Terry was driving back from his little firework show. As he hit a speed bump a mysterious piece of paper shot out of the dashboard and gently lay in his lap. On closer inspection he realised it was a photo and on the back of it, written in faded sharpee ink it said: -Ski Trip-. He kept slowed down a bit and turned it over. It was a picture of him, his wife Evie, and his two sons James and Jeen on their first ever ski trip in Colorado.
Memories hit him like a brick. He remember how cute Jeen looked in his snow cap with the little puff ball on the end. Or how much fun he and Evie had on the lifts and the way down. He almost felt as though it could happen again But he knew they were gone. He had to shoot and kill his whole family after they had become infected. If it wasn't for his squad mates James could have killed him where he stood on that night. Just as he gained sense back into what was happening he swerved barely dodging a street light. Finally he stopped at the barricaded house, watching everyone lay down defenses around the perimeter. He made a quick malfunction check of his MA5B and then hopped onto the ladder. I still have those remote detonation mines in the truck. I should start arming them when the variables in this situation go into their favor.

Christian was still typing on his computer, completely oblivious of the surroundings. "Damn this s**t to the lowest part of Hell. Stupid ******** b*****d is nothing but..." His rants where apparent, his computer search was turning out negative. “There must be a better way to do this….”

Christian stood as he heard Crimson's voice. He descended the stairs with her, quietly whispering as they reached the bottom. "You look nice." He smiled afterwards and then looked around for Nina. "You rang?" He inquired.

Hearing his compliment, she blushed, turning her face to hide it. She mumbled a thanks, before going all the way down, and looking around for Nina.
She never thought he would look at her that way, before she thought he hated her. It happened with her brutal attitude.

"Oh, how very polite of you." Nina said with nod. Her mischievous grin just widened when Thomas had interpreted what she wanted to do. "No no... Just wrap it around the rail closest to the window." She said happily giving the frayed end to Thomas. "What I was going for is... If we see anybody we don't want here or if we see zombies we can make manuelly plug in this end." she said holding up the plug. "Since the whole fire escape is metal the whole thing will conduct. That way it doesn't always have electricity serging through it. So, none of our allies can get hurt." She explained her reasoning. "So... If a friend comes they can get on and come up. No sweat. But if an enemy comes someone quickly runs to the plug point, and plugs this end in." She said holding it up again. "The whole thing conducts the electricity and the little b*stards are fried." She said with a grin. The wire was thick, as thick as a tree branch, one of those wires used in concerts and things. She bent over to a plug point on her wall and laid that end of it next to it for when ever a quick plug-in was needed. "I was originally gonna go for something a little more hi-tech if someone new a thing or two about this kind of thing. But other then that is that a good plan?" She asked, wanting a second opinion on what she thought was an awesome plan. I need to know if I'm over looking something... She thought. "Oh... Nothing big." Nina replied when Thomas asked about her earlier conversation. "Reshion apologized... As he should..." she emphasized. "Then he was telling me about his mother... He had to kill her because she got infected." She said with a shrug. "It's very sad."
That is when Crimson and Christian walked in. "Ah... Just the two I wanted to see." She said with a big welcoming smile. "I was afraid something might have happened to you two." she said jokingly at the amount of time they were absent. "Well, which one of you can cook? I have a different kind of mission for whoever that might be." she said clasping her hands together. She started to explain herself. "There is a lot of unparishable food in this house... But there is parishable kind too." She said sitting down on her bed's edge. "So... We should eat the parishable food before the electricity goes out and it's not good anymore. I need someone to cook some of the meat and other frozen stuff we have in the freezer. I also need the fridge cleared out." She said fiddling with the latches on her gothic combat boots. "I estimate about three days of electricity before the power fails in the New York area. So before then... We are only going to eat things that can go bad." She said with an affirming nod. "Try not to use any canned or unparishable food at all." She added as an afterthought. "So someone will be in charge of cooking for three days. It's a little past dinner time now. Sound good...? Who's up for the task?" She asked with a smile. "Whoever doesn't want to cook can help the boys outside on setting up more defenses." Nina added.

((Two things. One I really have to say that the french is interesting as I can understand a bit. Two what is the fire escape like? It is touching the ground of are the last rungs hanging up high? It it's touching the ground then the electricity wouldn't work.)) Garath conitued wireing the windows. The gloves whrere thick enough it was just anoying trying to bend the wire to tie it to teh walls. He almost needed nails or maybe staples. Like the hard ware type for electiracal wiring. He amnages to do as good a job as he could. Later he would ask Nina if their were any wood staples. He heard some french being spoken upstairs. He was too far away to translate what was said however. It seemed to be very interesting though. He woundered who else knew french here. After he was done he started to head back up stairs.

