Books eh? I used to read a lot , but not so much now, The last book I read was The Lovely Bones. I was'nt crazy about it. I loved The Strange Incident of the Dog in the Nightime.

Oh , if you ever come across them , The ROVER series by Roddy Doyle , Irish writer. Kid's books , short , absolutely hilarious for any age.

you'll like it because....I do? xd and you like Anne Rice and Laurell K Hamilton. xp

and I've never heard of Kushiel's Dart..who wrote it and what's it about??
XDDDD
Very good reasons! XD

There's no way in hell to explain the book..but if you won't be offended by the following you're good:
-Fantasy
-Religion stuff?
-Sex
meh, you should be good for the first book. XDDD

I've heard of her. fantasy..hmm...depends on the fantasy. I don't like really strong fantasy novels..in fact..the only fantasy books I like are Terry Pratchetts (which aren't really proper fantasy to be honest) and Stan Nicholls who wrote books from an orcs point of view. I think fantasy gets repetitive.
religion stuff i like alot...the da vinci code all the way lol
sex...well I prefer books that don't have it in but one or 2 scenes i can put up with..I'll just skip the pages lol. if it's anything like laurell k hamilton...or sherrilyn kenyon then i'll pass sweatdrop xp

there were a few fantasy books that I used to really like written by Simon R Green. he wrote the Deathstalker series which were sci-fi and I didn't like. but he wrote some about a man and woman who worked together...they were gory fantasy and they were great, except there are a couple I haven't read and I can't find them anywhere...I can't even find the ones I have read...I wouldn't mind reading them again since I can't remember them much sweatdrop

haha ok I won't read it xp

and if you like gothic books with sex in then they are THE books to read. Personally, they aren't for me. They're buffyish. and they have originality and some good fight scenes and gothic humour. But, the main plot is about a couple falling in love or just basically sex. There are many sex scenes wink sweatdrop

x.x
But it's reallly really really really good.
xp

Mehness.
.-.
I don't read the Laurell K books just for the sex.
XDD
I read them for the smartassness and teh fighting..and teh awesome vampires.
and well...I have no excuse for Kushiel's Dart.

I loved the Hamilton books at the start of the series. they were witty and Anita was a great strong character who was quite admriable for her courage. It was even tolerable when she had a crush on Jean-Claude and Edward. it just got too much for me and really spoiled the books when she had sex with jean claude. after that, sex was in it so much with different characters it just put me off completely...that and the seriousness of the wolf pack and things she was involved in..just too serious for me

I completely agree with you.
Isn't it just so sad?!

lol it is. I was hooked at the beginning of the series and now it's just spoiled sweatdrop sad and I'm really struggling to find an author to read. my library had very few horror novels. I found an author I liked, not horror but murder mystery, and the guy is great, except he's only written 2 books so far xd sweatdrop I need someone who's wrote a few so I can start reading them. Cause it's hard to find good books sweatdrop I've been through so many that claim to be like the da vinci code and they're no way as good, apart from one, The Last Templar. that was great.

I can't remember who it's by, but it was similar to the da vinci code. it's a best seller over here at the moment. It was good. more fast paced and better written than the da vinci code, but the idea was the same. It's all about uncovering the lie behind christianity, and some priest guy actually admits it 3nodding

So, I've been reading Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. I've never read any of his other stuff, and I'm only halfway through the book.
It's the book I'm doing for my English class...pretty easy if you ask me..
xDDD
Right, the book is..not too bad so far but like I said I'm only halfway through it..
Have any of you guys read it?
