[Briskpaw nodded as his father spoke to him. He was right, he had much more time to think about his relationship with Amberpaw. I mean, he was still an apprentice! Maybe it wasn't exactly his time now but in the near future, Amberpaw and him could possibly be with each other. And instead of seeing her as that annoying apprentice that always hung around the nursery, he'd see her as much more then that.]
"Maybe when this entire thing is over, and Amberpaw is better I could actually talk to her about it. Just, clear things up."[He admitted. On the inside, the apprentice sort of wished he could have that conversation with her now. But if he tried to talk to her, Amberpaw would hurt herself again like she did earlier. Amberpaw had tried talking, and even tried to touch Briskpaw with her paw, but began yowling louder then any other cat in the process. Obviously, this conversation was a long way ahead of him.]
[Watching his father get a bit uneasy, Briskpaw began searching around for the cause. He ended up finding a bloody rogue, right next to Thunderflight. Why was he so.. Bloody. And in camp? Bloody and in camp at the same time? Maybe he was hurt. Still, the brown tabby watched the rogue closely. In no way would Briskpaw let this rogue hurt anyone. Especially not Amberpaw. I mean, considering her condition she wouldn't be able to defend herself. Briskpaw would have to do the defending for her.]

Her other paw soon followed, entering gently as small rings began to form. Moonblaze lost her train of thought as she stared down at her reflection. The cat that looked back at her was a sleep deprived face belonging to a white she-cat, her pale blue eyes dull with exhaustion and pain. Her clan was forced here, from a terrible earthquake bestowed upon them not to long ago. The she-cat recalled the terrible disaster reluctantly, the images of quaking forest floor and the screams of horrified cats echoing inside her head like a resonating nightmare. It was terrible. She was glad to have been unharmed. The clan needed every healer they had.
Moonblaze had found herself cleaning her blood matted paws, she had just finished tending to the last of the injured StormClan cats, (NPC) Lustregaze, or, at least she thought was the last. The silver tabby tom grinned sheepishly towards Moonblaze as she gave him a wary look, the tom was always one for being anything but “careful”. He hurried away after promising the young medicine-cat that he would stay safe, before meeting up with a golden and white tabby queen, the well-known (NPC) Dawnthistle, his mother and his beige furred father, (NPC) Wheatear. The she-cat sighed, watching as her former apprentice, Fadinghorizon, finished tending to her cats. The duo had thankfully been warned by Moonblaze’s former mentor, Starpelt, of the danger, leaving the alarmed cats enough time to gather much of the herbs, with the help of fellow clanmates, before scrambling towards the lakeshore. The snowy she-cat was frightened, like everyone else, but found it within herself to stay calm for the sake of her clan. How would StormClan find safety if their own healers were running around, panicked like terrified mice.
Before her thoughts could wander else were, she could here the distant cried of her fellow clan mates, namely Burrpelt and Featherheart. Alarm shot through the fatigued healer like a bolt of lightning.
Somecat was hurt…
….and it did not sound good.
Hastily, Moonblaze gathered the packets of herbs around her, before turning towards Fadinghorizon. The ginger she-cat returned her look of alarm with one of her own as she too gathered the herbs around her before hurrying towards Moonblaze. The pallid medicine-cat silently ordered Fadinghorizon to gather as much as they could and meet her where the frantic calls had resounded from. The pretty healer turned from her spot at the lake, preparing to take off when something stopped her. Frozen, Moonblaze’s eyes widened. A faint whisper danced through out her mind, a familiar and comforting voice, willing her to…to…get…something…get…Rush? Moonblaze’s reaction was a frown, why would she be willed to pick some Rush? It wasn’t good for much besides mending…broken bones… Her pretty narrowed eyes widened considerably, in realization. If she was not mistaken, that was Starpelt’s voice. Her mentor was telling her to get what was needed to treat…a broken bone? Not questioning it further, the medicine-cat forced her numb paws towards a clump of healthy Rush, the tall green stalks swaying in a soft breeze as she tore a few clumps from the ground, sending a quick prayer of thanks to StarClan for providing this particular area of the lake with plenty of Rush. Following this, Moonblaze again gathered her herbs together, wrapping it all in a large leaf of Beech, before rushing towards the scene. The urgent meows grew louder as she neared; slightly making out the streaming tail of Fadinghorizon, who awkwardly carried as many herbs as she could carry, to where the injured cat lay. As fast as her legs would take her, Moonblaze swiftly entered the scene after her fellow medicine-cat. ”Sorry we’re late! We were finishing tending to the rest of th-“ Moonblaze froze as she took in the area before her. The sight that greeted her wasn’t exactly welcoming.