"Uhm... I can cook... If nobody else want's to I'll be happy to do it. After I'm done with this that is..."
Thomas thought in the back of his head.
Maybe I shouldn't have told them that... The last thing I need is more reason for people to think I'm feminen. Maybe nina will say no, maybe she dosn't want me handeling food after I had just had that encounter with a demon raccoon...

Mizuki was numbed. So much so that he didn't even noticed creature still alive in the room at all. It was odd, because normally he would had noticed the thick, musty smell it gave off. The smell of found food. But the smell of the food itself masked it. A thick curtain of blood and rotting meat that hung in the air like a cloud of intoxicating gas. His stomach gave a pang of hunger so strong that he weakened at the knees and nearly doubled over. Paaaaaaain He wanted to Feeeeeeeeeed. God Damn it! He gripped his gun tightly and pulling his head back, sent it sailing back into the window. Nutting the glass hard, the glass gave resounding crack but did not shatter under the force of impact. He staggered backwards slightly in the darkness, lights popping up in his vision and a sharp pain searing past his temples. But it chased away the hunger. Mizuki gained composure once more just as Kalila and Nicholas placed their lights upon him. Hopefully they had completely missed that little display. Then it happened. Kalila let out something like a scream. Mizuki spun on heel and immediately saw the other creature. Not a second after the thing was getting bullets loaded into its face by Nicholas. Mizuki turned his back on the scene shuddering. The smells. Blood. Sweat. Fear. The sounds, bullets on bone. The wet smacking sound of meat. The cracking of bullets leaving the barrells and then the jangling of the empty shells rolling on the floorboards. It brought back the lust once more. Blood lust. He was so hungry. And the hungrier he got. . . he felt his upper lip curl back to expose his teeth to the window as a familiar wave of Rage hit him. He rested his head on the window again, once more preparing to nut it. He was stopped however when Kalila came up beside him.
He could feel her shaking beside him. Concern flooded from every pore of Mizuki's face, contorting his expression into one of extreme worry as he looked to Kalila, her face illuminated with the ghostly light pouring in from outside. Reluctant to relinquish his grip on his gun he reached out with his upper arm, rubbing it gently against her own in what he hoped would be a comforting way. Once she agreed to his plan he felt slightly better. Though he was still worried about Kalila. He did not vocalise this opinion, but he felt he had more to worry about with Kalila than he did with Nicholas. He had prooven before that he had a sort of natural knack for this sort of thing. He had though outside the box and shown a creative flair when he had taken the original path and adapted it to suit himself rather than strain himself. That's what it was all about. Plus he had that little bit of height edge over Kalila which always helped, though upper body strength was your main asset when it came to Parcore. "Okay." He said with a nod and looked back to check where Nicholas had got too. He spotted him immediately. Nicholas told him about the brain and it seemed to make sense. Mizuki had always taken that for granted due to all the Zombie Games he had played before, it had just been natural to him to make each shot a head shot. When you wanted something dead, you shot them in the head. It's just how it had always seemed to work. Frowning, noting the slight shakiness in Nicholas's voice, he shifted his shotgun to one hand. Letting his flash light slide into his now free hand from where it hung on his wrist, he sone the light over Nicholas's shoulder so as to illuminate his face without all out blinding him. He noticed that Nicholas' pupils were shot with shock. He sighed and let his shot gun fall limply on its strap at his side. He clicked on the safety with one hand, reaching out with the other and gripping Nicholas' shoulder in an encouraging manner. He offered the younger boy a slight grin. "You did good." He said and let go, pulling the board with its nails free of his belt and taking it in both hands. "Now both of you step back a second." He turned his body on the side and gripped the board tightly, bringing it behind his head. He then swung the board round at the window with tremendous force, putting his whole body into the swing.
The board sailed through the air connecting with the glass pane with a deafening Thwack! which spawned into an ear splitting shattering crash as the window svaed under the force of impact. The floor both outside and inside the building were showered with glass shards and Mizuki's hands stung with the reverbreations of the impact. The noise had been so loud, that it had completely drowned out the enterence of the other Crazies. Mizuki was begining to clear out the jagged glass still in place around the frame to make it safer to climb out of when one of them bowled into his back with a force that nearly sent him out of the newly smashed window. Mizuki hit the floor and rolled instantly to the side as it lunged for him again. He looked up and saw its distorted face as it grabbed for him again with amazing speed. He rolled again and his hip hit the switch of his flash light casting him and his assailant into darkness. From then, Instinct took over. In the darkness it would be impossible to tell whose throat it left - but it left Mizuki's. A terrible animalistic screech. The thing that was attacking him fumbled in the darkness. Confused. It had been sure a moment a go that what it was attacking had been food. It had smelled like food and right up until this moment had reaked of delicious panic. But now. It gave off a powerful scent of dominance and agression that was definately a fellow infected. And the noise that had erupted free of those vocal chords was definately something it associated as being another like itself. It did not have time to contemplate anything else. Mizuki had lifted himself into a feral crouch, board still firmly in his grasp. He launched himself at the creature, knees up against his chest, he planted both feet firmly on its chest. It buckled under the force of Mizuki's blow and fell backwards, Mizuki riding the fall through, landing in a squat on top of the creature. Letting out a sort of snarling hiss he brought the board down in a vicious over head swing flat onto the Crazie's face. He turned his own face to avoid the spray getting into his eyes and mouth. Not that it would infect him. No. The other infected knew not to eat their own. It was biological enscripted by the virius that the blood of another infected was spoiled. Gore splatted against the dark clothing on his chest and he got a slight fleck of blood on his cheek but that was it. The more he pounded the less spray came off. He lashed out until the board started to strike the boards behind the mess that remained of the head and picked himself up. He bit his lower lip to stop himself laughing, drugged up, under the sway of the virius. He could sense another Infected. Though half of him desperately wanted to join it in the rampage, the rest of him wanted it dead. He knew that Kalila and Nicholas would take care of that one between them. Instead tilted his head back and roared at the ceiling: "EVERYONE OUT THE WINDOW!" His voice sounded deep and growling, intimidating in the darkness.
It was then that he caught the smell of blood. He went after it in the darkness like a shark through water. His travels ended when he came across David. Mizuki stood so close that their chests pressed togther. He was grinning like a cheshire cat in the darkness, his pupils mere pinpricks. "We best that cut seen too when we get out now shouldn't we David, hmmm?" He purred darkly into Davids ear, patting the side of his head in what otherwise would have been a playful gesture between friends. "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone." And with that he crossed back over the window to check on the progress of the others. His chest was heaving and he was still intoxicated by the lure of bloodlust. Oh how he wanted to act out more. Kill more. Feed. Feed.Feed.Feed. But the better half of Mizuki seemed somewhat in control. He held back on his urges. They would eat in the DIY store. They would eat then. This promise to himself seemed to keep the darker urges at bay. For the moment.

