As Keva had said his talents lie along the line of shifting. He almost seems demonic in his abilities, to perhap have a doppelganger in his background. No shape, no form seems to be beyond his grasp, though he has yet to figure this out. His talent is shadowed though, as though it will need something catastrophic to drag it forth.

Keva sighs. "Didn't find anything did ye? Thought not. I'm a dud... but if ye'll have me, I'd like to do something with meself. Not sure what ye can teach me that I can't find in a book though."

As long as it is fair, yes... and as I've never seen you anything but fair, I'd say you'll have no problem with me. But Ma and Dad left me in charge here. I can't go anywhere right now."

"Don't ye have to ask me Ma or Dad before we do this?" asks Keva quietly rising to his feet. Only then does Kero realize how much the kitsune has grown over the past few months.

"Fine by me, then, Uncle Kero... or must I call you something else now?" says Keva pushing his hair back from hs face. Odd, that hair, like his fur when a fox, so white it glows like silver in the moon light.

Keva rolls his eyes and sighs. "Can I have me first one back then." he asks with a hopeful grin.

Keva shrugs. "A man can try, can't he?" he says with a grin. "Well, I'm off to bed, Uncle Kekrobian. I better get some shut eye if I want to hit the books early tomorrow. If I try to read while I'm tired I just wind up decorating the page with me nose."

Kerobian soon finds out that if it involves a book, Keva is on it in a flash. The kitsune might not be much when it comes to magic, but he knows his father's library inside out, not only knows what books are where but a good deal of what is inside them as well. His apparent laziness was only a mask to hide his intense love of learning. And the report is ready long before it is due.

Of course, this has Averus grumbling all over the place. He has torn the garden apart, figuratively, looking for the blue flower with red thorns, and still has yet to find it. Until he goes to examine a bluish tinted rose and pricks his nose on a thorn which turns instantly red. Blinking, wondering if indeed this is the flower Kerobian wants, he tests another thorn and it does the same. In fact by the time he has managed to bite off the blossom, his mouth is quite sore. He carries it to the mage, who is in the kitchen with Champhy, having a cup of tea. "Master Kerobian... I've looked and looked and can't find a blue flower with red thorns in the gardens or anywhere near the castle... but this morning..." He drops the flower on the table before the mage and waits, waiting for it to be rejected.