Blood. It was all over the place. While it wasn’t in massive pools, droplets that ranged in size lay scattered, a relatively menacing one lay beneath a scraggly mass of dark fur. Her nose unconsciously wrinkled from the smell of an outsider, obviously coming from the black stranger that lay before her. This cat was no member of a clan. Perhaps he was a rogue or loner. Moonblaze tilted her head to the side in question, wondering who the foreigner was before shaking those thoughts away. There was no time to start perplexing anything at the moment, there were…two cats injured. Her gaze quickly traveled to the body that lay nearby, in a patch of fresh moss…Amberpaw. Appalled, Moonblaze padded towards the limp she-cat’s side, quickly identifying the injuries about the apprentice’s ragged tabby pelt. She wasn’t pleased with the results. Raising her head towards the crowd of cats, Moonblaze spotted her former apprentice who already began analyzing the deep gashes, bruises, and cuts on the scarred rouge nearby. Fadinghorizon only offered her a small smile, but her forest green eyes betrayed her with a look of uncertainty and worry. She watched as Fadinghorizon began to speak, shakily, but her voice began to build strength as she mewed. ”Unless you are injured, please leave. We can’t work with all of you here. Please don’t worry, we will try our best. Just go and help out while we take care of things here. Please?” Fadinghorizon was never one for demanding, but she was very close to just yelling for all of the owl eyes cats to leave. Moonblaze prided in the fact that her clan mate had a slight edge to her voice, Moonblaze was glad for her potency. Moonblaze watched the small group of whispering clan mates disband awkwardly, she gave her best friend, Thunderflight, an understanding smile, her crystal eyes knowing. "It's no problem Thunderflight. We have enough herbs to treat them both...I hope. It's thanks to StarClan for the early warning, or we wouldn't have had time to gather as many herbs as we have. Not to mention the lakeshore being pretty bountiful too. Thankyou for what you've done, and don't worry, I would never turn away any cat. Even this stranger." Moonblaze stepped forward, giving her raven colored friend a tender, full of affection, lick to the cheek before turning away to her new patients. She spotted Peachpaw, the younger sister of Amberpaw. She hadn't moved from the spot. She gave the pretty apprentice a warm sympathetic smile, allowing the she-cat to stay and possibly comfort her sister. It was good to have someone very close to you while suffering, it made it hurt less. Returning her attention to the victims of the earthquake, she noticed the blood that surrounded the black rogue. That wasn't good, he shouldn't be laying in his own blood. It certainly wasn't anywhere to treat his wounds, let alone get him comfortable. Looking around for a more suitable place, she spotted a make-shift nest nearby. An idea sprouting into mind, Moonblaze turned towards two warriors that passed by. ”(NPC)Riverfang, (NPC)Westshadow. Will you two please carry…Mr. Delgue here to this nest over here? He shouldn’t be resting in that area. Please be very careful. I don’t want his wounds to worsen.” The two warriors looked rather uncomfortable, but knew not to argue with the pretty white she-cat. They reluctantly but gently helped the unfamiliar rogue to his paws before setting him in the soft mossy nest made moments ago by a few apprentices…probably for Amberpaw. It was nice of them, but Moonblaze really didn’t want to risk moving the young apprentice anymore than she had been, it was already dangerous enough that she had been moved twice. The white she-cat nodded as the two warriors who had helped her finished, flicking their tails with acknowledgement before leaving. Moonblaze then padded towards Fadinghorizon, who hovered above Delgue uneasily, the orange she-cat turned to her former mentor, wondering if she should be the one to treat the black rogue. Moonblaze gazed down at the tom, who was now resting in a comfortable nest. She smiled warmly as she began a tender mew. ”Hello my friend, though you are an intruder, you will be treated with kindness while you stay here, and be treated for your injuries. I apologize for anything rude my clanmates have done to you.” The she-cat was very aware of the harsh whispering and stares her clanmates gave the mysterious dark furred tom. She was a certainly displeased by such behavior. But she had no time to complain. Moonblaze flicked her tail towards Fadinghorizon before continuing. ”Fadinghorizon here will treat you for your wounds…please listen to everything she tells you to do and be grateful for her treatment. We are here to help you.” With that, she preceded towards Amberpaw with a final reassuring gaze towards Fadinghorizon as she made her way towards the seemingly lifeless tabby apprentice.
Fadinghorizon sent a silent plea for help to her warrior ancestors before focusing on the stranger below her. She gathered her strength and let out a breath, giving the tom a placid look. ”Please bare with me…Delgue…was it? Please stay still, and don’t move a muscle. I don’t want to risk you opening those deep gashes along your side. I’m sorry if you’re not comfortable with this, but, I’m guessing you want to live, so I suggest you be patient with me.” The orange tabby then pulled apart one of the beech encased herb packets, released various herbs that still held the fresh musky scents of the forest. Cleaning his wounds properly, she followed by placing several clumps of silky cobweb she had recently gathered onto the still bleeding wounds, smiling in satisfactory as the scarlet began to stop. The she-cat carefully began dressing his wounds with delicate paws, applying a fresh poultice of horsetail, marigold, and goldenrod to the various gashes. She then places a few fluffy little burrs onto the recently applied poultice, known as Catchweed, to keep the poultice in place and to avoid the helpful mixture from rubbing off. She didn’t know how long the tom was to stay here, or when he was to leave. Though he may appear ridiculous, it would help in the long run. Finished dressing his injuries, the she-cat finally nodded as she began once more, offering him a poppy seed. ”Would you like a poppyseed for the pain? I finished with your injuries. I can’t allow you to leave for a few days, your wounds were pretty serious and I don’t want you to open them again leaving to soon. You’ll need to rest as much as possible…so you won’t be going anywhere anytime soon, I guess. Sorry. But, it’s better then dying. My name is Fadinghorizon, your Delgue, I’m guessing. Do you need anything else?” The she-cat mewed, her striking green gaze glittering with compassion, trying to get the rogue to get comfortable with some conversation as she glanced over his injuries once more. She was glad he was tended to. Now she could help out Moonblaze, who seemed to be having troubles of her own.
