Lathander smiles fondly at him and shakes his head. "Then we will simply have to do something about that, won't we?"

**darn... I was hoping you were feeling better. Take care of yourself, you hear. sad **

Lathander thinks for a bit then concentrates his power on the depleted angel.

"Had I known he was so weak to begin with, I would not have sent for him... but he and I have a connection, through the light... as well as through his music. I knew he could not refuse my call, nor would he have wanted to. I also knew he was close at hand. Still, despiter his own depleted condition, he gave all he could to save my people. Indeed, he did even more than that, he cleansed my fane with his freely given sacrifice of energy, power and love. Therefore I believe he should be freed of the burden this world has inflicted upon him. Be free my friend and protector... guardian of all that is precious in my sight. Be free to grow and BE all that you can and should be." Lathander's hand glows slightly and Kero can feel the warmth of his touch pour through the tiny body curled up at his side.

The god rises and smiles down at him. "It will take awhile, he still needs to replenish the energy he's lost, but once he has, he will be healed of the internalized conflict he presently has. I've removed the blocks on his nature, physical and otherwise. Most were self inflicted, but a few were not. Guard him well, Kerobian, until he is strong enough to take up the mantle of Guardian once again. Fair thee well, and tell him, should even he need my aid, he has only to call my name."

Lathander smiles down at him. "Guard him well... for he is precious in my eyes. Love like his is hard to come by." says the Morning Lord as he fades into nothingness.

Kero feels the cub stir at his side and when he looks down, it looks up at him in curiosity, then bats playfully at his nose.

*not exactly, unlike Kero, he'll be growing up rather quickly, once he's gained some of his strength back... but yes he is a cub, very much a cub...*

The tiny white creature squirms away and begins to explore the bed, pouncing on the folds of the tumbled blankets and nearly falling on his head when he strays too close to the edge.

*overnight... he should be his old self by morning, until then, guess who has to babysit Mr. Curiosity...*

The cub looks up at the mention of hunger and mews plaintively. His cries summon a small grey cat, which is quite close to him in size. Seeing Puss, Ai pounces him and sends him into a tumble straight for the edge of the bed, the two of them more intent on wrestling than on survival.

Kero's actions have attracted Ai's attention now and he begins to stalk the much larger lion, growling cutely as he creeps forward, then pounces on his tail. Ouch! Those teeth are sharp.

The cub playfully wrestles with this new fun plaything, until his stomach once again reminds him he's hungry. Then he's off, prowling the blankets, looking for food.

When he turns back he finds the cub staring intently into the small stream and it's population of colorful fish. A tiny paw flashes out and comes up empty. Then in frustration, knowing that fish were food on an instinctive level, the cub jumps in after one sending water flying everywhere.