[[dang metzli, that hurt... you used my own line against me, i don't even like that in real life.]] After david and alex had taken care of their infected problem, they stood ready for more, waiting to either be attacked or to be told that all the infected were gone. Mizuki , partly growled out, for everyone to leave through the window, David and alex both stood their ground, back to back. Waiting for all the infected to be destroyed. Then david saw something approaching him, he readied his gun. He saw mizuki running from the shadows toward him, david lowerd his weapon. Mizuki had his chest pressed against david's. Now was david's chance, he focused on trying to feel mizuki's pulse. David looked into mizuki's eyes, his pupils were mostly gone. David heard mizuki say something. Mizuki had an evil growl behind his voice, it sent chills running down david's spine. David laughed in his own mind, he liked how mizuki had used something he had said against him. More then funny, he found the line irratating. David didn't take the line seriously, because david knew that it wasn't all mizuki saying it. The thing that made david worry wasn't any of the things he said or did, even though it was hard to feel behind his heavy breathing, mizuki's heart had only beat once the entire time he was pressed against david. That was unusual for how hard he was breathing. "I guess we will." David said, trying to hide his irratation. David gritted his teeth together trying to relieve some frustration. He also turned the safty on his gun to keep from shooting it in some random direction This kid thinks he's so high and mighty. David thought to himself. David also had some sence of relief, because now he knew for a fact that mizuki was infected. He still wouldn't tell anyone, untill he started threatening their lives, they didn't need to worry. To relieve some of his frustration, he punched the wall. He made a hole in the wall, and he felt the ground shake from his punch. Alex was worried, he saw mizuki go up to his dad. He didn't hear what he said, but he could feel the growling behind his voice. When mizuki walked away, his dad punched the wall. Alex thought to himslef, This isn't good, at this rate dad is going to fight with mizuki... Alex walked over to the window, but his dad just stood in place deep in thought. Alex walked over to his dad and grabbed his hand and pulled him over to the window. His dad walked to the window, but when he got there he went back into his trance like state. His face was completely blank of all emotion and he was looking downward. This worried alex.