Moonblaze silently craned her neck over the pained apprentice, gently nosing through soft chocolate fur for the injuries. She has a dislocated shoulder…some minor cuts and bruises…and…oh StarClan…a broken leg… Moonblaze concluded half-heartedly, fear striking her heart mercilessly. There was a chance the apprentice would never walk correctly again…or…perish. She could feel slight reassurance from a presence…the slight smell of rosemary and herbs wafted through the air around her…Starpelt. She believed in her. She could do this. She was trained in it. She couldn’t let her clan down. Taking a deep breath, Moonblaze carefully shook a few poppy seeds from its flower, before tilting Amberpaw’s head towards her with a dainty white paw. ”Here you go Amberpaw…relax…but don’t fall asleep…please…you’ll be just find, I won’t let you die. Not if I can do something about it.” Moonblaze whispered softly into the battered she-cat’s ear before placing two poppy seeds onto her paw, watch as the barely conscious apprentice lapped them from her velvet pink paw pad. Nodding with satisfaction as Amberpaw began to relax considerably, Moonblaze carefully placed her front paws onto the awkward front leg, which was probably throbbing with pain. Gingerly, her left paw moved so it was just underneath the she-cat’s injured limb. Grimacing at what was to happen, the worst part of it, Moonblaze quietly spoke once more, sympathy radiating from her kind voice. ”Ehm…Amberpaw, this is going to hurt a little…well…a lot. But don’t worry, just breath and..well…you know…” Moonblaze’s pretty face turned to that of a frown. She didn’t want the apprentice to be too focused on the pain. It would just hurt more. What she needed…was…a distraction! After the dislocated shoulder was fixed, she could move on to the minor wounds and broken leg! Moonblaze looked up from her patient, eyeing the cats that weren’t too far away. She spotted Amberpaw’s love, Briskpaw. Her frantic gaze melted into that of thoughtfulness as her gaze lingered on the small tabby tom. He’s so worried about Amberpaw, probably rivaling that of even Peachpaw’s! Poor little scrap. He probably held himself responsible…and cares for the usually upbeat apprentice before her very much. He would do anything for her…anything….that’s it! A thought fluttered into her mind, she mentally sighed in relief. ”Briskpaw! Amberpaw will loosen up and focus on him if he comes and distracts her! Brilliant! Okay, so with this, I should be able to move her shoulder back into its rightful socket without too much pain for Amberpaw. What I don’t want right now is Amberpaw passing out…I better hurry.” Without a second thought, Moonblaze called loudly in Briskpaw’s direction, where he followed his father, Burrpelt, to. ”Briskpaw! Will you come over here please?” Moonblaze could only hope things would go as planned and that she would be able to save the apprentice from losing her dream as a warrior. Time was against her. ╚════════════════════════════╝◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄❝Tʜᴇ MOON ᴡɪʟʟ ᴀʟᴡᴀʏs BLAZE ᴛʜʀᴏᴜɢʜ ᴛʜᴇ DARKNESS...❞

Flicking my ears with worry, I turned around and saw Silverstar blinking at me. She nodded, indicating she wanted to see me, and I padded to her side wearily, knowing she would be asking about the newcomer. We backed away from the group so we could talk in private. "What happened to him?" she asked softly. I sighed, wrapping my tail around my paws as I sat down, and said, "Found him out by the Oak Tree Clearing. Apparently he got into a fight with a fox. I'm not sure how he survived, but I couldn't leave him to die...without a medicine cat, he..." I trailed off, and Silverstar nodded. "Very true," she murmured, "But can we afford to treat a stranger when so many of our own warriors are injured? StormClan is the most mixed Clan as far as blood goes. I know NightClan will never let us forget that. We have always been lucky to have brave cats willing to give their lives for StormClan, but many of these cats aren't Clan-born...perhaps we are being to friendly towards outsiders." I rolled my eyes and scoffed, "We're just treating him! Besides, our rogue-blood warriors are just as fierce as any StormClan warrior. You and I are rogue. What-" "But that doesn't mean we should trust them," Silverstar snapped. "We have let so many strangers into the Clan. The Warrior Code states we must challenge any strangers, not welcome them into our home. Perhaps we have been ignorant of what this does to StormClan's reputation." I looked at her in shock, wondering why she suddenly held this opinion. She was making sense, however. I mulled over what she said, twitching my whiskers. "But we don't. I