Helios stopped and thought for a moment. "Orange... I don't think I know-" He stopped suddenly remembering someone. "I can only name one man I know with a color magic that is orange. But he is no concern of Silver's or Lisaya's! He has no connection to anyone of us here except me. Besides... the man is a loyal sorcerer of mine. He is my head mage in my military." Helios glared at the ground. He couldn't think of any reason Rugen wanted to hurt his friends! For god's sake he was his general in war and good friend.
"I guess I did... but.. your eyes?" Arious stared at Vaati when his mouth dropped wide open. "Interesting... did you create the spell yourself?" The fact of a curse blew his mind. He thought it was some kind of new spell Vaati had made up.
Rugen scowled. "Damn... that Shadow creature is spoiling my fun! But the dim witted Helios still thinks I am loyal to him. Good." He laughed evilly as he sat in Helios's throne and continued observing his magic crystal ball. "Now where is that spell dear sweet Silver?"

"If I could make such a spell, I wouldn't be in bed sick, now would I? Think for a change." Vaati muttered in annoyance.
"People change. Anyone has a change to rule your home country, who isn't to say he decided to step it up? Beside, Vaati's eyes are now orange. Isn't that enough to prove to say he doesn't care about you anymore?" Dark Vaati snickered. He could care less about what happened to Vaati, but Helios's reactions were amusing.

Helios bristled. "He wouldn't DARE do such a thing! Vaati is no concern for me, but if he were to even try to take my kingdom... I would..." Helios then realized something. What could he do? He was a horse! He could barely make small spells in this form let alone even think about time travel! Once Silver turned him back into a human, he would be able to kill him in a duel. However.. Silver was asleep..."Why that little...." Helios roared and stomped his hooves.
Arious stared, then it hit him. He remembered a similar curse like this. It was how King Liam died... "Vaati, I think someone has been tapping into your magic... trying to steal it and kill you in the process." He said this in all seriousness.

Rugen scowled. "They are finally catching on I see. No matter... I do not think Vaati shall last much longer.... and that Shadow fellow has to go... he is ruining my name and credibility with Helios!" He glared at the Shadow figure. "How about a little bit of short term memory loss for you? or Amnesia?" He took the crystal and let his magic swirl around it. the orb glowed orange for a second, then turned black. Smiling, he continued. "You shall have to be silenced my friend."

"Thank you, genius. Now can you actually do anything about it?" Vaati muttered he tossed the mirror aside and laid his head on the pillow. Despite his new eye colour, he was tired.
"And if Vaati wasn't curse, he could teach how to control that magic of yours to become hum- wait, what was I talking about again?" Dark Vaati was dazed. Suddenly, he couldn't remember what he was going to say. Something about a curse?

"Your eyes... Seeing as my sister has been knocked out trying to find the ailment to Silver.... I have a hypothesis to believe the same thing might happen to me if I tried to find out what magic is being used on you. It might be possible that these instances are connected. However, now that I think about about it, since your eyes turned orange, there is a possibility that your enemy is a mage with an orange gift. But alas... I don't know anyone with a gift that color..." Arious thought, trying to think of anything that might help.
Helios jerked a little. "You were saying something about... Shadow magic... Are you alright? You might also be affected by the curse you know...If Rugen were to go against me... then he would want to probably keep you out of the picture by silencing you." Helios paced his stall. He was angry, but he wasn't sure of the facts. There was no way for him to even confirm his suspicions on the Count.

Silver was drifting, it looked like shadow had enveloped her. Where am I? She thought as she tried to open her eyes. But they refused to obey. She was held still as she laid there, she didn't feel any surface, it felt like she was floating. Her heart began to race wondering what was going on. 'The spell, on how to change Helios back. Give it to me...' a voice said in her head. "What? NO! No way!" She shouted. In real life she was starting to struggle, her eyes tightening. "GO AWAY LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE!" A voice shouted in Rugen's head. There was a sudden blast of Silver blue magic as he was shot backwards. Silvers eyes snapped open she was breathing heavily. As if she had run a long distances. Her body was shaking as she looked and saw Lisaya. "L-Lisaya..." She muttered with a cracked voice. A man with Orange Yellow eyes, she saw him staring at her. He was looking at her intensely as if he had never seen another begin. Her mind was reeling. I need to let this exhaustion fade...I need...Arious. She thought as she gently put Lisaya to the side. She stood up and stumbled.
Opal watched as it cooked. "He...it's hard to explain really, I guess you could say I trust him better than anyone else. I can approach him without caution." She said as she pulled out her wind boomerang suddenly and pricked her finger wincing and let a drop of blood into the potion. It suddenly swirled and was light blue. She picked it up and put it in a bottle. "We've lingered too long Elzo, we have to make it back! Quickly!" She said as she put the bottle in her pouch and ran off. The fire behind her burned itself out.

Sora left the graveyard. He didn't sleep, the Skull Kids never slept. Dreams were something he missed most about being human. He went inside the house to see Vaati with orange eyes.
"Vaati... You're eyes... They're the same color as mine..." He laughed. He still had his hood up, but his mask was down and you could see his glowing orange eyes. Then he noticed Vaati's aura was different. It was fading.
Taka was just listening. He was happy to see Sora was back from- wherever he was at. "I'm afraid it's not a laughing matter, Sora. It looks like someone's put a curse on Vaati and Silver."
"Curse or no curse, it's still amusing. Besides, if I know this group, that person won't live to tell the tale." He said, cheerfully. He didn't know why, but he had the premonition that Vaati and Silver would be fine. I guess I just have too much faith. He thought to himself.

"If we can even... find said person..." Vaati muttered, obviously weakening in front of everyone's eyes. "Don't be so darn optimistic." Then he suddenly fainted. His breathing was inaudible and his chest didn't appear to be moving until one got closer. From a little distance, Vaati appeared dead.
"Silence me with short term memory loss. Sounds fun. Did you get what I was saying? You probably won't hear it again." Dark Vaati mumbled.

Opal ran in suddenly in all the chaos as she noticed that Vaati was on the ground. She pulled Ezlo off her head and placed him gently on a table and rushed to his side. Please! Please say I'm not to late! She thought anxiously as she pulled put the bottle with trembling fingers.

Oh no... Ezlo thought as he watched Opal. Vaati looked worse now than we they left him; too pale to look alive and sweaty. He couldn't tell if Vaati was even alive from this angle.

Sora still watched Vaati's aura. It was glowing, very dimly, but it was still glowing.
Kaya walked into the room, yawning. "What's going on?" She asked sleepily.
