Well, there's yer first clue...I grew up on a savannah...Monarch lions use different names.
Let's see....one night, Kero and I set their tails on fire...we crept in just before sunrise, each with a flame gem in our mouths...and the instant the sun rose, we each held them up....and ran...we almost made it into the ground, too...

Our foster father thought we ghad betrayed him....led him purposefully into a Vampiric ambush, though we were both cured by that point...he exiled us....and I flew up...trying to stop him....and he...welll....grab the scruff of my neck.

Quite the opposite...he turned to ice....his voice itself was a blizzard...said that all his majesty's bloodline would forever watch for his aid in vain...and that he would run....let him live...but that he could not forget what he could not forgive...to this day, he still refers to his majesty, my foster father, as "Murderer."

Don't ever harm someone he loves, Talesian...he holds grudges...it's one of his fatal flaws...he remembers everything done to him by another, and he never forgives those who harm his friends...he has never helped that bloodline again...and he never will...

Oh, I'm cured....Kero and I can return each other to life, though the ritual to do so takes time, and a multitude of ingredients...but it can be done...I was never dead...my soul was trapped, in an endless dream...but I was alive, deep within my shell...and Kero broke exile, under pain of his own death, to bring me back...

Tam sighs sadly and then flashes Hopian a thin grin. "And he shouldn't... even I would find it hard to trust him, once he's decided I'm no longer a friend but an enemy. I love him, Hope... but I'm a realist... and I know Kerobian... maybe even more than he knows himself. I've seen into the depths of his soul... I've seen his dedication, his kindness, and his anger... and if there is anything that will bring about his downfall, it is the latter, I'm afraid."