nearly chased off Delgue before realizing he was injured. In fact, StormClan has been very compassionate. I was allowed to become a warrior because I had lost my family and was all alone as a kitten. Thor was allowed in because we needed all the help we could get fighting the Slayers. Whisperblade was freezing to death...and, once more, we needed help against the Slayers. He nearly died fighting, actually. I mean, each situation is unique..." "But they're not," Silverstar said with a sigh. "Some rogue is hurt, so we decide to help them. They become enthralled with our way of life and pledge themselves to us. We give them a chance to prove themselves, and they always do. We'll always need extra paws around the Clan, but should we break the Code to get it? I understand they risk their lives for us, but..." Silverstar looked away, then said softly, "If we weren't in a time of chaos, I wouldn't be accepting rogues into the Clan. We almost got wiped out by the Slayers, and it's a good thing we had extra warriors, but...during times of peace, all the other Clans see is a Clan full of rogues. Can we not take care of ourselves without outside interference? I thought it would strengthen the Clan, but in the end, we're weakening it..." I gazed at her, not sure how to react to what she was saying. She was making a very valid point. I looked away, focusing on the darkening sky above us. "Silverstar, you've only ever done what you've thought was best for the Clan..." She sighed, muttering, "The path to the Dark Forest is forged with good intentions." I glanced back at her, at a loss for words. She turned to me wearily and murmured, "I just don't know if it's the right thing to do anymore. You'll have to make these decisions, too, when you're leader." I nodded silently, and she sighed once more. "Ah, well, I hope he survives. And I pray for a speedy recovery for Amberpaw. Hopefully her warriorship won't be affected." I flicked my tail, glancing back in the direction of our makeshift camp. "StarClan willing, I agreed, worry glimmering in my eyes.
Silverstar and I rested there, sitting on our haunches and watching the Clan buzz on with their lives. I felt awful for Silverstar. I hadn't realized how much these decisions affected her. Perhaps the other Clans saw her as weak for allowing so many rogues into StormClan. I knew for a fact that Darkstorm and Whisperblade were allowed partially, if not entirely, because of how much they meant to me. Silverstar had always been motherly towards me...could she have sacrificed her duties as leader to make me happy? I hoped dearly not. I hadn't realized how selfish I'd been... But the more I thought about it, the more I began to understand that I had a very big part to play in it. Would Darkstorm or Whisperblade have ever been interested in being StormClan warriors if it weren't for me? No. No, they wouldn't have. That fact burned in my mind.
There was nothing to do about it now-there was no way we could kick them out. But...perhaps, when I became leader...I would be less lenient. Rogues were not necessary, perhaps not even during times of great danger. Maybe it was hypocritical, but it was what StormClan needed, and I would follow through if that was what it took to make StormClan stronger. `•.¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.•´✶ ❖ ✶☂ Mistake me for love long lost, remind me of a love once found you paradox of a shadow, I need you around.

"Thunderflight?"
A soothing voice called the she cat from a short distance behind her. When she turned she could see him sitting there, as if he had always been there in her shadow. His face reflected her thoughtful one. He could tell she had a lot on her mind.
"I found the sent of a stranger's blood and tracked it here. Who is your new friend? I assume he is welcome since it accompanied your own sent."
He smiled kindly to his mate.
"I saw you go off with Silverstar..."
He had not listened on on the conversation, despite his old ways, but he could only guess what it was they talked about due to the arrival of the injured traveler. He often wondered just how much of Ebonysun's words weighed on the depudy's mind. His gaze shifted towards the medicine cat's den. The weary traveler's situation was not much different from his own situation when he had first entered Stormclan. His gaze returned to Thunderflight. He himself knew of how Silverstar worried about the clan reputation, and often worried how he effected it. He was not Stormclan born, but he could never bring himself to leave Thunderfligth and his kittens, was this wrong of him? All he desired was to make Thunderflight's life as happy as he possibly could, even if it ment staying hidden.

