Elkand shook his head " That I do not..and I really don't want to find out so lets keep moving." he said and held onto her hand tighter and started to move faster wanting to leave before anything tried to eat them. He continued to make his way through the runs until he found a giant web with a skeleton on it. He stepped back and turned the other way and went deeper into the ruins " Spiders..I think they are giant flesh eating spiders." he said and walked much faster pulling her along. He didn't want to fight the creatures beacuse they were a nuisance and he kind of felt her fear of them.

Larkanna froze at the sight of the humongus spiderweb, her eyes resembling those of a startled deer. She had to force herself to walk when he led them deeper into the ruins. It was bad enough that it was pitch black, but on top of that, there were spiders everywhere and anywhere, just watching and waiting for them to be caught off guard. Sheathing her sword, she leaned against a wall, pulling him next to her. "We're not going to get far if we continue to run around in circles." Inwardly, she felt their magic start to ignite, like a tiny flame that would grow bigger if he added any of his power to it. "A maze defying spell will do the trick..." Closing her eyes, she began to chant in Greek, "Αυτό το λαβύρινθο και να Οι τοίχοι δεν θα με κρατήσει Εφ 'όσον μπορώ να δω Η διαδρομή που κρύβεται από μένα."

Elkand nodded and added his power to the circle however he wasn't chanting like she did. He had no idea why she was but witches were a lot different. He saw one spider jump from its hiding place and advances towards them before it rose up on four legs seemingly about to spit web at them to bind them.

The moment she finished chanting, the added power took effect, completing the spell. Suddenly a bright light flared, as if from her eyes before plunging them back into darkness, except for a glowing chalk line that looked drawn by a practiced hand. Blinking several times to clear her sight, she was about to take his hand again when the spider spit web at them. With her back pressed against the wall, she held out a hand and the web went up in semi-toxic flames and fumes. Coughing a little, she then snapped her fingers and the creature turned to stone. It tipped over and shattered into hundreds of pieces, but also made a loud crashing noise while it was at it. "The others will be nearing soon to wonder why their sibling hasn't returned with a feast." She said, shaking like a leaf in the wind from the fright of the spiders wrath. Pointing down at the chalk path, she said, "As I suspected, she built this purely by symbols and lines. When making a maze, you've always got to put the correct path in between the wall markings before summoning the walls and obstacles. It will lead through the center, like any normal psycotic person would do, where all of the greatest dangers lie in wait."

Elkand looked at Larkanna and smiled " I would have never figured that out had you not preformed whatever spell that was." he said and smiled " So we need to follow the line to the exit before the critters come back?" he asked her and nodded " I would suggest we get moving before they come back." he said and looked around and listened as he heard the sound of hundreds of little legs clicking in the distance " Like now." he said and held out his hand " It would be nice if we went before we were made into little meals for spider babies..and their mother which I am assuming they have." he said and grabbed her hand before he started on the line with her trying to go as fast as he could towards the ends.

Larkanna dashed with him as fast as she could, which was amazing, because though she was thin, she had never been really atheletic. Just as she'd suspected, the correct path led them through the circular maze, which was where the largest spider web that she'd ever seen hung. A spider that was the size of a large cottage was hanging upside-down, waiting for them with hungry jaws opened wide. Larkanna stopped in her tracks, holding back a whimper, and stared into its eight eyes, trapped like a lark looking into the eyes of a cobra.

Elkand stared wide eyes at the giant spider in front of them as he felt her fear and he couldn't help but shake in fear. The other spiders joined their mother. He pulled her closer wrapping his arms around her " L-Larkanna..d-do you think you could a-attempt not to be scared..I feel it and its freaking me out now." he said but his feelings would have made her feel worse too.

Larkanna's heart was racing and her mind was drawing blanks with every attempt of a full thought. Suddenly, a flare of power errupted within her. She was released from her fear as the necklace in which Wyrm had once been attached to glowed, sending many of the spiders cower with fear. "Wyrm is watching over us right now..." She stepped forward, away from his somewhat comforting embrace. The mother spider darted towards them with a screech that resembled a human woman's in severe pain. Every good sense within the witch's body evaporated as she shifted into a red-tailed hawk. "They'll follow after me. Turn invisible and run the rest of the way. I'll be right behind you." She said knowingly before her vocal chords became those of a hawk. Spreading her wings, she took into the air, darting just under the upside-down mother spider's head right after ripping out one of eight eyes, confusing her and sending her into an angry rampage. Dodging between the spits of web and venom, she managed to take out several more of the monster's eyes.

