Laughing, Kero does come forward, giving his foster sister a gentle hug. With family obligations out of the way, he gently sits down next to Agro, explaining to him in a low low undertone just how he was related to Kyara.

Billy and Joe, meanwhile, look to be ignoring Asu's tail, though nobody sees that they have a match in their hands. One that is out and ready to be lit.

Mr. Parguntin, on the other hand, is looking like a child himself, as he pesters Kyara for exactly how she knows Lord Kerobian. It is interesting to the parents...and to Luna...how he always calls him Lord. As if he admires or idolizes the Voidic Mage.

Kya fans her wings and looks concerned. "Asu, dear, is there something in here that tickles your nose? Don't tell me you have allergies? If you do, I could always come over to the classroom and hold our lessons there, but I will need help is carrying things over I'm afraid."

Looking sideways at Mr. Pargutin she grins widely. "How would I know my brother? Let's see... he had ways to somehow toss, launch, tease and practically roast me.... all in a matter of an hour or two... maybe less, if he was feeling frisky." She grins wider as his eyes go round. "Yes... I did say brother... and no your hearing is perfectly fine.... but if you are truly worried about it..." She leans close to a gracefully curved ear and pretends to get ready to shout.

Kero comes back with a smile as Parguntin sets Kya down on the ground. Soon, the lecture is finished, and the school bell rings, signaling the end of the day. Lyssan and Amestru had, as always, decreed the first day to be a short day for everyone, just to get to know each other for the weeks ahead. Plus, they knew any parents that stayed in the lower levels would want to get home to start supper.

Kero, gathering Luna and Agro into his tentacles for the trip home through his Void, opens his arms to Asuna, inviting her to accompany them on the trip.

Kero stops short, seeing the man in a white coat. Now he knows who it is, and now his gaze darkens, his eyes going from darkest green to bright red. He doesn't do anything...yet. Just watches the man, though he feels Asuna tense up unconsciously in his hands and arms.

"And just what does she need an injection for, Doctor?" he asks, calmly, not letting on to his predatory nature just yet. "Surely she cannot be ill or in need of immunizations. M'lady and M'lord would never have allowed such things."

Kero's eyes darken a few shades, now almost the color of blood, as he holds Asuna closer to his chest, letting the sound of his heartbeat reassure her of his presence. She feels, somehow, in her heart, the truth. This is a protector, a dangerous one, yet he will not hurt her.

"Keeps it out of our way? You give a child an unnecessary injection, merely to keep her out of your way? Well, then, that clinches it. Asuna, you're coming with me, just like I promised. You are never going back to that lab again." he says, holding her closer to himself. "And I suggest," he adds, with a glare to the Man In White, "That you stay out of my way, and get out of my way. Do I make myself clear?"

"And yet the Philosopher Janzorius Perjori claims that one's gender is not defined by others, but by oneself. Therefore, Since Asuna acts as a female, she is a female, and should be referred to as a She. As well, to claim ownership of a sentient and sapient being is considered slavery, which is illegal in this realm. Therefore, you have no legal claim, and as I have recently adopted Asuna as my daughter, I am free to transport her to my domicile. Now stand aside, or it will be the worse for you." Kero warns the man, his third and final warning.

"Perhaps you created her, perhaps not, but to own a sapient being is slavery. I am warning you one last time, I will not allow you to take Asuna from me. Stand aside, or you will regret it."

Kero watches him walk, and then does something he never thought he would do. Rearing his head back, he fires a stream of what looks like dirty washwater at the Man In White. Revealed by its scent to be vinegar, it douses the man from head to toe, dyeing his robes a putrid color, a combination of yellow and brown. The scent, though, is what's important...it seems like this potent vinegar will leave its scent for days, no matter how many showers are taken by the scientist.

The onlookers...those parents who had been drawn by the argument, applaud, for the most part...there are a few naysayer, as in any crowd. But the parents heard the scientist, and even the ones who don't believe in magic have to agree with this. They don't know how he did it, but he did right...and that is what one old granny says, stooped over with cane in hand and silver shining in hair.

Smiling, Kero watches the scientist, to see what he will do after his sudden drenching...aside from slip and fall on his a**, which he now proceeds to do.