XNekoponX Moonblaze and Fadinghorizon Delgue Delgue let out a sigh commotion had started to pick up around the makeshift camp this clan of forest cats inhabited as the medicine cats came alive. He looked around once more examining the scene small groups of the clan cats had formed. Every once in a while one of them might shoot him a glare and he could hear murmuring, odds are they weren't talking about how their day was or a nice view in the forest they found. He looked over to the two medicine cats Moonblaze and Fadinghorizon. The one he could assume was in charge of the two was the pretty white she-cat Moonblaze. He had seen many an attractive she-cat in his day but she took the cake. He than looked over to the other medicine cat Fadinghorizon as she approached him a bit. She began to examine his injuries feeling her eyes on him he looked up at her his dark green visage meeting her gaze. She offered a small smile it was false though her eyes told a different story about how she was feeling. He lowered his gaze as Fadinghorizon began to speak, he couldn't stop himself from letting a cackle out. He could tell this medicine cat wasn't very used to being commanding as the way her voice started out, but he couldn't complain she got the job done disbanding the group of murmuring cats. He looked back to Moonblaze and saw her exchange some words with the she-cat that had escorted him over here his hearing was already bad to begin with so he couldn't make out what they were saying. He had to assume from the distress he detected in thungerflight before they were words of comfort the affectionate action then after confirmed what he was thinking. When Delgue came back from being lost in his thoughts he realized he had lost even more blood and was now laying in almost a small pool of it. He heard Moonblaze call for a nest made of moss nearby he didn't know where that nest came from but who was he to complain the ground here wasn't exactly the softest. He winced a bit as he stood as the two clan cats helped him to the nest he slowly lowered himself down into the nest getting a bit comfortable. Fadinghorizon had been hovering over him for a bit before Moonblaze approached him he looked up at her to meet her gaze. She spoke with a warm smile and a gentle tone. This was strange something was different about this she-cat he'd become quite good at detecting hostility, intentions, and lies just by a cats eyes or the way they said something and almost a million other gives. While what she said wasn't exactly the most sincere thing in the world she was the first cat to not express uneasy hostility like the rest of the cats here strange. He offered a quick nod in reply to her and nothing else as he watched Moonblaze go off towards the injured apprentice. He looked up to the orange she-cat she looked as if she was gathering courage to say something he was right. He let out a slight cackle again "Whoa, Relax there Wide-Eyes I don't bite." he said to Fadinghorizon another cackle following soon after, he could be in the most tragic of situation and his off beat sense of humor would still manage to rear it's head. "Yep you got the name right, and yeah you're the boss here Wide Eyes." He replied calling her by the nickname once more. He did as she asked remaining still as she worked her magic. He winced a bit as she cleansed his wounds and then applied cobwebs that was the only medical practice he recognized. He had seen cobwebs used a few times before to stop bleeding and they did work wonders as he felt his own bleeding slowing. He didn't exactly like the fluffy little burrs she had stuck to his fur but he could guess they served to hold something in place. He accepted the poppy seed He also recognized these, where he came from if you were lucky enough to get something to kill the pain you were privileged they must be a lot more common in the forest. Delgue nodded again in reply to her instructions. Looks like he'd be stuck here for a bit longer than he'd like. He cackled softly at what she said next her green gaze meeting his own her eyes seemed to shimmer with compassion. "FadingHorizon eh?" he asked. "I suppose you weren't enjoying your nick-name as much as me than?" He asked once more. "I don't need anything else for now." he replied. He could already tell he was going to like this Fadinghorizon.

Burrpelt gave a short nod, gazing down at Briskpaw. "That is good thinking," he told him in a tone of approval. In a way, he was glad Briskpaw seemed level-headed about the entire situation. Burrpelt would have accepted his son no matter how he was, but a part of him respected the state of calm. Briskpaw really was like his father, even if Burrpelt himself didn't see it directly.
The tabby tom kept a calm gaze on the newcomer, but decided to stay out of the matter. His emerald gaze traveled over to Moonblaze as she took order, and he respectively ushered himself out of the way. But he didn't go far. He was still too worried for his apprentice. What happened if her injuries prevented her from training? Was her warriorship going to be delayed? Burrpelt's eyes clouded over in heavy thought and he began pacing restlessly.
What he wouldn't give to be with Skywhisker right now. Or any of his kin. He missed the comfort Oaktail used to provide him. As a matter of fact, he never realized how much he had appreciated his brother. It seemed that whenever he was upset he sought comfort from his friends and family. Burrpelt seemed troubled, ears flat against his head as he continued to pace. Starclan help us, he mentally prayed. Please give the clan the strength they need to remain standing.

[Briskpaw cleared out as the medicine cats came along and began tending to the injured. Finally! At least Amberpaw would be able to get help now. She was safe. However, Briskpaw kept her in his view. Would she die from her wounds? I mean, she was slightly bleeding. What if she couldn't walk properly again? Briskpaw sighed at the thought, and rested his head on his paws. He lay right next to Burrpelt.]
[Amberpaw, barely staying awake, mumbled a few words as the medicine cat came to her and fed her poppy seeds. The two small seeds calmed her every rattled nerve. Yet, the pain from her two injured legs throbbed throughout her entire body. She could still slightly feel pain. As the medicine cat moved her foreleg a bit, Amberpaw softly cried.]
[Briskpaw could hear Amberpaw's soft cry from where he lay. He shuttered. She was in more pain then he thought. Suddenly, he heard Moonblaze call him over. Getting up, Briskpaw quickly made his way through the cats and over to Amberpaw and Moonblaze.]
"Do you need me to get any herbs? Or fresh-kill?"[He asked quickly, ready to grab anything the head medicine cat would need to heal Amberpaw. He looked down at Amberpaw. She squirmed a bit knowing that Briskpaw was next to her again. She calmed down a bit, and opened her eyes. Briskpaw looked down at her for a moment, then back up at Moonblaze. However, he kept Amberpaw in sight at the corner of his eye.]

