Ai smiles. "I've tried for years to get him to vary his diet a bit, but truth be told... even walking on two, I prefered meat over anything else. Kind of comes with the territory I guess."

Andra gives him a serious look. "I take it Kero knows about you... or you wouldn't have just said that. Why are you impersonating a house cat right now?"

"House cat... smouse cat... I'm far larger than that... just not nearly as big as I should be. As for why, it's kind of personal. Shar knows about it though... as does Mica. And iffin I could change back, I would. I am growing though... albeit slowly. Who knows, maybe tomorrow I can look Kero in the knees." says Ai lightly, but her eyes look a little scared.

*she's actually almost to Kero's shoulder... barely...*

"What? So you can roll me out the door?" she sallies back laughing. "I will admit though.. I am a bit hungry."

"Hungry?" laughs Andra. "From the look of it you had twice what I've had so far and I can barely finish it."

Ai doesn't argue when he refills her plate to overflowing. But this time she seems to have reached her limit. As she licks the last of the sauce up and washes it all down with a bowl of tea, she burps and blushes beet red. "Oops... sorry. But boy did that feel good."

She chuckles and hops awkwardly to the floor, her tummy so round she almost looks pregnant. Waddling to the door, she tells the two males she's going to go lie down by the fire. "I'm stuffed and a stuffed cat is a sleepy cat..." she remarks wisely.

"Sing for me, Kero..." she whispers snuggling close. Andra selects a book from one of Tam's shelves and asks if it's alright if he reads it. Surprisingly it is a well writen romance novel which makes Ai chuckle.

"Anything on that shelf is fair game. Nothing is restricted. Though the one above it is off limits. Nothing personal, mind you, but they are my personal diaries... and though I won't mind people reading them when I am gone... right now I'm kind of opposed to it."

Andra smiles at her. "No problem... this will do. May I take a lamp into the bedroom? I'm rather tired. Not really sleepy, but not quite awake either. I thought I'd read until I feel capable of sleeping."

"I don't mind," says Ai with a sleepy grin. "But it is Kero's room, so you might want to ask him. You know, he has these light stones that work just as nicely as a lamp and are less dangerous, no need to blow them out, just tip a cup over them if it's too bright."

"Why to help him see at night, why else?" says Ai before Kero could answer. "Sheesh... it's a stone that glows in the dark... a nice experiment on safe indoor lighting... no way to turn it on or off though, except they do run down if you don't leave them in the sun to recharge. They are on his window sill."

She snuggles close to Kero and closes her eyes. "He's afraid of spider, you're afraid of the dark... so what? Now sing for me, dulcha." she sends purring softly against him.

Ai sighs and leans against him, her thoughts drifting with his song, listening to the music, the pulse of his heartbeat, dwelling on anything but the nagging worries in her own head.

Ai listens to Andra's quiet rumble and laughs softly. "We should probably go to bed as well. Not much else we can do locked up here as we are. And while this playform is nice... I miss my bed, dulcha. Seems the only time I'm sleeping in it lately, I'm so far out of it, I have no idea what's going on."