((Let the awesome-ness begin!))
Mizuki rubbed Kalila's arm in comforting way. At first she hadn't realized what happened because she just finished a twitch. Then she felt it, but it wasn't a hand so she wasn't sure if she was feeling it at all. She actually looked and then finally acepted what was happening. I'm going insane from this building... she thought in frustration. Mizuki just did something so nice... she thought with a blush. But the blush wasn't from just from what Mizuki did, it was also because of warmth to her face from being pumped. She was ready for anything, accept comforting things like what Mizuki had just done. It was another reason it didn't register in a mind for a while. Nicholas was aware of Mizuki flashing the light on him, but not completely. His mind was concentrated on his surrounds. He was especially concentrated on this because he knew it was one of his weaknesses. Kalila was all too aware of everything going on around her, but he just really didn't care most of the time. Kalila had told him once way before any of this infected business started, when she was mad, that it would be the death of him. So now, as that line came back to haunt him he focused with all he could. Mizuki placed a hand on his shoulder, grinned, and said an encouraging word or two that seemed just as encouraging as the grip. It was simple, but it had got the job done. Dr. Marshall had said something along the same line and it made him feel equally as good. "Thanks..." Nicholas mumbled with a nod.
As Mizuki told them to back away Kalila and Nicholas did just that. The noise made the siblings cringe and bend over slightly. Nicholas smacked his hands against his ears, his gun falling to his waist, and Kalila hugged her head. She stood in front of her little brother and made a kind of shell of protection around him by habit. All of a sudden, as Kalila looked back up, she saw Mizuki get pummeled by an infected. She let out a screech of her own amongst all th other noises. Her's was the most high pitched and feminine though, making her a dead give-a-way. The light that was given off by Mizuki's flashlight disappeared and Kalila felt like she was on a chain amongst these creatures. Soon after there was a noise so bone-chilling, it was the scariest one she had ever heard in her whole life. It was Mizuki's throught it came out of, but she didn't know that. She spasmed in place before she latched on to her brother and made him stand up from a bent position. "Get to the window and climb... Climb like your life depends on it, because it does." She whispered quickly to him and pushed him towards the window. He stumbled forward at the force of Kalila's push, but Nicholas did not argue. He made his way to the window and jumped on to the sill. He was adrenaline pumped. He made it up easy.
Kalila looked into the darkness and thought Crap... I don't have a light source Just as she thought such, a light came from the window in an awkward angle. But, it got the job done. Thanks Nicholas. She thought gratefully. As that thought finished a figure a little taller than her leaped on her. She toppled backwards towards the ground. As she fell she had unsheathed her katana in a slicing motion. The infected was gashed from right hip to left temple. Her katana was bloody this time. It had been attempting to bite her at the same time, thus a piece of it's tongue flew off to the side. As she was about to collide with the ground Kalila quickly flipped over till she was on top. The blood that had come from the infected's gash flew back towards it's self. As Kalila made a downward stab, it registered to her that this infected had once been a girl about her age, minus or plus a few years. The katana went through an eye, into the socate, and penetrated the brain. Kalila scurried off the figure, sheathed her bloody Katana, and hugged herself. Her thought weren't in coherent words. It was all fear and shock.
Before Kalila could do something stupid, Mizuki had yelled. It sounded masculine, feral, strong, and intimidating. It should have scared her, but instead she found it soothing. It had stopped her from succumbing to her previous thoughts. Kalila found herself latching to the voice as comfort. She did just as Mizuki commanded. She ran towards the window, but slipped in a puddle of blood on the way. <******** these shoes! Kalila thought. They had almost killed her twice now. She was fully aware she had fell in blood so she closed her eyes and mouth. Her hand came in full contact with the thick blood and she pushed herself off the ground with one swift push off. She quickly wiped the blood off on her dress and she continued running. She left a bloody trail of foot prints behind her from the puddle to the window sill. Quickly jumping up, she looked back. She saw Mizuki and David standing chest to chest in a challenging manner. She didn't care about that situation. All that registered to her is that all three of the people behind her were safe.
She climbed up on the electrical boxes and the part she wasn't tall enough for Nicholas pulled her up with a jerk. She was up. Ah... At least she makes up for that with upper body strength. He thought with all the humor he could muster. She was strong and built like a fighter. She had strong shoulders and arms. But not gross, she still looked feminine. Especially her curviness and she was stronger in the lower body than upper body, like all females. It's gonna save her one day... he thought ironically. He had heard everything, the bangs, the screams, the splashing... everthing. But he saw very little. He saw his older sister trip and it nearly gave him a heart attack because he thought something was chasing her. But Kalila made it and she was safe. She was near tears now and looking back at the window waiting for the other three to come out. He hugged her to him, the way she always did, and petted her head. You b*st*rds better come out... We're too close. He thought bitterly as he looked off in a direction and could see the DIY store.