Fadinghorizon
Medicine-cat of StormClan // She-cat // Orange tabby with deep blue eyes
OOC: I have permission to temp. control Fading ;w; we can't leave our other med.cat out when we need all the help we can get xD It was kind of funny posting this eue Fadinghorizon is still really young, she can't help being a furball~
Fadinghorizon could only snort in response, mentally groaning to why she had to heal the snarky rogue. She would much rather tend to the chocolate apprentice nearby; at least Amberpaw wouldn’t give her this attitude, being half unconscious might have been a plus too. The orange tabby willed herself to ignore the petty nick-name…Wide-Eyes. Groaning under her breath as she applied the last of the cobwebs and poultice needed, being no where near as gentle as Moonblaze would have, even smirking slightly as Delgue winced, she began to think rather angrily about the situation she had been forced into. Really? Wide-Eyes?! It’s not like it’s rare to feel uneasy when around a complete stranger, let alone having to heal him! How dare he play around as if he wasn’t in a Clan full of hostile and uncomfortable cats? It’s not my fault I was chosen to heal this mouse-brained fox fighting rogue! But, I know better then to challenge Moonblaze. How can she be so calm when we are in such a dilemma? Ugh…I hope he leaves soon, he’s causing even more distress then needed… Sighing inwardly, the she-cat forced herself through the healing process, finishing after offering the new patient a poppyseed for pain, which he gladly took, replying that he needn’t anything else. That was a start; he didn’t need to take up anymore of StormClan’s herb store than he has with his life-threatening wounds. He was oh so very lucky Thunderflight found him in time to be treated before he really started dying or anything.
The young medicine-cat spoke to soon when she thought he was finished blabbering with his unneeded remarks. His last comment as she began to put away the herbs really set her off. She fought to strain herself from raking his ears off, finishing off what was left of his already non existent ones. As if feeling the building irritation from her former apprentice, Moonblaze shot her an icy stare, which seemed to order Behave yourself. StarClan knows what you’ll get yourself into if you act out. She could only submit to the beautiful medicine-cat, but couldn’t help to sticking her tongue out like an immature kit in response. Moonblaze simply gave her a pretty smile, chuckling softly before returning to her work. Not being able to stay silent any long, Fadinghorizon decided to give the tom a piece of her mind. Taking a breath, she replied haughtily, her voice hushed for only the dark furred stranger to hear. ”Yeah, I enjoy it just as much as a mouse enjoys being hunted. Don’t get to comfortable; you’ve already caused quite a problem being here. You chose quite the right time to invade our territory, let alone get injured. Your lucky Moonblaze would never turn down any injured cat. If not for that and StormClan’s compassion, you would be out of here faster than you could say ‘mouse’.” Fadinghorizon finished, taking a defiant sniff as she began packing the herbs away into their rightful packets. She couldn’t help herself. She wasn’t any wise ol’ Silverstar. She was still an immature she-cat. She should be entitled to her opinion, and she could tell that his very presence caused her clan to be even tenser then needed. Her brilliant green eyes traveled towards the sublime silhouette of her former mentor as she was bent over her own patient, the snowy she-cat was busy gently applying the soft substance known as Cobweb to the wounds covering Amberpaw’s flank. She frowned thoughtfully; Moonblaze rarely was able to relax. She hoped all this trouble would end soon so her mentor could get a well earned nap or something. Fadinghorizon sighed once more before continuing with the herbs. She vainly hoped that Delgue over here would shut up and just rest. But StarClan knows he would or not.

The desperate healer dug into one of her ivy leaf packets, finding a fresh juniper berry among the small store, a little thyme, along with a tiny bit of heather nectar. She mixed the herbs together onto a small leaf, producing a small mixture, before gently nosing it towards Amberpaw’s slightly agape muzzle. She watched thoughtfully as the tabby apprentice lapped it up feebly, relaxing slightly as the concoction began to kick in. Juniper worked well in replacement of poppyseed, with some left over heather nectar and thyme to make it easier to swallow and sooth the apprentice. Moonblaze didn’t want to risk giving Amberpaw another poppyseed, so this would work in its place, not to mention sooth the patient in pain. Moonblaze sent a quick prayer to her starry ancestors before taking out more herbs to apply to Amberpaw’s current bruises and cuts she received, besides the leg injuries.
Okay…you have this Moonblaze…make a poultice for her scratches and such…horsetail…marigold…some comfreyroot…goldenrod too…okay…applying it to wounds…cob webs…oh…I’m running out…need to get more…”
Moonblaze applied the freshly made poultice gingerly; still tasting the tangy scent of herb in her maw, to Amberpaw’s other wounds, glad that those were out of the way, at the cost of her last cobweb. She glanced over towards Fadinghorizon, seeing as the orange medicine-cat finished with her patient, who now lay comfortably in his nest, she motioned the young she-cat over with a quick flick of her tail, gaze flickering anxiously from her fellow medicine-cat to her patient, who moaned from time to time. At least she was conscious. Fadinghorizon padded over, Moonblaze stepping forward to whisper something in her ear. Nodding, and with a single twitch of her tail, Fadinghorizon turned back and left the camp. The pretty medicine-cat turned her attention, once more, to Amberpaw, watching the small she-cat’s flank rise and fall, indicating that she was still breathing decently. She began to lose her train of thought, faltering within her mind as she glued her eyes to her patient’s pelt.
