that closet. Whether they were still there was anyone's guess, but it was worth a shot.

Sciurus frowned at her being upset. After everything he had seen and done, he didn't believe there was such a thing as fairness, but the world was still screwed up. The universe banned someone from creating family and things that would give them joy, yet at the same time had bestowed the ability on a monster like him and seemed to enjoy destroying whatever he created. There was probably more to the story about that, but for a moment he wished their roles were reversed. Selinda would probably be a wonderful mother, happily raising her own little clan and excelling at it. All he really would need was an isolated lair somewhere, with just his surgery to keep him busy. Maybe also Voyager to keep him company and help him kidnap people. The surgeon studied her as she slept, wondering if he should move her to a proper bed/couch or just get blankets. The floor was clean enough to operate on, but it looked none too comfortable, and some people deserved more comfort than most. "... Well good night then. My apologies"

(I feel sort of bad for the poor person rofl ) Why was he doing this again? Why, in the name of all that is sacred, did he get himself involved with another doctor? There had been nothing but bad outcomes of such friendships, all which would make the scalpel incident pale away in comparison. And the last one had been far from sunshine and rainbows... Actually, Sciurus reminded him slightly of that guy, though far kinder. Then again, he hadn''t seemed so diabolical at first either... It'll be fine. I'll just get back there, say sorry and thank you and goodbye and all that. Then I'll take my leave. No problem. Besides, nothing bad can happen now anyway... It'll be fine It was true that in this state there was no risk of him turning murderous. Though his mood brought out a whole other problem. While he would normally never hurt anyone by free will, at the time being, he was easily annoyed, and might turn violent. But at least he wouldn't go as far as to bite anyone. Except that one time...The end of the tunnel... And Orrin could even see the light from the Doc's home come bursting through. Hesitating, he set down and pet Puppy. At least the mutt helped to keep his mood up a tad, though no on else seemed very fond of him, which Orrin never truly understood. Even in this clear state, he seemed like any ordinary dog to him. Though that might be because the rabid hound always behaved a lot better around his green friend. There he sat for a while, building up courage for the probably awkward moment ahead. How can I explain my actions when I no longer understand them myself...?

Sciurus gave her a polite nod. Seemed like things were winding down, perhaps he would get back to his forgotten rounds. "Certainly. I am equally in your debt for the education. I wish you luck in fin-" He was interrupted suddenly by a loud beep, followed by a cool, female disembodied voice, "Doctor Sciurus, two two nine one, Doctor Sciurus, two two nine one." Now would probably be when he'd regret the scotch. Too bad. Sciurus glanced up at the hospital page, growling under his breath, "Who's mess am I cleaning up now?" He wanted to wish Laguna luck in finding her friends, but the woman had already gone. The surgeon spared a glance at Silenda. He didn't have a choice on ignoring the page, but he did find a cover and pillow from the closet for the young woman. He gently folded the blanket around her and left the pillow next to her. His next errand was writing a note for her or Voyager on the table in case someone looked for him. Called away by the Disaster Goddess to come to someone's rescue. May also give them a stupid-ectomy if I find them deserving. estimated time unknown. He signed it with the current time. The scotch must have freed some of his morbid humor, because 'Disaster Goddess' was what Voyager called the intercom whenever he was paged, and the ectomy part was completely not serious.

That Green Gentleman Anon Having checked one of the dead ends and finding nothing, Voyager was now on his way to the other dead end. He passed through a side tunnel mere minutes before Orrin came through the one right next to it. The rocks he carried started whispering among themselves again, but the Plymouth paid them little attention. Coulda sworn I left the guy snoozing down there, maybe he's snoozing in the other tunnel? Hm... I shoulda brought some of that food with me, poor guy's probably ready to eat an army. Do zombies eat each other or themselves if they get too hungry? Voyager was going to have to get Doc to find some books on the subject. He didn't want to offend Orrin by asking in person, especially when he couldn't find them first.

He couldn't sit there any longer. Orrin knew too well that this clear state of mind wouldn't last longer than a couple of days, at the very best. And he had errands to run, notes to go through, plans to make. And he could hardly do any of it down there, now could he? Besides, the voices had gone away, so what kept him? No. It was time. He gave the canine one last petting before standing up, sneaking back into Sciurus living room. Though the light blinded him at first, he soon found that there was no one in sight. He could still feel the food in the kitchen, and though he wasn't in a mood to eat, he was quickly driven towards it, merely by guilt. He didn't have to make so much... Orrin just stared at the pots and pans, drowning in guilt. The scary hound that followed his every movement looked at his friend in confusion. Where were they? Why weren't they eating? And who was that girl on the floor? Puppy began growling, before Orrin even noticed her presence. "Shush. Don't scare her..." The dog grew silent, though he kept a steady and untrusting eye on her. It was that girl from before, wasn't it? He remembered seeing her in the hallway when he was looking for the... No, this was no time to think of unpleasant memories. It was probably a good thing that she was sleeping, though. He could feel a headache coming on, and screaming girls was the last thing he needed, he thought. The Doctor, however, was nowhere in sight. "So, where did he...?" The green man stopped mid-sentence, laying his eyes on the note resting atop the table. Great. This could take forever... He slumped down on a chair with a sigh, still holding on to the note, reading it over and over. Though mostly the last words, 'estimated time unknown'.

That Green Gentleman Anon The floor was loosing it's comfortable feel, rather quickly. The cold seeping in from under the blanket the doctor had placed on her before he left. She slowly opened her eyes, reluctant to move from the spot, but knowing she would hurt worse later if she stayed there. Waking up a bit more, she could hear the sound of...panting? Was there an animal in here with her now? She glanced around to see where it was, and spotted it next to a familiar face. Though she was generally shocked at the manged appearance of both the dog...coyote...thing, and Orrin, she was still glad to see that he was safe, and looking a lot better than the last time she had seen him. "M-morning Mr. Orrin," she somewhat joked, smiling shyly at him from underneath the blanket.

Puppy growled at the girl once she spoke, and Orrin turned to bat him over the head, when he saw that she was awake. "Oh. Mornin'... Shut it, Pup." The dog stopped and took a careful step back, eyes still peeled on the girl. Orrin thought of asking what she was doing on the floor, but realised how stupid it would sound, coming from him. "Are you... alright...?", he asked, raising a brow. While he may be used of sleeping in uncomfortable spots, he rarely did see others lie in them so willingly. Was she hurt, maybe? "Oh yeah. You know where he went?" Orrin held out the note for a moment, hoping she'd seen him before he left. He was not in the mood of waiting around, and if he'd known where to look, he'd go after him in a flash. "Kind of need to talk to him..."

That Green Gentleman Anon "Y-yeah...I'm alright now. This happens more often than you would think." she said with a laugh. Getting up to stretch her legs, she took the note from his hand and read it over, wincing slightly at the morbid humor of the doctor. She shook her head, not knowing which room he would have gone off to. "He sounds like he's going to be busy for quite a while, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to go looking for him..." She looked over both him and the canine, "Uh...you might want to wash off a bit though...you look like you've been in a garbage can. I-it is a hospital..."
