Tam finally gets his laughter under control and shakes his head. "Naw... me... more likely... Mica wasn't mad... but I had to stop ye and get ye out of there before ye really did something stupid... sorry... wrong word... not stupid... ill advised. Didn't know what kind of protections they have up over there so I felt it best to simply remove ye from the area until things dies down."

*Kero smiles when he sees Hopian...and gasps when the lion transforms, letting his young cub gently to the ground...she is still very young...only a month old, apparently...and cute as a button...her fur is tawny gold...but her eyes are bright purple...flecked with gold...and oddly enough...on her forehead is Kero's crescent...in black...*

Tam kneels d own and extends his hand for the cub to sniff. "She's beautiful, Hope." he says as she creeps close enough for him to scratch her ears.

*Very nervously, the cub licks his fingers....then turns to contemplate Kero...who is looking scared and overjoyed at the same time...meanwhile, Hopian talks to Tam*
Her name is Salunia....after my mother....

Realizing how nervous the cub is, Tam keeps his attentions minimal and lets her set the pace. "Salunia... you are very pretty..." he says with a wink for Hopian. "Kero, come... let her smell you... she needs to get to know you from the scent up..."

*Kero very slowly comes over to her, greeting her in a series of chirps and whistles...she abandons Tam immediately, chirping back at him...Hopian smacks his forehead*
I forgot....Kero speaks D. Miner...in its proper form...no wonder the two are getting along so swimmingly...

Tam laughs and goes to sit back down. "Hope, guess what yer brother did this time? He angled for an upfront and personal visit from Lathander himself, he did... almost got it too."

"Nothing serious..." laughs Tam watching the two cubs get acquainted. "He managed to cast a bardic spell on both Mica and me... as a prank... without setting off too many alarms. I got a good kick in the mental rear though..."

He pulled the same thing on my foster parents once...back when we lived together...he played music so that they danced all through the savannah...they have yet to live it down...

"Well, it was a close thing though... and good I could dispel it as quickly as I did.... casting magic in a god's favored temple... and I suspect this temple is indeed favored or why else did that incense light this morning. I culd see quite clearly there was no spell on that bowl... Anyway... casting magic in a god's favored temple on the vicar is an anathema.... even benign magic... It's just not done."