"Do you need me to get any herbs? Or fresh-kill?"
The sound of a young tom’s voice, a familiar one, broke her train of thought. Briskpaw, the tom she had called for moments ago came to her aid. His brisky voice made the she-cat’s heart melt; he really did care for Amberpaw. He was very quick to help to injured apprentice, especially knowing the fact that the small tom usually was an emotionless furball. Flicking her icy gaze to meet a fretful green one, Moonblaze’s eyes softened as she spoke in a mild tone, raising her head to look down on him. ”Greetings Briskpaw. I’ve called you over because Amberpaw is still too focused on the pain. See, she has a dislocated shoulder. What I need to do to fiz it is to move it back into place with a swift but strong motion. That is when you come in.” Moonblaze motioned with an ivory claw towards the awkward limb that was causing much of Amberpaw’s pain. The white healer began a quiet mew, her eyes portraying both hope and pity. ”I need you to distract Amberpaw here, so she is focused on something else while I proceed with the procedure. It’ll be a lot easier for her, and less painful. I already gave her enough poppy seed to dull most of it…but I’m afraid that even that might not be enough. Will you distract her for me please?” The she-cat pleased kindly, her gaze travelling down towards the currently in pain apprentice. The soft moans releasing their selves from the tabby she-cat didn’t make the medicine-cat feel any better. ╚════════════════════════════╝◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄❝Tʜᴇ MOON ᴡɪʟʟ ᴀʟᴡᴀʏs BLAZE ᴛʜʀᴏᴜɢʜ ᴛʜᴇ DARKNESS...❞

OOC: Oh my How very Feisty xD Delgue Delgue could sense a tinge of annoyance he managed to catch the groan as well. He could guess what the young she-cat might be thinking. Something along the lines oh how he could joke at a time like this or something along the lines of why am I stuck with this cat. He had answers to those questions but he didn't bother to say anything. He'd always been that way making jokes in the worst of times no matter the situation. He was never one to panic, the more a cat panics the bigger the chance they had for error and the bigger the chance they might do something rash or stupid. He knew full well he encased in a bubble of hostility he had no allies here and was well aware of it he wouldn't be able to change that for a while so why not try and make light of the situation a bit. That was his philosophy. He knew when he didn't ask for anything else the young she-cat's face seemed to light up he suppressed a chuckle. When she stuck her tongue out at him he couldn't help but let out a cackle which quickly turned into a hearty laugh when she began to tell him off she was attempting to put him in his place. Now he could tell he was really going to like this she-cat. "I like you, Fadinghorizon was it? " he replied his laughter dying down. "You've got spunk, and before I forget." He slowly rose to his feet he slowly walked over to her "You saved my life today don't think that doesn't mean anything to me." he whispered the hard quality his voice possessed seemed to disappear for that one sentence. He then slowly made his way back to the nest and plopping back down.

[Briskpaw nodded as the medicine cat instructed him on what to do. Distract Amberpaw. That would be easy for him. Well, sort of. Briskpaw didn't know what to distract Amberpaw with! Obviously anything that's happened in the past few days wouldn't be good.. Maybe older memories? Good ones, of course.]
"Amberpaw.."[Briskpaw said softly, crouching down to Amberpaw's level, so they could be eye to eye. The she-cat's eyes looked glassy from the tears she had shed because of her pain. Briskpaw ignored that, and pretended that it was like any other day. Where Amberpaw was all bouncy and happy. Smiling, Briskpaw simply touched noses with Amberpaw. The she-cat made an attempt at a smile, but then rested her chin onto the ground. Before being able to speak, Briskpaw heard a faint voice.]
"You think we'd be able to get that squirrel back?"[Amberpaw whispered. Briskpaw chuckled softly. Briskpaw had lost the squirrel as soon as the earthquake began. For all he knew, the squirrel could be fare away, running off with the other prey. Or dead.] "Maybe, I don't know. It could be anywhere, but we could get another one."[He murmured as softly as Amberpaw, staying close to her.]
"I look pretty bad, don't I?"[She whispered again, looking down at the ground. Briskpaw rolled his eyes.] "You look perfect. More adorable then ever. I don't care how badly the earthquake hurt you, you're beautiful in my eyes, Amberpaw.."[He told her, rasping his tongue against her forehead. Amberpaw weakly smiled.]
"She's bringing out the best in me.."

He had thought about offering his services but decided against it as it seemed that they had enough cats for the patrols. As the damage assessing patrol left, the tom called out a "Good luck" and returned his attention to looking around.
The orange tom chuckled as he watched two recent apprentice's playing by the water. It was refreshing how, even in times of danger, the young always found time to play. It brought him back to his kithood and early apprenticeship. How, even though they had their paws full with training; they still found time to play and practice.