Elkand was about to protest her idea simply Because it was too dangerous but she was already doing her own thing. He sighed and turned invisible before he ran off leaving her there though he didn't want to as he went the rest of the way. Once at the door on the other end he just waited and listened for any signs. It was dangerous taking on all those spiders alone but he had faith in her. He was actually glad Wyrm was still watching somehow. He was amazed actually since Wyrm no doubt had to find a way to deal with Lujei, Elkands mother. He just leaned against the wall and waited though he was ready to try and save her if he sensed she needed it.

Larkanna took out all of the mother spider's eyes except for one, because she'd nearly been pierced by the infuriated creature's stinger and feared that if she tried again, there would be nothing left of her except a pile of feathers. Landing on the ground, just before thousands of tinier spiders tried to swarm her, she shifted into a leopard and dashed through the rest of the maze after Elkand. Entering the tiny inlet where the exit was, she shifted back into her human form with a sigh of relief and wince of pain. She leaned against the door, her hair cascading around her shaking body, "My fear of spiders... has been relinquished."

Elkand nodded " I'm just glad yuor alright." he said and grabbed her hand before he opened the door but they were over taken by a bright light and were suddenly transported to a higher level in the tower. They landed on their feet on a long bridge over a giant river of flesh eating creatures. He looked around " I've never been here before." he said and looked around " But I can tell we don't wanna fall off." he said. He started to walk along the bridge slowly as it seemed old and ready to break with on false step.

"Why on earth would she... nevermind." Larkanna said before following close behind him, using every ounce of willpower and balance that she possessed to keep her from tripping over her own two feet or falling through the many cracked and fragile boards. "Perhaps our levitation spell might save us from an unfortunate, and not to mention painful, death?" She asked as she gazed down at the malicious creatures begging for Fate to make their dinners fall swiftly to their hungry jaws.

Elkand shrugged as he was just as clueless as she was. He continued to gently make his way over the old bridge. He looked back at her " Just Maybe." he said and tried to focus his magic but found that it wouldn't focus " I can't seem to focus my magic now." he told her wondering if she had the same problem and that was when he heard a loud roar in the distance as the bridge began to shake. He looked around " By demons teeth, what was that?" he asked himself before he heard it again and looked around before he saw something ominous that seemed to blend in with the mountains before he heard the roar again and a giant pair of ruined wings spread before the figure took off in a flash and flew over them " Was that a dragon?" he asked hoping she knew as he froze in place afraid to move.

"Damnit!" Just then the dragon took into action. Larkanna watched in horror as the ruined wings spread and the creature took into the air faster than the eye could see. "I... I believe it was..." She said more in awe than fear or confusion. She hadn't gotten a very good look at it, so she had no idea what its coloring was or what type of dragon it might be. "How on earth did she get a dragon to take place during such an event?" Either she bribed it or forced it to bend to her will... Her mind replied for her. "And knowing her, she'd find one that was not friendly towards magical folk." Taking his hand again, she gracefully stepped in front of him and began to lead the way, doing her best to move more slowly and secretly, not wanting to bring attention to themselves.

Elkand sighed " However it is she continued to do it, I really wish she wasn't able to." he said. He knew his mothers odd nature would cause any creature even a dragon to fear her but to bend to her will was new. He felt Larkanna grab his hand and start to lead him through quietly. He looked down into the creatures eyes and could easily see their desperate hunger. He held tighter as they went along this seemingly never ending bridge. He began to focus on just feeling calm and making it towards the end with his partner when something large and long jumped over them and landed in the sea of creatures sending a few of them towards Larkanna. Elkand swatted them away. before they could bite her. He stared " I don't wanna know what that is." he admitted out loud voicing his fear of the leviathan like flesh eater. He looked towards the end of the bridge which he did not see. He felt like he should apologize to Larkanna for his step-mothers trickery and for her imagination. He didn't warn her about how far it could go but in all honesty he did not expect this.