Hareleap watched silently as Briskpaw brought in his friend, Amberpaw. A worried look entered his eyes but he still didn't move from his spot. Two warriors, Burrpelt and Featherheart, were dealing with it and they seemed to have things under control. Adding another warrior to the mixture would just be another body in the way.
Though as Featherheart seemed to take charge of the hunting patrol and offered to let Burrpelt stay, then the tom stood up. Finally, he could help. Padding up to the ginger she-cat he nodded lightly. "I believe the apprentice you are looking for is Squirrelpaw." Hareleap informed her, he remembered their recent apprentice ceremony quite well. He remembered which cats were apprenticed and which warriors got apprentices.
Taking his eyes from the she-warrior, the older warrior looked over to Burrpelt. "Amberpaw should be just fine. Moonblaze is a talented Medicine Cat and I'm sure Starclan won't take your apprentice yet. She has a life ahead of her Starclan won't want to deprive her of. I'm sure of it." He reassured the worried mentor. ─────────────────────────────────────────────────Friendly / Compassionate / Sweet / Loyal / Single

She was silly to think he would shut his trap for once. Oh, was she wrong. The orange tabby couldn’t help but giggle, he had quite the humor, she’d give him that. But what she wouldn’t give him was the satisfaction that she like having the fox-fighting idiot around. So, she simply suppressed her feelings easily with a deadpan look. He began saying something about liking her, which she shrugged off, she thought she was a relatively kind cat; somecat was bound to grow comfortable around her. But, the thing he said next did catch her off guard.
"You saved my life today don't think that doesn't mean anything to me."
The young medicine-cat felt herself heat up slightly under her fur… She quickly scolded herself while retorting carefully.
"Well, good to know. But it's all thanks to StormClan, we saved your life. Now get back in your nest before you open your wounds. I'm not wasting more supplies on a reckless furball!"
With that, she returned to packing up her supplies, back facing Delgue. She couldn’t possibly consider this cat a friend! No, she wasn’t supposed to get friendly with him! He was just some stranger that was taking up supplies. Yeah, that’s it. Of course it was! Fadinghorizon chastised herself mentally before she noticed her mentor call her over. The she-cat shot Delgue a haughty grin; maybe she could see him as a friend of some sort. Maybe. He still made the she-cat feel very uncomfortable and unsafe. But that, she couldn’t help. There exchange didn't change the fact that he was still an intruder and nuisance to the Clan. She sighed inwardly and padded towards her pretty comrade, Moonblaze, an ear twitching slightly as the white she-cat whispered softly into her ear.
”Go outside of camp and find me some more cobweb, as much as you can bring, and return as quickly as possible. You know what it’s for. I’d like to move on to Amberpaw’s broken leg, it being the last injury to take care of.”
Pulling her head back, the orange healer nodded in understanding before turning towards the make-shift camp’s entrance. Determined not to let her previous mentor down.
~
"Thank You Briskpaw."
Moonblaze commented quietly as the son of her eldest cousin did his job, hope shining like stars in her crystal painted eyes, Briskpaw was doing a wonderful job distracting Amberpaw. Quickly, while Amberpaw was still chatting weakly to her fellow apprentice, Moonblaze placed her paws on the she-cat’s leg. Her right paw positioned itself upon the dislocated shoulder, the left one just below. Gently but firmly, the white medicine-cat gripped the limb. She took a short breath, focusing herself on this fatal action that, if done wrong, could mean extreme consequences on both her and the chocolate patient. But, the chatter between Briskpaw and a successfully diverted Amberpaw built confidence in the beautiful she-cat’s proposition.
Narrowing her icy blues in concentration, and with swiftly as a panicked bird’s heartbeat, she flicked her paws in a quick motion.

[Briskpaw dipped his head as the medicine cat thanked him for his skills in distracting. Oh, so he actually was good at it? New skill has been achieved! Chuckling to himself, Briskpaw continued to talk to Amberpaw, receiving replies one after another. Suddenly, Briskpaw heard a popping noise.]
[Looking down, Briskpaw saw Amberpaw's facial expression. Her amber eyes were wide open, and she was shaking. Before he knew it, Amberpaw began screeching a pain for a few seconds in response to the pain, but her yowls died down as the pain died down with the yowls. Briskpaw rasped his tongue against her forehead, and purred.]
"You're okay, Amberpaw. Don't worry. It'll be over soon."[He cooed, rasping his tongue against her forehead once more. A tear streaked down from Amberpaw's eye. Briskpaw wiped it away with his tail tip.]
"I wanna go to sleep."[Amberpaw begged, hoping that maybe in her slumber the pain would go away, and be replaced with a sweet dream. Maybe sleeping would block out the pain, as well.]
"You can sleep once Moonblaze is finished with your hindleg, okay?"[He assured her. Amberpaw moaned.] "There's nothing wrong with my hindleg! See, I can move i-"[Amberpaw cut herself off as she tried to move the broken leg with another loud screech.]
"It's broken, Amberpaw. Don't you dare move it again until it's fixed! You're hurting yourself that way!"[He said sternly, trying to keep the apprentice from hurting herself. Amberpaw nodded, and closed her eyes.]
